This cottage is beautiful, spotless, and cozy. The views are stunning. Second stay at this property and it was wonderful. Whale watching from the deck, amazing! Very relaxing and private. Highly recommend.
The property offers awesome ocean views and, while small, makes excellent use of space. The house is very clean, well maintained, and stocked with all the amenities you need—including a good washer and dryer. Access to the beach is via very steep stairs, but if you’re in decent shape it’s manageable—we even carried an infant and a 4-year-old several times without issue. That said, with the price set to double next year, it makes the property much less desirable to return to, despite its many positives.
I am would like tell you that this property is horrible in the hopes that no one will rent it and it will always be available for us, but good things must be shared and this place is one of life’s good things. Come here to listen to the surf and let all of life’s concerns melt away
Perched on the side of a very large hill, looking over the beach, we had fun watching a shark come and swim in within our view each morning. It’s a nice place to watch the sunset too. It’s close to fun places to go on the cape. Enough space for 6 to be
Let me start by saying the property and home were stunning. Very well organized, thoroughly cleaned, and great overall upkeep and decor. The views are unfathomable. Even from photos, there’s really no doubt about that.
With that said, there was one major flaw for our group that I figured I would mention for other incoming rentals. The primary bedroom boasts 360° windows for a stunning view, but there are no blackout blinds. It sounds silly to mention but there was no chance any of us were sleeping past 4AM in that room (5AM tops for the other two rooms.) The light in the primary bedroom is unbearable. You can’t even relax in the room with the blinds down and drawn. I sort of wish I was exaggerating but, each of us in a party of six, all felt the same way. And we all go on vacation to relax, no? My pregnant sister and her husband stayed in the room Saturday night and had to leave the trip early due to lack of rest. My brother in law sleeps with an eye mask— it didn’t help.
In properties with rooms such as those I’d say it is imperative to either inform your guests that the room is abnormally bright, or to install blackout curtains. We all found it odd the room didn’t have this feature considering the rest of the house was very up to date. It’s a shame because as I said the property is absolutely stunning, but this flaw nearly rendered rooms uninhabitable. In addition, some of the screens were missing from screens. Not great considering the bug situation in the Cape.

Hi Patricia! This home is certainly in one of the most beautiful spots on the Cape - what a view! And the updates in the home do make for a very comfortable stay. We can certainly look into adding additional window coverings in the future along with the blinds that are in place. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us and we hope to see you again in the future! Best regards, Deb @ Del Mar Vacations
