This log cabin is located in the picturesque town of Alpine, AZ in the White Mountains of Arizona. It is in a meadow surrounded by mountains walking distance to the quaint town of Alpine. The town hosts multiple festivals throughout the year and has a grocery store, gas station, ice cream and candy shop, family style restaurants with evening music and adult spirits. There is family fun activities in the area including fishing, hiking, bike riding, off road riding, horseback riding, and wild life watching. The log cabin has a wrap around deck with scenic views. The large family/kitchen room has a large TV with Directv service, wood burning stove, 2 sofas with 1 that pulls out to a queen bed, foosball table, large dinning table and a fully stocked kitchen. The kitchen has a standard refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster oven, electric stove/oven, coffee maker and essential pots/pans/utensils and dishes. There is a sliding glass door with a large pet door as pets are allowed. The master bedroom has a queen bed with a TV and DVD player. The 2nd bedroom has bunk beds with the bottom being a double bed and a TV with DVD player. The bathroom has a shower/tub, toilet, large vanity and a closet with linen and large capacity washer/dryer. From the moment you step into the cabin you know you are on vacation.

Alpine cabin

Lovely place near a large open glade with bugling elk. Had everything we needed for our stay and would rent again.

Comfortable stay at 9,000 ft elevation

Rental was spotless Was looking for a rental with two real bedrooms. Most of the rentals in this area have a completely open main floor with a loft, perhaps. The open loft contains a bed. A second bed is provided in some corner area of the main floor. Some didn't even have taht and claimed a sleep-sofa as the second bed. Not what I wanted. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with more items tahn I would ever need. Bathroom was clean. Had a regular showerhead, not one those misters some rentals use to save on water. Had wifi. A little slow, but adequate to check email, news, and voice phone. The night temps dropped to around 40-deg. Did not use the provided heaters. Would be happy to rent for future visits

Amazing Mountain experience

Loved the cabin and the countryside. Went fishing and hiking at two of the surrounding lakes and visited a local chili cookoff. Fantastic scenery and Connie was a most gracious host. Would recommend this cabin to anyone seeking a peaceful vacation

Awesome for Families with Little Kids or Any Getaway!

This cabin is wonderful! Communication with the hosts beforehand was great. We didn’t need anything during the stay. They were clear to just call if we did, though. The location is walking distance to the Alpine town center, but you’d need a stroller or wagon if you have little kids. The owner let us know this during our pre-trip conversation. (She’s got the information provision down!) If you want something super remote, you’d have to go to the outskirts of town. We saw the neighbors a few times, but no one seemed bothered. The wrap-around deck was lovely, and the views were great. Parental note: the staircases on the deck have gates. Our kids are four and two. This made it easy for us to sit out there while the kids ran around without worrying (too much…) about escapism or tumbles down stairs. There were lots of wildflowers to pick in the backyard and a gorgeous fire pit. They also provide LOTS of towels and blankets, a fully stocked kitchen, and direct TV. It’s thoughtfully decorated and clearly a beloved spot for their family. Now, it’s a beloved one for ours, too! Thank you!

Wonderful stay

We’ve stayed multiple times at this cabin and always have a wonderful time. The cabin is clean and has everything you need for your stay. The view out to the meadow is beautiful. We even saw a large heard of elk out in the meadow a couple of days.

Everything you could want in a mountain cabin

The cabin is very well equipped. We did not use half of what was available in the kitchen. The wood burning stove was a nice touch and worked well. it was not that cold in Alpine when we were there but we loved watching the glow of the fire every evening. The cabin was large and could easily accommodate a family of five. We would definitely stay in Connie’s cozy cabin again.

A cabin in the alps

Every time we stay at this charming cabin…it feels like home. The views are stunning…lots of elk this year. I have traveled to many places… but I always want to come back here. The deck was amazing to see the stars…..just magic.

Beautiful Alpine Cabin

We love this place. It is perfect for where we like to hike and fish and typically much quieter than other places in the WM. The foosball table is a definite plus and we all love to play.

Nice cabin in a quiet neighborhood. Crazy heat wave while we were there, and no air conditioning, however it cools down quickly in the evening. We opened the windows as soon as it was cooler outside, left them open until it started warming up late the next morning, left the fans on. Very comfortable overnight in the cabin and chilly outside in the mornings. High Sat was 95, but 49 on Sunday morning. We had a pleasant stay. Thank you

Awful

Our stay was just awful. Of the four nights we booked, we only stayed one night. There is no cooling and sleeping at night was impossible. When I told Connie about the problem she thought the box fans would be adequate. Her family never had a problem because they are used to 110 degree heat in Tucson. She never offered any refund. There is no way for box fans to do anything more than blow hot air. She was very arrogant about not having cooling in the cabin. The kitchen was poorly stocked and the bathroom smelled like mold. The furniture was broken down a thrift store wouldn’t sell. The cabin is located on a dead end street that would remind you of slums in a large city. I don’t recommend ever staying in this hot cabin. Connie doesn’t know the meaning of customer service. She is just trying to make a quick buck!!!

Summer Mountain Trip

Convenient location & beautiful area to visit. The cabin has a spacious living room/dining room/kitchen, and nice porch. Unlike other vacation rentals, this one was very dusty and had dirty floors when we arrived, and the closets and drawers were full, so there was no where to unpack clothes. The bunk beds in the second room were not comfortable, and definitely not long enough for a person over 6' Overall, we were comfortable enough after we vacuumed and moved a few things out of drawers and closets. It was peaceful and beautiful weather while we were there.
