Christmas Trip

We ended a two week Christmas market trip with a 5 day stay in Paris at this location. It was in a great area and was just right for the two of us. Paul was very helpful meeting us on location for check in and gave us a quick tour. We would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyable stay

Pros: It was clean and comfortable, especially the mattress. Location is convenient to many things. Had everything we needed. Check-in, check-out process was easy. Cons:The bar across the street is loud until the early morning hours. At one point the water was shut off and I messaged the host but he never replied. Fortunately, it was back on by the morning, but that was very concerning.

Fabulous location

We loved the location as it is so easy to get to the subway or walk to town . The facilities were good and the bed ok although it may get pretty hot in the summer . No TV .A couple of flights of stairs but well lit .The place was getting fixed on the outside so it was covered in scaffolding and mesh so no view . Big of a shame but the rest made up for it . Good value for money .

The perfect location in Le Marais!

We had a fantastic week in Paris, largely due to the convenient location of this adorable flat. Can't say enough good things about Paul - excellent communicator, gracious and readily available! We would love to stay here again!

Perfect stay in Paris!

This was a wonderful place to stay. The flat is in a great location and close to subway stations, with countless food and drink options. The place is cozy. No A/C but my partner and I found the fan to be enough even in the middle of June. The flat is stocked with everything we needed. Paul was a great host. I would love to stay here again!

A lot of holiday home in a small space

From here we we able to walk to the Pantheon, Eiffel Tower, or Montmartre with no issues, but there are probably more central options. It's close to good food, to Notre Dame and is as close to 5 stars as it could be. While my first impression was that the space was smaller than the photos make it look, that just makes me impressed with Paul's photography skills. The apartment had everything we needed and was a great base for our four nights in Paris. Paul was a great host, meeting us there to get us settled. Excellent communication too. Would happily recommend this spot for your stay.

Cozy and convenient!

Conveniently located to public transportation, some major attractions, shops, and restaurants. Apartment was clean and well-equipped with everything required. The host, Paul, was kind and responsive to my messages. Would stay again! Something to be aware of: city sounds early in the morning and late at night are prevelent as you're in the heart of the city. Walls are thin and you can hear next-door neighbors. As someone who also grew up in a large city with lots of noise, this was not an issue.

Perfectly placed apartment

Paul's apartment was perfect for our stay in Paris. It is in a wonderful location, just 15 minutes' walk from The Louvre, 10 mins from Notre Dame and within easy reach of Metro stations to get your where ever you would like to go. The apartment is in the Marais district which is a vibrant area with plenty of restaurants and stores. The aprtment was clean and very neat. The stairs up to the bed are a little precarious, but we managed fine. There is all you will need provided, although we actually spent very little time actually in the apartment other than to shower and sleep. Paul was very accomodating and met us at the apartment to show us around. Some comments do mention the bar across the street, and yes, it is a very busy bar, even on cold November evenings, however the apartment has new double glazed windows so you can't here it too much. Overall, a great place to stay whilst in Paris, will certainly be back again.

Lovely stay

Amazing location in the gay area, super easy to get anywhere and some great bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Bar right outside open till late but did not cause any problems. Noisy next door neighbour but was not too loud too late. Small but comfortable space, bed very comfy. Stairs a little precarious! Was very warm with heater on (we stayed in winter so this was good). One of the small lights wasn't working which did make it a little dark. Overall place clean but a little worn out.

Fantastic location

Great location in the Marais; restaurants, shops, Seine all moments away. Next door to Starbucks. Christel was an excellent host, her flat very clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our week in Paris. Well-appointed kitchen for easy breakfasts with a lovely selection of coffee and teas, boulangerie across the street has great croissants and pastries. Safe area for walking at night. This is a nicely remodeled flat in an old building. One flight of stairs to climb to unit and steep stairs up to loft bed but that was fine for us, would not recommend for someone with mobility limitations. WiFi was ok not great. We were very happy with the rental.

Visit to Paris

We absolutely loved staying at this apartment. There were three of us. It was extremely clean and the host and her friend were extremely helpful. We were walking distance to the Louve and Notre-Dame. There is a hop on hop off boat not far from the apartment on the way to Notre-Dame which was perfect for exploring even more of the city for cheap. They give out maps to show you the different stops. At night we used the fan and it kept the place cool and helped drown out any noise from outside. There is a bar across the street but they seem to be so good about noise as they turn the music down by about 11pm. It never disturbed us. So close to so many great restaurants as well as a grocery store up the block, Very pleased with our stay and would go back again.

Great small apartment. Excellent location!

Location, location, location!! Great apartment, perfect location. Paris Visitors' Office is right across the street as is a Metro station. Lots of stores, a boulangerie, and restaurants in the immediate area. The apartment is on the 1st floor, an easy flight of stairs above the ground floor (a/k/a RDC/rez de chaussé). The keys and magnetic key FOB allow easy entry and exit to the building and the apartment which are both very safe and secure. The apartment is compact (a/k/a small), but everything in the apartment works perfectly: hot shower with good water pressure, clothes washer, cold refrigerator, microwave, electric coffee maker and kettle, good WiFi/internet and cable TV. The bed is a bit firm (if you are used to a soft bed). The windows open easily and provide a nice cross- ventilation breeze. One thing to be aware of: there is a rather loud bar just opposite the main window that is very popular and busy almost every night, so the noise can be irritating. But of course, you are in the heart of a busy major European capitol city, n'est-ce pas?🤷🏻‍♂️ (The noise issue was easily resolved with ear plugs and/or noise-cancelling headphones [which I had thanks to screaming-baby transatlantic flights].) When the weather is warm, I suggest placing the large fan on the apartment's floor below the bed and aiming it upward. If placed on the bed platform, it creates a vibration one feels/hears while trying to sleep. Paul is an excellent host who greeted me when I arrived and who speaks excellent English. He answers messages quickly and is a pleasure to deal with! 👍🏻 I certainly recommend this VRBO apartment - quite comfortable and the location cannot be better! 👍🏻

Das kleine Apartment (25 m²) liegt sehr zentral wenige Gehminuten vom Hôtel de Ville entfernt am Rand des Marais. Die Lage ist nicht sehr ruhig, da hier auch abends noch eine Menge los ist. Es gibt eine Menge Lokale und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der direkten Umgebung. Auch die Metro-Anbindung ist hervorragend. Das Apartment ist gut ausgestattet (kleine Küche, in der man aber problemlos eine Mahlzeit zubereiten kann) und entspricht voll und ganz der Beschreibung und den Fotos. Es ist nicht barrierefrei und daher Personen mit körperlichen Einschränkungen nicht zu empfehlen.

We were really pleased. But do be ready for the apartment as described — you need to be game for the ladder to the small comfy loft bed area. And probably bring earplugs if you don’t enjoy all night bar chatter from across the way. We didn’t mind it, made us feel vicariously young —but be ready for a lotta nighttime noise. The host was super accommodating to our specific request to drop off luggage early and responsive to questions. We loved it.

Superb location right in the centre of the city. I walked everywhere and got a real feel for the layout. Planned mornings north of the river, afternoons south nipping back to the appartment for a rest in between.
