Is there anything they haven't thought of? We doubt it.
A great place to stay and a great town. If only all our accommodation experiences had been this good. Thank you so much Kate and Peter.

Quaint quirky and cozy
A special stay away for us over the new year without kids ( a first for over 20 years ). First time Whitby visitors also with limited knowledge of this wonderful coast. The cottage lived up to its description and was perfect for us, compact but with clever touches so if 4 occupants would work fine ( only two of us on this stay). Stairs not an issue for us but anyone with mobility issues would struggle. Car parking was near impossible BUT probably one of busiest weekends in the year and we did manage to park up and then just left car for remains of weekend. Arriving in the dark and pouring rain wasn’t made easy by absence of parking but as suggested hazards on and just unloaded baggage and scooted off. For winter stays the central heating was perfect and controllable. Hosts were communicative, we didn’t have cause to speak once arrived but there seemed to be direct contact details. Also the cottage had a good ‘user manual’ with details on the cottage and local area. All in all a really lovely stay love Whitby and sun came out to allow a wonderful if muddy coastal walk to Robin Hood bay incl bus journey back which was perfect. Thanks to our hosts and no reservation in recommending to friends and family, well done.

Very near to centre of town. 24 hour carpark at fleet pub. Beds comfortable. Lots of towels provided. I would recommend this cottage to everyone. I would love to stay here again.

Married to Peter, we own an 12 year old Westie called Connie

Why they chose this property

We chose this delightful cottage because we enjoy spending time on the coast, particularly in Whitby. There are spectacular views from the attic of the swing bridge and the Esk River bridge, with the moors beyond, hence the name. It is ideally situated on the East side of the river with great access to all that the town has to offer.

What makes this property unique

The views of the swing bridge and the West cliff beyond
