Easy 5-10 minute walk to ski lift #4, Williams Lake and Wheeler Peak trail heads, Taos Ski Valley Via Ferrata and Green Chile Mountain Biking and the Bavarian Restaurant.
Must have 4wd or AWD minimum in winter (Nov-April) to access condo.

Our visit to the Hiker's Studio in the Taos Ski Valley was a great trip - the space as expected is compact, and located well up the mountain at 10200 feet of elevation. Plan for a scenic but slow drive up from the base to the cottages, however once you're there the Bavarian Restaurant, Lift 4, and the skiing area are a short walk from the front door of the apartment. The kitchen and bathroom were well equipped, and there is in-room laundry equipment (bring your own soap) if your stay is longer than your packed clothing. This would be a good place to land if you are planning hikes to Wheeler Peak or other trails in the valley as well as during the snow season. We'll keep it bookmarked!
