About this property
Luxury converted barn with hilltop views in chianti wine region, Tuscany
The Barn at Bagnaie is a luxury 3-bedroom Tuscan villa, which we have modernised and furnished to a high standard.
The interior mixes traditional materials with Italian modern design. The large living room features an open log fireplace, original terracotta tiles and wooden doors leading out onto the south terrace and gardens. There is a separate kitchen/dining area fitted with marble worktops and equiped with all the utensils a serious food lover needs to be able to enjoy local market produce and Le Bagnaie's kitchen garden. There are also double doors from the kitchen leading out to the terrace and the vine-covered pergola.
Upstairs there are 3 double bedrooms which all have their own private ensuite bathrooms. These have all been fitted with Italian marble tiles and powerful rain head showers. All the bedrooms have wonderful views out over the beautiful hills and vines surrounding the house.
The villa's private landscaped garden - rich with cherry, pomegranate and fig trees and with a built-in BBQ - surrounds the property and enjoys 360-degree views of the countryside, including the distant Duomo of Siena to the south and the towers of San Gimignano to the west.
Our villa sits in the small hamlet of Bagnaie, where we share our hilltop with 7 other houses. We have a full time gardener who maintains the extensive gardens and grounds as well as the shared 20m pool, which is solar heated. There is also a tennis court can be used all year round and a boules pitch. We have a swing and play area for kids on the site.
Well behaved pets are welcome.
We have a local property manager (English and Italian speaking) who will be available during your stay to assist you where necessary.
We can arrange for our local cook, Serena to come and make you an authentic home cooked meal at the house. She will cook using local and seasonal produce, often from our kitchen garden or her own garden from the nearby village. She will conjure up a 4-5 course meal for you while you can sit on the terrace and watch the sun set or enjoy a candle lit meal under the stars. She will serve you dinner and do all the washing up as well!

Why they chose this property
My parents bought this house as a family holiday home and it is still used by my family and my sister. When we are not there we like others to enjoy its amazing surroundings.
