About this property

East Side of Glacier Park is our back yard!! Have a look.

Thanks for looking at Railroad Creek Lodging's H4 House while planning your trip to Glacier. The H4 House is available June 1 through September.

The H4 House features three bedrooms upstairs. One has a queen bed and a single, while the Master Bedroom has a queen bed. Adjacent to the Master Bedroom and separated by a curtained doorway, is a small bedroom with another queen bed. Our fourth bedroom is downstairs and has a queen bed. All of the bedrooms have great views that provide a peaceful end to your day and brighten the start of the next one. Upstairs you will find a full bath with laundry facilities while the downstairs has a bathroom with shower and sauna.

Sit in the cedar and brick living room with your morning coffee and view Lubeck Ridge, Calf Robe Mountain, Firebrand Pass and the occasional deer, moose, coyotes, elk and bear that make the area their home. Expansive south and west facing windows give incredible views that make our part of the state such a special place. A fully equipped kitchen lets you plan meals at home or dine out at one of the local restaurants. Everything down to the salt and pepper shakers is here for you, but if you have a special request, let us know and we'll work on it.

The deck on the west and north sides of the house offers great views and deck chairs are there for your comfort. A gas barbecue and picnic table are also located on the deck for your cooking and outdoor dining use.

Hiking is available as close as the back door, with many other opportunities in the area. Two Medicine Lake area provides numerous hiking trails and a tour boat operates on the lake also. Firebrand Pass is just up the road and is a great hike.

We are located three miles west of East Glacier on Highway 2. Close enough to town, but removed enough to let you see sunsets, stars, northern lights and nature at its best just outside the door. Fluctuating temperatures, windy weather and long daylight hours are part of summer here in East Glacier, so be prepared for whatever Mother Nature has to offer during your stay.

We loved our stay at Chuck and Vicki’s place. Very cool house with everything we needed. Our hosts were lovely and made us delicious brownies as a welcome gift. It’s in a beautiful area and close to the park. Highly recommend staying here!

This is just a lovely home with a good size living room and well-equipped kitchen. We felt very welcomed by Chuck and Vicki. Chuck showed us how to use bear spray and Vickie brought yummy brownies over. We would definitely recommend this booking, beautiful home!

Chuck and Vicki are excellent hosts. The bear spray and usage lesson from Chuck were greatly appreciated! But Vicki’s homemade brownies were also very much appreciated. Glacier National Park is truly a treasure.

We had an excellent time at this property! Owners, Chuck and Vicki, were fantastic hosts who were wonderful to work with at all stages of our trip and even more wonderful people to meet! Everything was very clean, the house was well stocked with all the necessities, beds were comfortable. George the neighbor outdoor cat was an unexpected pleasure greeting us every day. The property is close to all the East Glacier activities. We would definitely stay at this property again and highly recommend it to anyone looking to get away from it all.

We enjoyed our stay here immensely. The view was beautiful and it was wonderful waking up to the mountains & wildflowers right outside the windows. The house was well stocked (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen) with everything we needed, and the hosts were very responsive if/when necessary. We didn't want to leave. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was very clean and well organized with basic kitchen staples for cooking. There was even bear spray, which was appreciated. The beds and furniture were comfy. The location was peaceful and scenic. We appreciated the info that Chuck shared with us on check-in day and enjoyed meeting him and Vickie. We would highly recommend their place if you are planning a visit to the east side of Glacier Park.

Amazing waking up to the mtn views. Wishing the bedroom blinds would have gone down all the way especially when the lodge was right there across from our rental only closed half ways. Very family friendly very very clean FULLY stocked. We requested an air fryer and they supplied one for us. We would definitely stay there again. They gave us alot of ahead info in the area.

This was a marvelous home base for our family's visit to Glacier National Park. The east side of the park, including this property, is beautiful and the stars in the night sky are amazing. Chuck and Vicki are thoughtful and the home is comfortable and well stocked. We hope to stay here again.

East Glacier Getaway

We loved our stay! The house was perfect sized and well kept. Chuck and Vicki were very hospitable. We were so close to the national park and were very thankful for the bear spray and bug spray that was provided. The hosts were very knowledgeable of the area and had great recommendations. Highly recommend this place!

Hi, we're Chuck & Vicki Holbrook. We lived in East Glacier for 21 years before moving to Whitefish Montana in 1999. We have both retired from our jobs and moved back to our home in East Glacier. We live in our house in the winter and offer it to visitors to Glacier in the summer. We are eager to be part of your plans to visit Glacier Park. We are pleased to offer our guests a quiet well equipped house outside of town to relax in at the end of a day exploring Glacier Country. We like living in the country and being able to enjoy life without the distractions of town. Our house is very close to nature and lets you experience it at whatever level you wish.

What makes this property unique

We designed the house to be energy efficient in both winter and summer and to also have great views out all of our windows. We experience all the many weather types and wildlife that make this such a unique place to live. Our view is essentially unchanged over the last 30 years and we love being out here in such a natural setting.
