We enjoyed our stay the house was well equipped and clean and tidy when we arrived.
We enjoyed our stay the house was well equipped and clean and tidy when we arrived. the house was well placed to drive to other villages and towns and also well placed to go on walks. We had read about the garden being steep but it was not an issue. it was a lovely spot to stay and we will definitely be back.

A wonderful stay, fully equipped kitchen and easy to use appliances and instructions on use, and very clean. Would be nice to have had a chair and luggage rack in the bedroom and it could do with a few more plug sockets. The village itself is beautiful but scored lower due to a lack of a shop (understandable as it's a very small village) and tricky to access via a steep hill but this did make the village exceptionally quiet and undoubtedly part of it's charm.

Had a great time at seal view cottage.
Had a great time at seal view cottage. Saw some seals in the distance. My youngest loved the beach and we were down there nearly all the time. No local shops, but Berwick is only a short drive. The local pub serves tasty food and lovely local ales. Had a day trip to Edinburgh on the train and lots of other local trips out. Highly recommend this cottage!!!

Absolutely brilliant. Situation wonderful, wildlife in abundance what more could you wish for? We took all our food with us and very pleased to find a full sized under counter freezer. Only had to buy some milk the day before our return well satisfied.

The location is beautiful, very quite and peaceful.
The location is beautiful, very quite and peaceful. The cottage was clean and very comfortable. We made the comment that this was the best equipped self catering cottage we have ever stayed in, there is everything you need there, the drinks fridge was a lovely surprise. The only thing you need to be aware of when booking here is that it is a little steep when going up the garden.
This is a lovely location for heading north into the Borders and towards Edinburgh or heading south into Northumberland, but we suggest you need a car!

Lovely cottage, perfect view, pity about the very steep & in secure rear garden, (it does state this in cottage details) which unfortunately meant we couldn’t use it as dogs would run off.

excellent cottage fully equipped superb wifi for my teenagers, very friendly neighbours.
excellent cottage fully equipped superb wifi for my teenagers, very friendly neighbours. Perfect right next to the sea where you can watch the fishing boats. Make sure you stock up at nearby Morrisons 10 mins drive away as no local shops..very steep 20% hill to reach the cottage but worth it as the working harbour is stunning. Couldn't fault the cottage even beer left in a fridge all mod cons, beds comfy. We visited Edinburgh, North Berwick, Berwick U Tweed, Lindisfarne and recommend local Eyemouth rib trip..so good base to explore and wind down of a night watching the sea. I will post the parking disc to you tomorrow as we forgot to put it back in useful folder..this disc lets you park in Berwick U Tweed for 3 hrs by the church.

Loved this cottage.
Loved this cottage. Right next to the sea, at the end of a dead-end road, and minutes' walk from the harbour. Not the place to go if you want local facilities, but plenty to do in Eyemouth and Berwick, which aren't far away. We loved the views and the cottage was exactly what we were looking for. We saw seals on the distant rocks (with the aid of binoculars) at low tide, and there were picnic tables and seats outside at the front of the cottage from which to enjoy the views and soak up the atmosphere.

We had a lovely week touring the area, and the cottage was lovely and clean and had everything you could want inside. However, this cottage is not dog friendly as advertised, insomuch as the garden has no gate to the left which leads directly into the neighbours garden and the road beyond. The “steep steps” into the lawned area and patio was in fact a step ladder. This meant anything bigger than a spaniel had zero chance of getting to the garden even I they were on the lead. I had to take them onto the grassed area in front of the property, and this meant running the gauntlet of the local dogs who were allowed to run round freely and harass any other dog they chose. Whilst I appreciate this is not the responsibility of the cottage/owner, this is something visitors need to be aware of.
The only issue in the cottage was in the complimentary drinks fridge. I’d already drunk 1 bottle of lager and opened a second when I spotted the best before dates... 3 lagers out of date Sept 2018, one out of date May 2018. One can of Tango also out of date. A fresh pint of milk would make for a better welcome pack.
