Our “little” one… 95 m2 that can host 4 guests.
Extending in a ground floor it consists of a living room, a kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
It stands out thanks to its tall wooden roofs, the minimal decoration and its romantic atmosphere.
Built at the highest point of the property, in direct contact with the neighbouring wood, the surrounding area and the pool, gives the guests the feeling of having everything close at hand.
Nevertheless, if you want to dive in the sea, an impressive stone stair leads you to the small beach with the blue-green water.

Wonderful location overlooking the sea

Only metres from the sea and marina it could not have been better. Lovely property and pool with stunning views of the town and marina. We sat and watched the yachts sail away at breakfast and return in the evening. Busy doing nothing in a beautiful part of the island. Highly recommended.

Such a lovely villa, beautiful location. Perfect to sit on terrace watching the boats go in and out of the bay. Weather was not great, but we did manage to relax and enjoy the local restaurants.

Villa Penelope Heaven

We stayed for only one week but wished it was going to be more,The villa had everything we needed , great facilities Perfect location.The pool was big enough to exercise in and cool down when needed. There are Orange and Lemon trees on site, both taste delicious perfect for drinks.We will definitely be booking again!The location was Sivota to the southern end of Lefkada, we hired a car from the Airport, this was for us essential, but not necessary you have shops Tavernas, Taxis available and boat hire or even Yacht hire, and skipper courses .From Villa Penelope the view was increadable directly opposite were hills, also day to day watching the boats come and go, very relaxing.A Short drive took us to Waterfalls, a lighthouse some of the most incredible long quite beeches and hiking trails all over !!The food quality from all of Sivotas Tavernas was excellent, Vibes the first one you walk from the villa into the bay was particularly good , needless to say we ate at them all in the evening through the week.It was only a very short walk from the Villa to the Sivota bay area literally 3 minutes. Penelope is a wonderful property - the villa itself is of a very high standard and the service was excellent, we particularly appreciated the thoughtful basket of essential food when we arrived. The location is also fantastic - Sivota is a beautiful village with all amenities and some great reastaurants within a very short walk. Overall, highly recommended, and we can’t wait to come back!

Villa Penelope is in a great location. The views are fantastic of the pretty harbour with the mountainous backdrop, whilst being so close to the beach, tavernas and bay. The villa itself is faultless - all that we needed as a family of four. It is completely private too. The children loved the pool , as did we! It was such a relaxing holiday , centred around the pool and having brunch/lunch and supper at the very good tavernas just a short stroll away (5minutes) with fresh fish every day. We would definitely recommend this villa .

Beautiful place in Sivota Lefkas Greece

Sivota is charming enough but Villa Penelope positioned at the very end of the bay enjoys a great position. Great view across the bay to the tavernas yet a 10 minute stroll past the Marina and you are there. Added to that it is a charming building next door to its bigger sister Christina. The pool is lovely and everything you'd want is provided. We really enjoyed our stay and would return in a heart beat with no worries.

Fantastic villa holiday in a great location

Villa PeneIope is a wonderful villa in an idyllic spot. It is everything it says on the details and more. We thoroughly enjoyed all the bars and restaurants in Sivota and the towns close by. We didn’t have the best of weather all of the time, but that really didn’t matter because Villa Penelope is a fabulous place to spend time and relax and watching the thunder and ligthning storms from the living room was astonishing. The village of Sivota is excellent for eating, and is so reasonabaly priced. The people were so friendly making us feel at home. In particular the Yacht Bar where they accomodated us with the 2015RWC. The villa itself is high quality, well maintained and well laid out, it has everything you need. We enjoyed our holiday so much we are booking again for next June.

Wish I was the owner of such amazing property!

Undoubtedtly, Villa Penelope was one of the most beautuful villas that we have ever been to. And we have very high expectations from the properties that we book. Its not easy to describe the feeling that the villa and its amazing location offer you. The architecture of the villa is great, for a familly of 4 it is very comfortable and ergonomic. The swimming pool is lovely with the perfect size for the whole family to play inside. And the location... Oh my god... I totally loved it... It is built at the end of the picturesque village of Sivota.. On your left you have the forest, and on your right you are completely isolated from the other Villa (which is at a lower level) by trees and plantation.. And the view is perfect, so calming and tranquil, looking down on the small marina... The fact that you have everything within reach by foot, just by going down the stone stair and walking towards the center, it is priceless, while at the same time you feel totally isolated and no one can see you, and you have all the privacy that you could need. I really was amazed by Villa Penelope. The amenities covered our needs, we enjoyed the BBQ outside, and overall we had a great stay that I wish would have lasted longer than a week. Thank you for the hospitality!

We had a very nice and relaxing holiday and loved

The house is nicely situated on a hill overlooking the bay with all the ship moments. Very relaxing. Outdoor furniture is good. The pool very inviting. It has been cleaned regularly. Indoor furniture needs some upgrade in the kitchen, especially the table. The two bedrooms at two sides of the house is well panned. One bath with tub is very comfortable, the other one very small, no room to put your stuff. After a shower, everything is wet. For two people water is ok, if there are more who want to have a shower at the same hour, there is not enough hot water. There is a room to put your car and a gate around the property which we appreciated. The organizational procedure was easy (reserve, pay, find the house, have instructions where to eat and what to see). We would choose the house again.

Villa Penelope is an absolutely wonderful property in the quiet village of Sivota. As a family of four, with one teenager and one toddler, we had a fantastic one-week stay and would love to come back again. The villa matches the pictures and description on the website and is very stylish, comfortable, and well-maintained. Its perfect location guarantees absolute privacy, even from the neighbouring villa, whilst at the same time offering a lovely view over Sivota bay and the marina. Driving from Bulgaria, we easily found the property by following the directions that Maria, the owner, had emailed us in advance. The next day we met the property managers Marino and Beate, who kindly brought us a baby-cot after we had forgotten to specify we would need one. They came once more during our stay to clean the pool, and were very friendly and helpful. Before our departure, Maria had also emailed us some recommendations for restaurants, shops and things to see in the area (all with clear directions) and we enjoyed trying out the local restaurants in Sivota villlage. The food was excellent in all of them, but we particularly liked the restaurant closest to us, the Ionian tavern. The village also has some nice places for breakfast or a morning coffee, and a few bars for a drink at night, all very pleasant and lively. If you have a car, Sivota is a perfect starting point for exploring the island and its wonderful beaches. For us, however, the quiet and comfort of the villa, the view, the wonderful pool, and the village at walking distance meant we mostly stayed in Sivota. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay in villa Penelope, and hope to be back here again in future.

Beautiful villa ..... Amazing location....

We have just returned from our second two week stay at the beautiful Villa Penelope. Our first holiday in the villa was in 2012 and we knew then that it was a very special villa in a very special village and one that would draw us back again and again. We first stayed in Syvota in a hillside villa in 2011 and although the villa was lovely, we didn't want to drive to and from the village in the evening and so we set out to find a suitable villa in the village - and we found it ..... The location is just perfect, private and quiet enough to offer a relaxing and peaceful stay but only a minutes walk to the Yacht Bar and the wonderful food at the Ionian Taverna. The villa is finished to a very high standard and the pool and terrace area is large - the pool being bigger than most pools we have experienced in similar sized villas. The bottom terrace is a wonderful place to enjoy breakfast while watching Syvota "wake up" or for enjoying a drink to cool off in the shade during the day. Syvota is a picturesque village with very friendly locals and there are lots of excellent tavernas and bars to enjoy whilst strolling around the quayside. There are two bars in particular that we love - both have wonderful romantic music to create the perfect ambiance for chilling - (you will easily find them on your first night there) .... Maria, the owner was really helpful and organised our taxi from the airport on both occasions - however, there is ample parking at the villa if you want to have a car to explore the Island ..... We love this villa and Syvota is a beautiful place, so put the two together and you have the ingredients for a truly fabulous holiday - you will not be disappointed if you stay in Villa Penelope and I am sure, like us, you will want to return for many years to come....

First Class

We have just returned from a week in Villa Penelope and without hesitation we can say that is is first class. The property is as described, the photos are accurate and the standard of fittings and furniture is very good. The descriptions of Sivota in other reviews are well judged and the resort provides an enviable mixture of tranquility with a reasonable choice of local tavernas. A two week stay without transport may stretch the choice of shopping and eating options a little thinly but certainly for a week of peace and quiet the villa and village are excellent. Add in a car and you have a perfect base for exploring the south and middle of the island. The location of the property is particularly good if you are seeking privacy. It is the last building on the east side of the village and has only the adjacent larger villa owned by the same couple as an immediate neighbour. That villa does offer accommodation for 8 and so complete peace and quiet cannot be absolutely guaranteed but the pool and gardens are completely private. Over the last 25+ years we have rented accommodation in a variety of locations in Europe and North America. We can confidently say that Villa Penelope is in the top three of those and we can recommend it with complete confidence.

What a holiday!!

Villa Penelope is an absolute gem. It is set in an idyllic coastal village with several restaurants and bars, not too much but just enough. The villa is on the hill with a wonderful view over the beautifully calm waters of the bay onto the village itself. The Villa is extremely comfortable, clean and luxurious, decorated to a very high standard and well equipped. The little welcome pack of food and drink was very much appreciated after the day's travel from home, and a very thoughtful touch. The management staff and locals were very pleasant and helpful. We spent a perfect week there, were very sad to leave and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the villa and Syvota itself to anyone!

Chic villa with wonderful private pool

My husband and I have just returned having spent a fabulous relaxing week here. The villa has everything you could possible want to ensure a comfortable stay and is decorated and furnished to a very high standard indeed. The villa is located at one end of the harbour and is situated to provide utter privacy and wonderful views. The pool was much larger than we expected it to be and good quality sunloungers and umberellas were provided. We did not meet the owners, but the villa managers were helpful and knowledgable and available during our stay if we needed anything. We did not hire a car, so the owner arranged transport to collect and return us to the airport. Although not as large as other resorts on the island, Sivota has a number of good quality and reasonably priced taverna's to choose from. We ate several times in Taverna Apothiki (old store) which was busy every night. The local wine, Land of Lefkas is pretty good as are any of the whtie wines offered by the carafe. For drinks the Yacht Bar is good and can be lively in the evenings. We would highly recommend a stay here and hope one day to return ourselves.

A lovely holiday in Sivota

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Villa Penelope in June 2009. The location and quality of the accommodation were excellent and we highly recommend both the villa and the resort. In particular, we would highlight the spacious and comfortable rooms in the villa and the high quality and very stylish fittings and furnishings. It is without doubt the best accommodation we have stayed in during many years visiting the Greek Islands. The exterior was also delightful and very well laid out with lovely gardens and an excellent swimming pool. The sunbathing areas included high quality furniture and sunbeds. There are beautiful views from the sun terrace across the bay towards Sivota, where the constant activity from visiting and locally based yachts provides plenty of interest. There is small but attractive and safe bathing beach just below the villa, accessed via stone steps from the sun terrace. The resort of Sivota is not large, but it is very pleasant and well established and there is a lot of interest and activity in the yacht harbour. There are a number of very good cafes, tavernas and bars within easy walking distance of the villa and, although there are plenty of places to visit on the island, it is not necessary to drive to access good food and entertainment in very nice surroundings. For the more adventurous, there are beautiful walks in the surrounding hills with superb views across to Meganissi and beyond. It is also possible to hire a boat and visit other bays resorts. We very much appreciated the warm welcome from the owners and excellent service from the local team who looked after us during our stay. We will definitely return!

My husband and I are civil engineers. We come from Lefkas, Ionian Islands and we live in Athens. We have always wanted a beautiful holiday house at our hometown. So, we built “ARODO | SEASIDE VILLAS”. We named the villas after our daughters Christina and Penelope - in the meantime we have one more daughter, Vasiliki, but no other villa. We are proud to have used a lot of our energy, personal taste and technical knowlegde in completing “ARODO | SEASIDE VILLAS”.
We are very positive that our guests enjoy our villas as much as we do every summer.

Why they chose this property

The land was passed down through our parents and we felt we had an obligation to take full advantage of it.

What makes this property unique

Late in the evenings, we enjoy a lot, among others, the view of the sailing boats return to their base, while we are having a drink by the pool. It's so lively and tranquil together. It makes me wonder of how lucky we all are being able to enjoy such beautiful surroundings.
