Holiday rentals near Medici Chapels

Lucia’s house was the perfect place to discover Florence, close to station and good restaurants. There was a bit of noise from local workers at night but not too bad. Apartment was spotless and everything in working order. Would stay again, thanks Lucia!

Great location. Relatively quiet considering on a busy street. Host responsive. Great check in. Only problem was it wasn’t very suited to anyone with a suitcase. A few floors of narrow stairs to manoeuvre in wasn’t fun.

My friend and I loved staying in Gaia’s apartment, it is so close to everything and communication with her was easy and prompt. The apartment is well equipped and has everything you need, the only downside was as ladies in their 60’s and 70’s the beds are a bit too firm particularly the one upstairs , other than that I would highly recommend Gaia’s apartment

Valaria and Stefania were the perfect hosts. Valeria personally met with us at the apartment and showed us where everything was. With a happy personality she made us feel welcome straight away. By the time she left the apartment we felt like we had known her for years. What a great start to our time in Florence. The apartment was perfect with everything you need. Comfortable bed, air con, double glazed windows at the front and a washing machine just to top it off made our stay most enjoyable. The markets are close by and there’s a choice of three supermarkets just down the road. Where in our 60,s and had no trouble walking the short distance to the apartment from the train station. There’s a small set of stairs to the apartment on the first floor and again these were not a problem. If you want to cook yourself a nice steak, simply walk across the road in the morning and visit the butchers at the market. Alternatively there’s plenty of restaurants providing steak, pasta and vegetarian dishes. Florence is very easy to get around by foot or there’s buses and trams as there’s no metro lines. We would highly recommend this apartment and the beautiful hosts that greet you on arrival are second to none. Very clean and spacious apartment in a superb location. Veronica kept in contact throughout our stay and the check in was easy to navigate.

I have stayed in Florence several times previously and always at a hotel. This time, thought we would try an apartment. Great choice. Pier is a great host and from the very beginning, communicates very proactively. Every question was answered in lightening speed. The apartment is large and well appointed. Separate bedroom, Lounge/Kitchen combined, timber floors, modern bathroom. Pier met us as soon as we stepped out of the taxi and helped us up with our luggage. He then spent time explaining every aspect of the apartment, WiFi, appliances, lightening, etc. The apartment is fantastically located, a short walk from anything, just down the street from the train station, about 10 minutes to the Duomo, from there, everything is 5 - 10 minutes. In the immediate area are a host of restaurants. There is a supermarket right next door. Compared to a hotel, it is about 25% of of the cost and twice the size of the room. It is so nice to have access to basic cooking and clothes washing facilities. I would highly recommend this apartment to visitors to Florence.

Our second stay in this apartment was as enjoyable as our first. The apartment has brilliant views of Saint Maria Novella church and is ideally positioned to walk to all the major sights of Florence. It is the extraordinary hospitality of Chiara and her father Sergio that made our stay especially enjoyable. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed to feel at home, particularly the thoughtful extras such as the delicious biscuits and sweets left for us. The lift to the second floor is very useful to anyone who is travelling with big suitcases. With several very warm days we appreciated the air conditioning in the main room and also the bedroom. While the apartment overlooks the main piazza it is very quiet at night and the double glazing works wonderfully. The bed is very comfortable and there is plenty of storage for clothes etc. We are already planning a return visit.
