About this property
Private Island on Georgian Bay: Parry Sound
Welcome to our private island cottage in Parry Sound on the South Channel of beautiful Georgian Bay, with sunrise and sunset views. This charming and cozy space has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay including a fully equipped kitchen. The island has a unique lighthouse lookout, a private dock and clear water for swimming. In the evenings, relax on the spacious deck, or gather around the fire pit. Perfect for couples, families, and small groups.
The space:
Access to a canoe, and two paddleboards are available.
Guest access:
You and you alone have access to the whole property. It’s an island, so pick a side and choose a view.
Other things to note:
There are 3 small Bedrooms upstairs, with a Queen, a Double bed and a bunkbed (2 adult singles). Note; the bunkbeds are located in a small room directly off of the double bedroom.
There is also a small bathroom upstairs and a full bathroom on the main floor.
There is a comfortable full Queen sized sofa bed in the main living room, with a brand new mattress.
The kitchen has a regular stove and cooktop, the fridge is modern and there’s an additional fridge in the shed for drinks, treats and extra food storage.
We also have 1 adult folding cot, and a kids cot available on the island.
The antique outdoor shower with hot water is fully functional! As well as a clean outhouse.
Extra things to note:
The Island is “boat-access only”; getting to our cottage is an adventure in itself. Whether you're embarking on the 5-minute journey from Glen Burnie Marina or the 20-minute ride from the main Parry Sound dock, you'll enjoy the thrill of navigating these famous waters, with stunning landscapes unfolding around you. Alternatively, it is a 2 km canoe/kayak ride.
We are also a short canoe/kayak away from the entrance of Massassauga Provincial Park.
Please note that due to its unique location, our property might be best suited to guests with boating experience and access to their own boat. This ensures that you have the freedom and convenience to fully explore what this unique location has to offer!
Local water taxi's are available for transportation to and from the island; the fee is variable. $50-100 per trip.
