We love offering our London base to guests and are more than happy to share tips and local secrets and have been doing so to film, arts and sporting personalities and their families for over a decade now.

Both family friendly and work ready, this 4 double bedroom, 3 bathroom split level property offers luxury stays within 15 minutes by fast train from central London as well as the eateries, bars and shops of Richmond and its lovely riverside.

This London property is within walking distance of some of the city's best amenities:

- A range of world class restaurants, pubs and wine bars right on the doorstep. A 7 minute walk to Richmond overland/underground station with direct city links to central London.
- 5 mins to Lion’s Gate entrance of the Royal Botanical Kew Gardens with year round entertainment/ educational programmes and world class children's play area.
- Richmond riverside with row boats and trips to historical palaces such as Ham House and Hampton Court in one direction as well as Westminster and tow path for running/cycle trails.
- Richmond Park with spectacular walks, horse riding as well as cycle trails is nearby as is Deer Park outdoor sports, tennis, swimming pools and children's play areas.

The ground floor offers a second double bedroom as well as a family sized bathroom with luxury standalone, bath and separate walk in shower. A hairdryer and toiletries are provided. A small separate pantry houses the washer/dryer and fridge/freezer. This opens on to a self contained suite/interconnected annexe with a double bedroom and its own kitchen/sitting area. A fourth bedroom with ensuite shower occupies the entire lower ground floor.

We had a wonderful stay in the ground floor flat in Richmond. It was clean and cozy and a great location for Kew gardens, Richmond and also trips into central London. The owner was quick to respond and offered wonderful suggestions of where to go and where to eat. I would happily stay again.

Great stay in a great location!

Tess was incredibly communicative before and during the stay which made check-in and check-out seamless. The home had everything you needed for a family with a young baby/toddler which was so helpful. The home is as per images, only thing to note is the basement does not have windows however the room was very cool and on a hot summer's night it's great. Location was perfect with tons within walking distance including the over and underground station and town with plenty of restaurants and stores. I couldn't recommend more!

The apartment is clean and well equipped. It is very warm and sunny especially in the kitchen. Car parking is directly in front of the house. The host answers your questions immediately and she is extremely helpful. We would love to come back the next time we visit London.

Fabulous Dog Friend House in Richmond

Wow, what a wonderful house, has such good vibes. My dog and i loved it. It has a nice garden and glass ceiling over the kitchen which was enjoyable in this May sunshine. The main bedroom felt so airy and super size. I also loved the bedroom in the basement, felt really exclusive, a great room. The parking space out the front was a bonus plus its proximity to Richmond train station meant quick access to/from London. Also i loved that its so close to kew gardens and a short walk to Richmond town centre. Will definitely look forward to my next stay in this property.

I am an academic and film maker with a young family who grew up in Richmond and have since lived all over Europe. I spend a great deal of time in Prague though come back to London frequently. I love travelling, reading and most of all making connections with people from all over the world.

Why they chose this property

This maisonette was originally conceived as our family home in the UK and for good reason. I grew up in Richmond in a historic property and have strong connections with the local community as well as appreciation for everything the area has to offer. As a family with active investment into the arts we love the excellent connections to central London as well as the gorgeous green spaces in Richmond. We have modernised and extended the main living space considerably to offer lots of social space and also to support working from home when necessary with an extended fourth bedroom and living suite that can be used as a separate or interconnected annexe. It has its own outdoor space and separate access from outside. The glass roofed area brings the outside inside and a feeling of brightness no matter the weather! We bring our children back frequently in order to benefit from London's cultural life and to attend camps and workshops and generally enrich their education.

What makes this property unique

We love the view of the garden from the main living space as well as the high ceilinged effect of the original Edwardian rooms. We also love being able to bring family members and friends to visit with us and offer them independence in their own adjacent suite. This apartment has all the benefits of London while maintaining the sense of a retreat.
