Not sure why it wasn't working for you. We also checked the lock and no issues. We will reach out to you before your next visit to make sure we have addressed all of your concerns.

Thanks for the review, Arianna…although folks would get more from it if you were forthright about the entire episode. Your long-term reservation was substantially different than the others we typically host in that we didn't know from week to week whether you were be able to round up the funds to stay or not. Our standard long-term reservations lock in for a specific period of time so there is never really a question of whether they are leaving or staying. When we show up to do things like change filters, our typical guests answer the door and if they aren’t home, the safety latch isn’t engaged, allowing us to complete our tasks. When there is a goof-up on departure days, guests typically answer the door for the housekeeper and inform them of the mistake and/or immediately phone our office. In your case, you did neither, which garnered my call/message indicating that if I didn’t hear from you OR if you didn’t vacate the unit we would have to enlist local law enforcement to help remove you. This wasn’t a threat. This was provided as a courtesy to you because all the available evidence at the time indicated that you shouldn’t be in the unit at that time (a confusion brought about by waiting to see if you would have the additional funds to stay the next few nights or not). I’ve found informing guests of these next steps helps generate a fast response – as it did with you. Even setting all that aside, I guess the two questions are – why did your previous review say the exact opposite and if things were so bad, why did you continue to extend your stay with us?

Hello you for the feedback. I am very troubled to learn of the conditions you describe with the unit and even more troubled that we are learning about them 2+ weeks after your departure. We take great pride in our housekeeping process and regret that your experience wasn't a positive one. I note from your review that you were "disappointed with the cleanliness when you arrived." I also note that we reached out to you on your arrival day asking specifically for feedback about the unit upon your arrival (as we do with most of our reservations). It does not look like we received the courtesy of a reply. This isn't it is uncommon to not receive a reply to our arrival day correspondence and then get a review like the one you've provided. That aside, I will discuss these circumstances with the housekeeping team responsible for the cleaning process prior to your arrival. Once again, I am very sorry for the conditions you described and appreciate your feedback.
