The apartment overlooking the Duomo was perfect

My friend and I loved staying in Gaia’s apartment, it is so close to everything and communication with her was easy and prompt. The apartment is well equipped and has everything you need, the only downside was as ladies in their 60’s and 70’s the beds are a bit too firm particularly the one upstairs , other than that I would highly recommend Gaia’s apartment

Homely and well equipped, this was a very central location and the host very attentive whenever we needed her input beforehand.

Firstly you need to know that there are a lot of stairs to this apartment BUT you are in Florence in a prime location in an amazing apartment so to us the stairs were worth it! Emiliano met us at the apartment and very kindly helped us with our bags, he was so lovely and showed us around the apartment and the rooftop terrace. The apartment has stairs internally also so may not be suitable for young children or the elderly but we (in our 40’s with a teenager) loved the separated bedrooms and bathrooms. The rooftop terrace provided the perfect spot each evening to enjoy a drink and watch the skyline colours change over the rooftops of Florence. We appreciated the washing machine and strong air conditioning and the bedding was comfortable and adequate. Whilst we didn’t use the kitchen it was well equiped with everything you could need including a dishwasher and coffee machine. The apartment was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Located close to all the famous landmarks, we would not hesitate to recommend Emiliano and this property to anyone. Thanks Emiliano, we will be back next time we are in Florence!

Our plan was to secure a well located and comfortable flat (apartment) in Florence and live there for three weeks. Unpack, settle in and come and go as we would if we lived there. This worked so well and we were delighted with our stay. In fact the flat was a highlight of the trip. So well located, stunning views of the Ponte Vecchio and the constant movement of happenings on the Arno River. As a family closely associated with the sport of rowing we were delighted in seeing so much activity with the rowing club opposite. The flat was perfectly arranged and all facilities were available . Comfortable, and tastefully furnished. The kitchenette was quite adequate and well provided with implements. The large double bed was superbly comfortable. We were hosted graciously, welcomed, and made to feel that assistance was always available. A lovely flat, superbly located with access to the old part of Florence. Restaurants close at hand as are the antiquities of the city.

This is a special apartment directly overlooking the Arno at the Ponte Vecchio. We loved to sit and watch the sunset over the buildings and bridges from the large picture window. This is hands down our most favourite area to stay; right in the action yet without any street noise except the distant pleasant chiming of the Basiica bells. Every comfort available for a short or long stay, from a welcome and not-to-common lift to a well equiped kitchenette, including generously supplied paper towels and coffee, tea and condiments for cooking. All spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and a washing machine! Marusca and Alberto were very communicative to queries and so welcoming, kind and knowledgeable for all the nuances of Florentine culture. Suggestions of awesome restaurants and where to get the best groceries was fantastic info and made us feel like locals. We can’t wait to stay again. Needless to say we loved it.
