The apartment overlooking the Duomo was perfect

Around 4km from village of San Gimignano so you need a car. Villa looks old but is actually quite new so all bedrooms have spacious well functioning ensuites unlike some centuries old villas. Great place for a large group (we had 8 adults) with 12 others who came for a party in the postcard gardens by the pool. Be aware that certain basics are not sufficient for this number over a week and you will need toilet paper wash cloths paper towels etc. The accom is up a wide attractive flight of stairs on level 1. We did not have a concern with the stairs. Host Barbara is delightful. Provided fresh eggs from her chickens. Helped with getting a taxi to snd from SG. We used this frequently so we could all enjoy a drink. It cost 40 per one way trip which is ok when shared. Sometimes it can be difficult to get a taxi so we booked each return trip as we left tge last. Sonia, tge driver was brilliant. Barbara also cooked us one hot and cold breakfast for 15 pp which was delicious. Loved our stay at Podere Lo Spadino

We are a family of 5 (2 Adults, 3 Teenagers) and stayed 4 nights in Sonia’s apartment. What a wonderful experience! Sonia was there at checkin and went through all the things to do with the apartment in great detail. She also recommended many great local restaurants and things to do around Florence.The apartment itself was very clean and configured to 3 bedrooms and the 2nd bathroom made the stay very comfortable for our family of 5. The outdoor courtyard is also available, but we didn’t use it much as it was winter and cold.The apartment is very quiet and the location is close enough to walk easily into town and all the main attractions. The bus is also just outside the apartment.Overall, a great place to stay in a quiet neighbourhood and would definitely stay again when in Florence. Thank you Sonia for your hospitality!

Beautiful. We had 7 wonderful days at La Porticciola. Alessandro the host was very approachable and even arranged for a cook to come in for 2 nights. Imagine sitting on the terrace having a wonderful meal below the lights of San Gimignano. Magical

This is one of those conflicted reviews. I’d like to keep Le Bagnaie secret so we can book in future but I can’t resist posting about the experience. I can’t fault anything about the stay. The check in instructions were easy, property is well appointed and spotless, spectacular views, great pool and beautiful district. We drove around the surrounding towns and wineries. The meal from Serena was a real highlight. We didn’t want to leave

This apartment is in the perfect location. Walking distance to the centre. Very clean, beautiful apartment and the hosts were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again!

My family, including my parents and children, spent the most wonderful week at this beautiful property! The house and private outdoor terrace is huge, with lots of different spaces to spend eating and drinking and relaxing. The pool was incredible - the kids loved the diving board and making friends with other children who were also staying in the hamlet. It was the perfect house for us to spend a week relaxing in Tuscany!
