Winter coastal retreat - Deep Cove: 2-Bedroom w/ sauna & cold plunge

Thank you for your feedback. We always appreciate hearing from guests and take cleanliness and guest comfort very seriously. For clarity for future guests, the listing is clearly described as a basement suite attached to our family home, which is reflected in both the title and description. We also note in the listing that we have young children in the home, so occasional household noise may be heard. Regarding the evening of your arrival, we had mentioned in advance that it was my husband’s birthday and that we would briefly have a few friends over before heading to a nearby restaurant. Our guests left early in the evening and our household is typically quiet by around 9 PM as our children are ages five and eight. The sauna and cold plunge are located just around the corner from the suite entrance and are available for guest use. Our welcome guide with WiFi details and house information is normally placed in the kitchen area, if it was misplaced, we are always happy to provide any information immediately if guests reach out during their stay, along with print a new one immediately. Our home is professionally cleaned between every stay, and if anything had been missed we would have been happy to address it right away had we been notified during the visit. In terms of temperature, the suite has individual heaters in the bedrooms and living space so guests can adjust comfort levels as needed. The home also has a full hot water system and the shower temperature is adjustable through the handle, though we are always happy to assist if anything needs clarification during a stay. We are grateful that the vast majority of our guests have had wonderful experiences in the suite and have left many five star reviews over the years. We always do our best to create a comfortable stay while being transparent that this is a family home environment. Thank you again for staying with us.

Hi Shianna, Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that parts of your stay didn’t meet your expectations. During your visit, I had messaged you to share we were hosting a family gathering for our son’s 5th birthday and an extended family brunch Easter weekend, which I did communicate to you. We made every effort to keep things quiet in the evenings, and all activities ended by 8pm. From what we understood, you were out for much of the day. Our listing also notes that we are a family home with young children, and guests may occasionally hear typical family sounds. We work hard to maintain a clean, comfortable space — which you kindly mentioned — and always aim to set clear expectations. We hope this helps future guests better understand the context of your stay.
