The Riptides - Oregon Beach Vacations

Welcome to The Riptides, a quintessential beach house offering 75 feet of ocean frontage and stunning views of where the Necanicum River meets the Pacific Ocean. Located in the highly sought-after North Prom area of Seaside, this beautiful home comfortably accommodates up to 9 guests, including your furry friend, making it the ideal Oregon Coast vacation rental.

As you enter through the dining room, you'll find seating for 9 guests, plus a highchair for the little ones—perfect for family meals. The fully equipped kitchen provides everything you need for preparing meals during your stay.

The living room offers a cozy retreat with a flat-screen TV, a selection of books and games, and breathtaking ocean views. During cooler evenings, enjoy the warmth of the wood-burning fireplace. This level also features two bedrooms—one with twin bunk beds and another with a queen bed and ocean views—along with a full bathroom.

Step outside to the unique wrap-around porch, partially enclosed to allow year-round enjoyment. The porch includes a picnic table, outdoor furniture, and a charcoal BBQ, perfect for coastal meals regardless of the weather.

On the lower level, you'll find a fun recreational area with a foosball table, as well as a bunkroom that sleeps four, with a queen bed and two twins. The lower floor also includes a bathroom with a shower, a separate exterior entrance, and a laundry room with a washer and dryer, offering both privacy and convenience for your group.

Whether you're visiting Seaside for a family vacation, beach getaway, or exploring the Oregon Coast, The Riptides will be your perfect home away from home.

Dog Friendly for up to 2 dogs, no other pets allowed. Please do not leave dogs unattended at any time in or on the property.

This home is not the main home and is instead a studio with its own private entrance on the side of the house. The studio suite is attached to a private residential home that can be occupied. This home has a private side entry with 3 designated parking spaces and no on street parking.

Great property. Didn’t realize from the listing that the owner or another tenant is upstairs, but didn’t even notice, other than I wish I had the upstairs balcony view of the ocean :).Super clean and convenient access to the beach. Would definitely consider this property again.

Nice little house right by the beach and conviently located near down town. It however had the worst cooktop i have ever used wich ended up forcing us to eat out every meal for the stay.

Overall pretty nice

The house was very nice. The basement is not super inviting but the upstairs is super awesome and cozy. Everything was pretty clean except the floors had some dust and dog hair when we arrived. Overall would recommend!

Great Location

This beach house was perfect for a get away weekend. Right on the beach and walking distance to town. The house was clean, well kept, and in good condition. Enough room for a group of 8 friends to relax, eat, and enjoy catching up.

Great place to relax with dogs

We just needed a restful getaway so this house was perfect with comfy leather couches and amazing views. Plenty of trails in the seagrass for private walks with the dogs and beach was not far. Kitchen was very well stocked, maybe a bit small for cooking but we mostly ate out. The parking is tight, we had a 3500 diesel truck that took up the whole area and fortunately the construction workers next door were courteous and did not block us. It was noisy and crowded the whole stay because of them but they were friendly. The outdoor fire pit was missing and we had hauled wood all the way from MT for that. The Foosball table is in bad shape but we had fun playing anyway. Overall we really enjoyed the house and highly recommend!

Overall Impression

The view was impressive. That was the best feature. It was close to the beach and 12th street bridge for crabbing. We had to do quite a bit of cleaning of the property. Management can ask us for details. The beds and pillows really need to be replaced. There was construction going on next door which we were only alerted to the day before our stay. Overall, we would not stay here again.

Northern ocean view

We always enjoy our visit to the Oregon coast. Seaside is one of our favorite places, this home is located north of town so even though there was a volleyball tournament going We had a peaceful stay. We had beautiful weather. I will say that the couches are tired and not particularly comfortable. It would be nice to have a usable fire pit even though it would have to be closer to the patio. I would recommend this rental for families to enjoy the ocean.

Issues we encountered

1) Location was great but we were not told about construction right next door. It was noisy during the day.2) wifi information emailed to us was wrong 3) the windows in living room facing ocean were so dirty, we watched the view with a dirt filter 4) sink in the upstairs bathroom kept clogging,water pooling. 5) we had to take the bed linen off the beds? Do you not have cleaning crew to do this?

Birthday

We stayed here for a 60th birthday with sons and wives. This was a 70th birthday and it is just perfect. The house is peaceful and welcoming. The view is everything! If you have someone that can’t navigate the uneven ground and/or the loose sand, they will feel part of it because the water is right there, you can hear the waves. They are responsive to any request and always helpful. They have games and books for you. We saw some buckets, kites, kid items. I hope we can have someone’s 80th birthday here. We love the dining table that we can all fit around. Did I mention we love this place…Thank you

Right on the Beach

We had our own room with a big comfortable bed. The baby had a quiet room downstairs for naps. The older kids loved sleeping in bunk beds for the first time. Washer and drier was so great to have for all the wet clothes. The beach was just a short walk out the door. Loved the fireplace in the evenings after an exhausting day playing with the grandkids. We had one rainy day but the house has a foosball table, lots of board games and puzzles, and a ton of books.

There were clumps of dog hair and dust throughout the house. The top bunk on the bunkbed wasn't made, I found a deodorant cap on the lower bunk where I slept, the vent in the bathroom hasn't been cleaned in years, There were 5 pages on how to use the TV and 4 remotes. Feel like we should get a partial refund since I had to clean before everyone arrived.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice place, big open area for seating. One drawback for us was beds and rooms. One bedroom has 2 bunk beds that are really short and only would sleep children. my wife and I had to sleep on the two sofas in the living room (which was cool to wake up with that nice view) There is only one normal room queen bed. There is one queen and two twins downstairs in one open area that would be OK if you don't care about privacy. The game room downstairs needs a sleeper couch. We had thanksgiving and there is plenty of room for seating at the table. The refrigerator needs to be moved as it it right in the way. Ran out of dishwasher tablets and dish soap. This place charges premium rates do to the location and we chose it for the number of occupants it is supposed to accommodate however it does not really meet the advertised 9. It is great for pets but smelled like dogs. So if you have dogs, its great but make sure you look close at the sleeping arrangements.

Excellent location; awesome views of the ocean. Very nice, updated and well stocked kitchen. A little more dated and worn (broken lampshade in living room) than we were expecting; spots here and there that weren’t properly cleaned or dusted. But overall it suited our needs just fine and we would go back.
