Totally disappointed

We arrived to a partially clean house. The living room sofa had stains on the cushions, both bathroom toilet tissue holders were broke, the wall paper in the upstairs master bedroom was pealing, the floor throughout the house was not vacuumed, and the kitchen shelves appeared to have food crumbs on them. I communicated this to the individual assigned to my stay and the response was simply: "We didn't have a chance to get maintenence and upholstery cleaners in before your checkin". On Saturday morning (10/19/24), my guests woke up to mouse in their bed (upstairs master), seriously crawling up their legs. I contacted the management company (Elolve) and filed a complaint. After their "investigation", the response was simply: "We will be unable to provide any refund for this inconvenience". I highly suggest anyone to use caution when renting this property and any properties managed by Elolve. We have of be we're not sure what to do at this point.

Owner's response: Kracunja, It is our mission to provide a 5-star experience for all our guests and, were surprised by your review after we had already discussed these issues. - Again we apologize for the stains on the couch and the broken toilet paper holder. When you messaged us we let you know that we tried to spot-clean the stains but were unable to get maintenance and the upholstery cleaners there before you check-in. We are sorry for the inconvenience but you thanked us and we thought you understood. Things like destructive guests do not make things easy on owners or their cleaning staff when we have a limited amount of time to turn the property over. - We take pride in our home and DO NOT have rodents on our property. We take measures to ensure this does not happen and we are pest-free. We did try to have an inspection done while you were there and you refused entry. So we did the inspection after you left and they found NO rodents. We are confident that future guests will have excellent stays! We will continue to deliver the 5-star experiences we know we can deliver.

Disappointed

First thing: The lock is weird but I learned what to do to make it work. After getting the Lock Screen to light up, you will see only one or two numbers. Keep pressing the keypad until the complete key pad lights up. Then it will allow you to put in the code. Two good things about this listing. It is a cute house that was probably built during The height of Goodyear production. Secondly, the comforters are the best! Erica from Evolve was also kind, communicative, and intelligent enough to listen. Now what is terrible 1. Local Evolve contact was a waste of a phone call and threatened me because she felt that “I didn’t respect her.” What!?!? I didn’t know she had accomplished so much that just the name Brittany should incite awe in me. 2. Not enough towels so everyone could have one but then I realized that they left some in the dryer. 3. No dish towels so we could do dishes. We had to purchase towels and dish cloths/tags. 4. No toaster. Listing said there was one. 5. Wall paper still peeling in upstairs bedroom. 6. No salt or other deicer for steps 7. Not conducive for anyone elderly but listing says it is. I’m 72 years old and would have broken my head if I didn’t have my kids looking after the steps. 8. The outside trash can was full of bags of leaves. Didn’t know where to put our trash. 9. No trash cans anywhere but kitchen. There are other listings in Akron with better amenities and easier entry.

After sharing your feedback with the homeowner, they wanted to share the following:- The lock’s operation can be tricky at first, so we’ll work on making instructions clearer for a smoother experience.- The home is equipped with a toaster and dish towels, but we’ll improve communication about their location to ensure they’re easier to find.- While de-icer is typically provided in winter, the sudden weather change caught us off guard. We delivered de-icer as soon as we were notified. The listing notes that the home has steps to access and is two stories, but we’ll reassess it to ensure accessibility expectations are clear.- Seasonal yard maintenance led to the outdoor bin being full. We’ll improve trash disposal instructions to avoid similar issues. Additionally, we will also review your feedback about the bedroom wallpaper to keep the home aligned with guest expectations.Thank you for your review, and we hope to host you again for a much-improved experience in the future!
