This property was in a perfect location to allow us to explore Paris for the first time. It is a small, rustic studio apartment, but in a secure building. We felt safe and comfortable during our stay and the host was welcoming and responsive. We were on an extended trip and had heavy suitcases, which were tricky to manoeuvre up four flights of stairs, as there was no elevator. Overall we had a great stay!
We had a great time in this convenient studio. We were met by the owner who even helped with our luggage. There are quite a few stairs so anyone who has issues with that should find an alternative. We are in our mid 60s and we found it fine! The street is one of the most beautiful street scapes in Paris and very quiet. There is a great shower, comfortable beds and good internet. The studio is small and not luxury but full of history, quirky and perfectly comfortable for a couple. We like to self cater and the kitchen fascilities were adequate. The Marais district is wonderful.
Clean, simple and located centrally to a lot of good restaurants. The check in process and orientation of the studio was quick and communication with the owners was excellent through the booking process. The studio is exactly how it was advertised which is comforting. It is the perfect spot for solo travellers and backpackers as there are four flights of stairs; so a reasonable level of fitness is needed.
Perfect for a couple close to major attractions in busy area - very quiet street and apartment - sleeping till midday. Seine is 5 minutes walk & sitting on edge great for socialising with your own bottle of wine late afternoon evening in summer. Metro, Bakery & supermarket just around the corner. Comfy beds great hot shower and helpful host. Well lit & Very secure. We’ll be back. 98 steps upstairs so small bags and cases are best.
This studio was great for my dad and I to stay. Definitely true to size as shown in the photos, and the stairs up are not for the faint of heart (or those with bad knees!). The space was clean and comfortable for what it was, and the metro was less than 10 minutes away which was great.

My wife and I grew up in Paris. I was born in this District.We have travelled for several years with my job, El Cairo (Egypt), (3 years), then, 3 years, Washington D.C and a few others countries and we are come back to France. Now, my wife lives with my two sons in Spain and me, i work in Paris, every night, i m policeman, and the journey, i can be with my guests. As my wife is spanish, it was an opportunity for the sons to discover a different lifestyle.I built this apartment as i would like to be but with the character of this District, wood-original floor-it was important to restore it in this historical District, Le Marais-
Why they chose this property
I grew up in this area, i know it perfectly, it changed so quickly, before it was like a village, it s the downtown with these old buildings and the parisians appreciate it so much and each week end, they come to walk on these small streets to feel the past, the authenticity of Paris;
