Our family of four really enjoyed our stay at Sue’s cottage. The outlook was outstanding and the Cottage itself is well stocked and very clean and comfortable

Judy,our host,greeted us at the door.Friendly and gracious she led us through our accommodation and we felt very much at home.Beautiful 2 bedroom home in a gorgeous garden setting.Unfortunately we were only staying overnight but it is close to a beautiful lake and bushland and it would have been nice to stay a couple of more days.I would wholeheartedly recommend Watershed to family and friends plus it's not too far from Hobbiton.Thank you Judy.

Stayed in this cottage and it did not disappoint! The scenic drive to the cottage was wonderful, rolling hills and very peaceful. Sarah, the owner was in contact and made getting there and into the property super easy. The The drive into the gated property with its tree canopy was beautiful. The cottage was gorgeous, with little momentos of Hobbiton which is the reason we stayed in Matamata, for the Hobbiton Tour and Beer Fest. The breakfast supplied was fantastic, we picked up some smoky bacon to enjoy with fresh eggs and toast. The bed was sublimely comfortable and the backyard was bathed in sun in the Morning. Would absolutely stay here again but this time for a few days longer to really enjoy the cottage and its facilities, and the peacefulness of its location.

If you want to try something different then the usual box, bed and window, this is it. Our family of 5 are sure glad it was on our list as it was a stay to remember. The Host is as good as they get, polite, helpful, friendly and welcoming and even had some supplies to make a pretty good breakfast in the morning. The bus is equipped with everything needed including bathroom facilities and a fully utensiled kitchen. Beds were comfy and clean. If you've got spare time there's a great quiet spot to chill down near the river.

The property was clean, modern and very peaceful. We would gladly stay again.😀

Was wonderful to walk in and see such a well presented place, for such a great price. The hosts were extremely accommodating especially with amenities and even snacks Such a thing you wont get without an extra invoice in the city!). Property had a spacious Alfresco area and a large garden area to wander around. Parking was immediately next to the building. Superb Kitchenette and Bathroom area. Modern Amenities with large screen TV and Good WiFi. The location was fantastic only 3km's from the main city and essentials shopping, a few km's further to Hamilton CBD and there were some nice restaurants nearby. Very handy location, we were on our way back to Auckland from Mangakino (Lake Maraetai) in the lower Waikato. This gave us a wonderful chance to rest without the hectic pace of your typical city, and the quality was significantly better than our 4-star (supposedly) stay at Mercure Apts in Wellington. Highly recommend staying here. and would stay again
