Monkey Island Stay

This place was awesome! Just 10 minutes from the venue we were going to. They had a community pool. Everything was perfect! We will plan on staying there next year!

Great home base for the lake

Rented the place for 2 nights, our contact was super responsive, and we were able to arrange an early check in and late checkout with no problem! The first night was just my husband and I with our pup. We really enjoyed relaxing in the pool, and even made friends with several residents, everyone was super friendly! The rest of our family joined us the next day, for a total of 8 people and a dog, but there was more than enough room for several more.The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable, we appreciated all of the fans! The game room/garage was a really fun addition to the stay, it gave the kiddos something to do before bed. Make sure you bring toiletries, the upstairs bathrooms didn't have shower supplies, only the master. The location was great, within just a few minute drive to several restaurants/gas station, and Shangri-la, and the price was right! Definitely choose this rental if you are looking for a spacious home base for your lake stay, we will definitely be booking here again!!!

We had a good time it was perfect space for us. I don’t want to say negative things about the staff but we believe they could do better our check in was 4 but they asked for 4:30 which worked out ok but they needed more time for making the beds but they left the washer and dryer full of towels and sheets being me I did fold them. The neighbor was kind of huffy with my son about the trash can sitting outside. When we arrived we had to move it to the side and they proceeded to let him know. We did move it inside . Please let the renters know by putting it in the guest guideline booklet. The lady that I contacted there was very nice and accommodating. But they could do a little better job of cleaning the floors we’re not clean. So I did the best I could cleaning before we left. Would I stay there again and recommend it knowing what I do yes.

We'd love to come back!

We had a minor issue opening the door with the keypad but the lady that answered the phone when we called for help was very kind and considerate. The place was perfect for our six adults and two children, ages 4 & 11. GREAT pool just a short walk away, and we made good use of the pool table. We even bought some sidewalk chalk from the local Dollar Store and left it there since there wasn't any. :-) The place even has martini glasses, lol, something you don't find in every bnb! Oh, and the sheets/comforter were enough that I made a note to look at the tag and want to upgrade our own. We used the bbq grilll, perfect. Didn't use the hot tub (it was too hot to enjoy weatherwise) we watched the olympics, played billards, cooked, went to the pool and found some interesting places to eat out and rented a pontoon. Be careful if you rent a pontoon on Grand Lake though, there are things in the water that will cost you a new prop if you aren't careful.
