Fly into Kalispell, MT or Great Falls, MT for similar drive times to spectacular East Glacier Park. From here, visit Essex, Two Medicine, Many Glacier, St. Mary and various in park trails within short travel times.

Stay in comfort at this splendid home and share the wonders of the Crown of the Continent while retaining the option to be connected to the 'real world' through WIFI internet and smart TV streaming ability. Charge your EV with the Nema 15-40 outlet (bring your own adapter). Share in the pride of sitting atop high peeks, relaxing beside a cool mountain lake, float down a white water river or engage in the culture of the local Blackfeet People native to this area. East Glacier Park is centered around the spirit of the Rocky Mountain front, the natural wonders offered by Glacier National Park, and around the people who came before us.
The town of East Glacier is the most convenient location for visiting all of the park. We are proud to have our own remote entrance only 10 minutes away, (Two Medicine), as well as either end of Going to the Sun Road within an hour, making us the perfect place for "the loop".
This is a great home centrally located in the small, quaint town of East Glacier Park, Montana. The view of the Rocky Mountain front from the living room and dining area is one that never seizes to impress. The kitchen is fully functional with all utilities, open and bright, including a dining table and plenty of counter space. The living room is furnished with plenty of seating and has a vaulted ceiling making it open and spacious with satellite television, and WiFi connection throughout the house.

There are three bedrooms in the house. The master bedroom features a queen sized dark wood sleigh bed, matching dresser and bedside tables and a private, two sink bathroom. The second bedroom is furnished with a king sized bed, dresser, side tables and finally, a twin over full bunk bed in the third bedroom. If needed there is a blow up queen mattress and a pack and play for tots. For the more adventurous, there is even a futon on the front porch. Clean fresh air makes for fantastic sleep.

The porch off the front door is perfect for watching the sun set behind some of East Glacier's most famous peaks including Dancing Lady, CalfRobe, Mt. Henry and Summit peak. The yard is surrounded with privacy fencing and landscaped with beautiful perennials, bulbs and grass.
Newly added is a gravel b.b.q. patio with a picnic table and gas grill perfect for an evening of chatter while taking in the breath-taking splendor of the Rocky Mountain Front or star gazing at the obvious milky way in the remote dark sky. Come enjoy what can only be experienced first hand.

Great location , spacious and comfy
First, this house was in a great spot. Its about mid way between the esat and west entrances to the park and since we wanted to explore the whole area we could easily head out in different directions. There was plenty of seating in the house, the kitchen was fairly well equipped. The town itself is tiny…a couple of shops, a general store type place, and a couple of restaurants. Nothing fancy, not lots of variety, but all the basics.

Older but clean
Property was in a poorer area. The house was clean and well kept inside. The yard was in need of work. Most items ,we needed ,were available but mirrors and more waste baskets would have been nice. We could have used a griddle. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Great Location for East Glacier
We used this as our base of operations for exploring the east side of the park (Two Medicine, St. Mary, Many Glacier). The house was great. Everything was clean and comfortable. The house was about three blocks back from the main road and train tracks, so it was nice and quiet. We were within walking distance of most of the restaurants in town and had great meals for breakfast and dinner. We could have walked to the Lodge as well, but crowds were down, so we drove. The little market in town was pretty well stocked, so we could pick up stuff for lunch and snacking in the evening. We were able to get to Two Medicine and Many Glacier for day trips with little to no traffic. We also got to Logan Pass for a day trip. In talking to people at the Pass we made it in less time than many coming from the valley on the West Side. The internet was pretty good for the first day or two, but was slower for the rest of our stay. This is not a complaint as we were not here for the internet, but just make sure you have hard copies of any park passes or reservations, so you don't cause yourself any stress. We found much more to explore on the east side than the west side and if we come back we would definitely set up operations here again.

Great experience
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in East Glacier. The house was accurately described in the listing. We found it very convenient to hiking in Two Medicine, St Mary & Many Glacier. Wendy was easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again.

About the host

I was raised in North Idaho and have lived most of my adult life in Montana. I am an educator of mathematics, physics, English as a second language and most recently a downhill ski instructor. That is until recently when I fell in love with a fisherman. His name, or at least what his friends call him, is Smiles and he is as friendly as I am. So, do please, feel free to contact me for inquiries about rental and about the Glacier Park area.

Why they chose this property

I chose to buy this home while working in the area as a middle school math teacher. The house was not purchased as a rental, but for my own home. While working in the local school district I recognized that people would really enjoy spending time in a comfortable place while on vacation in Glacier National Park. So, I began renting the house on VRBO, living in the back during the summer months. Renting my house to adventurous travelers has allowed me to share the spectacular experience of visiting Glacier National Park.

What makes this property unique

This house and the view from its windows are unique even in the town of East Glacier. The mountain views and fresh air are unmatched outside of the Rocky Mountains and the slower pace to living is beneficial for the soul. Yet, there are so many activities to keep one busy that one is never bored. It is the perfect location for outdoor entertainment and exercise with a slower style of life and always something beautiful to see.
