Villa Douze

Great place with everything you could wish from a holiday. The pool was an added bonus for adults and children. I would definitely recommend.

Sejour a la villa la douze

Très bon accueil de la part de la propriétaire. Bien très bien équipé. Spacieux et convivial. Piscine chauffée et très bien entretenue. Rien à dire si ce n'est que tout est au top. Nous recommandons.

Uitstekende vakantie

Het waren twee mooie weken. De accommodatie was perfect. Waren met 9 personen. Omgeving is heel mooi. Volop winkels binnen 20 minuten met de auto.

Amazing ! Fabuleux

Notre séjour à la Villa La Douze à été merveilleux. Laura est une hôte très attentionnée et disponible, la maison est sublime et le cadre magnifique. Nous avons pu y fêter l'enterrement de vie de garçon d'un ami qui lui aussi à été ravi. Nous recommandons chaleureusement Laura et la Villa La Douze !

Perfection

Villa Douze is perfect, from the minute we got there to the minute we left for home we found everything brilliant. The villa has an enchanting character that adds to the holiday, wonderfully laid out with everything you need to get away from it all. The silence when sitting out on the patio is deafening, only the sound of owls hooting to break the silence. The pool is clean with good access, and plenty deep enough! The garden is wonderful, so much room, the forest is huge and defiantly worth exploring. Would we return? 100% yes, we’re already planning when to visit for next year, I really can’t recommend Villa Doize enough, an awesome property in an awesome area with an awesome host! Thank you Laura, see you next year! Rob, Emma, Amy, Oliver, Win and of course not forgetting Milo the dog xxxx

Un coin paisible

Très bon contact avec la propriétaire qui a été à l'écoute tout au long de notre séjour et s'est occupée de la propreté de la piscine. Villa se situant à quelques kilomètres du village de LA DOUZE. Chambre confortable chacune équipée d'un lavabo (très pratique). Grand espace salon, salle à manger et cuisine bine équipée. Grande piscine. Coin barbecu très appréciée lors des soirées chaudes de l'été.

Très belle expérience en Périgord. Maison parfaite à tous égards.

Séjour familial 10 personnes (avec enfants et bébés) dans cette très belle maison vaste et parfaitement équipée. Cadre idyllique, piscine agréable et tous équipement souhaités. Nous recommandons sans aucune réserve et soulignons la qualité de l’accueil de la propriétaire Laura et son fils Louis.

This really felt like a home from home

We had an amazing Holiday at Villa Douze. As a group of 8 (4 adults, 4 children) there was so much room. The layout of the property works really well with the more social area's in the centre of the house making it easy to keep an eye on the kids whilst in the house. This really felt like a home from home. Very clean with a modern kitchen which was left stocked with some store cupboard essentials which always helps when travelling. The pool was fantastic, a big hit with the kids and adults alike (we had 37 degree temperatures on our visit). The location is great. Very quiet/peacefull. La Douze is very small but it has a Boulangery and a great butchers as well as a couple of bars. It's a great base to explore out around the region. Your nearest supermarket is 20 minutes away however pretty much everything is 20 minutes away in rural France. Check out the sky at night! Stunning star gazing in this rural location. Laura the host was fantastic. Very easy to communicate with and as she lives up the road also, she was on hand if needed for anything. I actually had a flat car tyre on my visit which was a real pain in the rural location. Laura was great. She actually picked the tyre up in her car and took it to a local garage who repaired the puncture, then returned at the end of the day. Amazing. As a group we do this trip every year and this was by far the best place we have stayed. Thanks Laura.

A piece of paradise in the middle of Perigord Noir

Villa Douze

Wij hebben heerlijk genoten van de rust en omgeving. Wij werden heel hartelijk ontvangen door de eigenaresse Laura, wij voelde ons gelijk thuis. Het huisjes was heel ruim en netjes. Ook het zwembad was heerlijk. Ook in het dorp bij de bakker hele aardige mensen. Dit is echt voor herhaling vatbaar. In één zin wat een super vakantie

Great location, lovely owner, great holiday

We really enjoyed our stay this summer. Laura the owner was really helpful and on hand if needed. The house was great and just what we needed as a family. Plenty of space and a lovely setting. The outdoor space and pool were a real asset and being able to eat outdoors and under shelter next to the wood fired BBQ was a joy. Parts of the house were slightly in need of some tiding up - weeds in the patio etc but all very minor and understandable after 18 months of COVID restrictions. We would highly recommend this property and the area of the Dordogne - we enjoyed caves, Kayaking, crazy golf, a water park and theme park, night markets and day markets, great local restaurants and the proximity to local amenities. The location has all these benefits while also being out in the countryside, away from neighbours, in it's own little piece of tranquillity (when then kids (big and small!) weren't leaping noisily into the pool!). We will definitely visit again.

Heerlijke omgeving

Mooi groot huis tussen veel groen ,heerlijk zwembad met lekkere ligstoelen.keuken goed uitgerust, gasstel met 8 pitten voldoende pannen bestek en servies.prima bedden,ping pongtafel,heel veel spelletjes. Minpuntje in de douchen hangen douchgordijnen wat niet prettig is alles wordt nat. Al met al een heerlijke 10 dagen gehad in villa Douze. Laura prima gastvrouw bedankt voor de heerlijke geitenkaas.

Villa Douze majestueux

Lieu magnifique avec la météo parfaite. Les propriétaires super gentils très sympathique. Le logement est parfait et tout équipé. Endroit très paisible a en profité avec des amis ou en famille. Touche personnel pour les enfants avec des jeux extérieurs comme intérieur.Je recommande vivement ce lieu magique . Merci a vous les propriétaires continuez comme ça et à très bientôt

Annonce conforme à a la description. Zone très calme. Excellent accueil, grands espaces, il ne manque rien sur place (équipements, vaisselle, linge maison, livres, jeux, ..) tout y est et plus. Nous conseillons vivement.

Erholung in ländlicher Abgeschiedenheit

Die Villa La Douze ist ein älteres Haus, das in der Nähe des Dorfes La Douze liegt. Es ist ein großes Grundstück mit Baumbestand, auf dem das Haus mit dem großzügigen Pool und den Terrassen liegen. Wir waren dort zu zehnt, und die Außenanlagen sowie die Aufenthaltsräume waren für uns ideal geeignet. Es gibt wirklich viel Platz, so dass man sich überall gemeinsam aufhalten kann oder auch immer ein ruhiges Plätzchen findet. Die Küche ist groß und gut ausgestattet und auch die Bandbreite des WLAN reicht für zehn Personen :-) Zum Bäcker im Dorf sind wir mit dem Auto gefahren, das wäre zu Fuß zu weit. Der nächste Supermarkt ist in Rouffignac, für große Einkäufe empfiehlt sich der Hyper-Intermarché in Le Bugue. Dort gibt es auch einen Bioladen. Die Vermieter haben ihre Ziegen auf dem Grundstück nebenan und sind gut erreichbar, wenn man etwas braucht. Für uns war es ein schöner, erholsamer Urlaub.

een uitstekend verblijf gehad in villa la douze

Wij waren in de villa met de familie , zes volwassenen en vier kinderen. En allemaal hebben ze een geweldig verblijf gehad . De lokatie is geweldig , rustig gelegen en men hoort hier alleen de krekels, en toch zijn de afstanden om te winkelen en voor uitstapjes zeer goed te doen. In een tjdspanne van 30 a 60 min kan men zoveel doen . Wij bezochten de grotten van Lascaux , het stadje Sarlat . de kinderen zijn gaan kayakken en hebben verschillende avontuurparken bezocht. Maar ook in de villa was het aangenaam vertoeven met een mooi zwembad ( water had 27 graden perfect) er waren ook veel gezelschapspelletjes aanwezig , trampoline , ping pong tafel etc. We waren ook met 3 fietsers en hebben heerlijke ritten gemaakt . zeer rustige wegen met weinig verkeer , soms een drukkere baan , met een schitterend landschap. Menno en Laura waren zeer spontaan en gastvrij . Menno heet ons een paar keer van de heerlijke geitenkaas gebracht, die ze op hun boerderijtje iets hogerop zelf maakten. Wij gaan ieder jaar met de familie samen op vakantie in Frankrijk, en ik mag zeggen dat dit verblijf voor ons het beste was wat we ooit gedaan hebben.. Ja , wij waren zeer tevreden.

Ideal location for family celebration

3 generations of our family came to celebrate the oldest members 70th birthday. Our family ranges from 70yrs - 4yrs, this Gitte is perfect for us all. The location is rural and peaceful with beautiful French villages close by. The hosts are friendly and helpful but not intrusive. The Gitte is large enough to accommodate ALL our needs, kitchen is well equipped (an additional oven tray is the ONLY improvement I can suggest). There are ample games provided for both outside and in, lots of outdoor space to play and relax. My concerns over the temperature of unheated pool proved to be unnecessary as it was inviting and very well utilised during our stay in May. The undercover outdoor seating is great for bbq evening gatherings. Our hosts also arranged, at our request, a local chef to come in 1 night to cook for us, which was a highlight, local menu cooked by local chef - delicious. The Gitte is homely and comfortable and we would all happily return. Our only sadness is that we have to leave. This is 1 of those places you want to keep a secret.

Beautiful villa, tremendously well equipped in a stunning part of the world

We had a wonderful week at the villa - it is the best equipped rental place we've ever been. It was extremely clean, the hosts are lovely people, the pool is fantastic and the space inside and out is perfect for a big group, we loved it. The area is stunning, we can't recommend it highly enough and will certainly be going back!
