Bonn Abbey is the perfect place to relax and indulge yourself. The Abbey is located in the picturesque village of Broke, surrounded by wonderful cellar doors and restaurants and a 10 minute drive to the heart of the Hunter Valley. The soaring cathedral ceilings and exposed timer beams make you feel as though you have been transported to a Cotswold village in England. Luxuriously furnished, Bonn Abbey can sleep 6-12 people, making it perfect for a group of friends or family whilst remaining intimate enough for smaller groups.

Bonn Abbey's large living room has a magnificent huge open fire, sit back, relax and enjoy this wonderful house whatever the weather outside. With features that include a spectacular rural outlook, gourmet kitchen, reverse cycle air conditioning, BBQ, modern double spa bath and antique claw foot bath, huge TV and entertainment unit a WIFI Sound System and free wireless internet - this is the perfect getaway. Relax and enjoy dinner around the large oak table or sit on the verandah at the rustic hardwood setting and enjoy breakfast with the birds at the same time, looking over the Brokenback ranges. You will be amazed at the stars in the night sky.

Many of the features of this wonderful house have a story to tell. The soaring cathedral ceilings showcase the exposed timber rafters and the floors are a combination of cool slate and polished floorboards with carpet in the bedrooms. Bonn Abbey has four spacious bedrooms and two large bathrooms plus an extra separate toilet. Accommodation consists of two queen size bedrooms downstairs. On the second level you have a third bedroom with a king bed (or two king singles) plus a single day bed and the fourth bedroom has a queen bed and two single beds. In addition to this, there is a single bed in the reading room, a small room that leads to one of the upstairs bedrooms allowing comfortable accommodation for up to 12 guests. There is also a screened outdoor room to the rear of the property looking over the gardens.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit/bond of $1000 is required for your stay and is payable as a credit card pre- authorisation. This will be processed approximately 24 - 48 hours before your arrival and expire 3-6 days after departure

MIDWEEK BOOKINGS and LONGER STAYS - Please contact us for a quote. Discounts are available on midweek stays and longer stays of 4 nights and over.
NOTES - One night stays are available midweek. Weekend one night stays may be available but will attract a surcharge.
Weekend Public Holiday bookings must a minimum 3 night stay at full weekend rate.
Easter, Christmas and New Year are a 3-4 night stay and charged at full weekend rate.
Concert weekends must be a minimum of 8 guests.

We could have stayed longer! The house was beautifully appointed and had everything we needed for a weekend away with friends. The big log fire was a highlight enjoyed by all. Our dogs and children loved it too. We look forward to returning.

A little 50th birthday getaway

This has to be one of the most cutest cottages we have ever stayed in. The fireplace was a big favourite of ours and we really liked being close to the all of the wineries but away from the busy part of wine country too. The nature and animals we saw in Broke were so cool and we will continue to reflect on the memories made here.

Broke Beauty

We absolutely loved staying at Bonn Abbey after having holidays cancelled many times throughout the Covid period. The house was perfect for two families to co-habit and enjoy lovely bbqs and dinners at home. We really appreciated all the effort that the host invested to make our stay so happy, safe and memorable. Very grateful and can highly recommend this property.

"We absolutely loved our weekend at Bonn Abbey. It's location is excellent to the vineyards, but far enough away to feel closer to the amazing farm lands with a never ending view of live stock. The beds were so comfortable and the eclectic style of the house provided a lovely relaxed environment for a beautiful weekend. The property was clean and had all of the essentials that made a weekend away packing so much easier, beautiful coffee, tea salt & pepper, foil, cling wrap etc. Huge thanks to the owners for all of the little extras that made it feel more like a resort than a stand alone. Many thanks to Katie who could not do enough to help."

Very cozy property that was a perfect place for a recent family getaway. Plenty of firewood for the open fire. Good bbq. Beds were very comfy! Our two dogs also had a great time running around the yard. Note though that the yard isn't secure for any dogs who may like to escape! There is a very small fenced area behind the garage to lock them up if necessary. Also, would be great to have a few staples in the pantry other than salt & pepper. Overall, the property was lovely, though

Bonn Abbey was the perfect spot for our extended family to catch up in the Hunter Super relaxing area, close enough to everything the Valley has to offer but quiet and secluded Brooke was wonderful to deal with and we felt incredibly spoilt. Thanks for a lovely stay

Loved the stay. The property is very comfortable and well connected with most key points of Hunter Valley. Everyone in the group wanted to stay for a few more days. Just a small suggestion to the manager that for a group of 8 adults and 4 kids, there should be more toilet rolls. Overall awesome experience, will book it again soon.
