About this property

Luxurious living at the newly renovated private Monroe Bungalow, Central Denver,

Surprise! The Monroe Bungalow is a historic gem on the outside and a bright, open, fresh modern beauty on the inside. The home was remodeled in 2020 with an open floor plan, spacious new kitchen, bathroom and basement. The home is tastefully designed using a mix of family antiques and modern furniture, it glows with nearly two dozen windows, dimmable modern lighting and beautiful white oak hardwood floors throughout the open floor plan.

The bungalow is perfect for working from home enjoyably and well appointed for convenient everyday use. Amenities including a sunny office with desk and shelving, a fully outfitted kitchen, a huge basement recreational room, new washer and dryer, and tons of closets and organizational space for all your gear. Not to mention a spacious fenced in back yard and perfect front porch for working outside or watching the world go by. You will feel comfortably at home no matter how long you stay.

All bedding includes plush down pillows and comforters and new memory foam mattresses: one king bed, one queen bed and two twin beds. The living room has a Smart TV, Sonos sound system, high speed internet, and the dining room table seats 6 comfortably.

The kitchen at the Monroe Bungalow is a dream with two massive granite peninsulas for preparation, cooking and bar seating for three. The kitchen is fully stocked with brand new cook and bake ware, single oven, 5 burner gas stove top, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, large pantry, glassware, servingware, bowls, coffee maker, knives, pots, pans etc.

The spotless modern bathroom has dual sinks and tons of storage space, ample plush, clean towels, bluetooth sound system, a fantastic shower/bath and sunlight that streams in from the skylight above.

However, the best part of the Monroe Bungalow, is the location!! Situated in the charming Congress Park neighborhood, you will experience quiet nights, ample on-street parking, and walkability to the best Denver has to offer, including three city parks, the Denver Botanic Gardens, the Natural History Museum, the Denver Zoo, 12th Street commercial district, 9th and CO dining district, Cherry Creek North Shopping area, grocery stores, and the Colfax Avenue commercial district all pithing a 10 minute walk!

Colfax, to the north, is known as the longest continuous street in the US with endless restaurants, bars, record shops, music venues and coffee shops. While staying at the Monroe House you shouldn't miss out on an opportunity to see live music at one of Denver's long-standing hot spots on Colfax such as the Bluebird, Ogden or Fillmore. For a completely different scene, head south instead to the swanky Cherry Creek North commercial neighborhood with boutique shopping, art galleries, furniture and design galleries, and plenty of excellent dining options.

The property is an easy uber or drive under 3 miles to downtown Denver where you'll find an incredible array of entertainment options. A few include Larimer Square (for foodies), Mile-High Stadium (for Broncos Games), Denver Center for the Performing Arts (Largest performing arts complex in the country), Coors Field (home of the CO Rockies), Elitch Gardens and Water World Amusement Parks, the Pepsi Center, the US Mint, 16th Street Mall, Denver Museum of Nature and Science, and the downtown Aquarium. For accessing the mountains, or the front range cities such as Boulder, Ft. Collins or Colorado Springs, both I-70 and I-25 are just minutes away.

Come stay with us at the Monroe Bungalow and experience Denver living at its finest!

PS. Pets are negotiable, I don’t have any myself, so lets talk about it. Thanks!.

Vibrant neighborhood
I was in Denver for family and appointments with an area hospital. The adorable house was convenient to the hospital AND every grocery store AND a myriad of restaurants. I plan to stay again. Safe, charming, and convenient. ❤️

Cozy, comfy bungalow in amazing hood
We stayed for a month and couldn’t have been more comfortable. Host went out of her way to accommodate us. Renters were in the other side of the duplex and we never heard a peep out of them. We walked to everything and got a lot of mileage from the backyard too. Pups loved it. Stay here!

Charming Historic Bungalow
My family stayed at Nicole’s bungalow in the historic Congress Park neighborhood for a month, as part of a corporate relocation program. Nicole is an outstanding host and our stay was the perfect introduction to Denver living. The attention to detail in this bungalow was truly amazing. From the large expansive gourmet kitchen to the gorgeous linens, this is truly one of the best VRBO accommodations that we have been fortunate enough to stay in. Nicole was also wonderful to work with. She is incredibly thoughtful, responsive and truly kind hearted. Exactly the best sort of host. Loved this place!

Home misrepresented in listing and cleanliness and safety were an issue.
1. Fireplace is not functional. Owner stated she had it insulated after I messaged about it despite the listing advertising a fireplace. 2. Only 1 king size bed present on property, not all three as mentioned in typed description. 3. Kitchen hood vent for the open flame gas stove was nonfunctional (owner stated she was aware and suggested we open backdoor in middle of winter to air out the kitchen). 4. When kitchen sink garbage disposal was used we found it backed up with food particles and water into the basement where bedroom and laundry room were located. Basement carpet got wet because of this. Owner stated she was already aware of the backup in correspondence. 5. Thermostat automatically programmed throughout stay to periodically turn temp to 65 degrees throughout the day and nightly. Owner took two days to fix this and our kids repeatedly woke up in middle of the night being cold. 6. Large dust bunnies and trash (used tissues, shaving cream can caps) found under the beds. Condoms found in medicine cabinet. 7. Living room sofa, cloth covered kitchen chairs, and basement futon had numerous stains. 8. The listing advertised an iron and coffeemaker being present on property; never found coffeemaker or iron. Ironing board present but dirty, Would not rent from owner again.

I thrive on cultivating memorable experiences for others by curating spaces for guests to feel at home, from the community to the kitchen, and helping people find and purchase their Denver dream homes! Find me at RE/MAX of Cherry Creek, where making my clients happy makes me happy! From Broncos Stadium to the Continental Divide, the 4-Corners, and Ther Belly Up Aspen, Colorado offers my favorite things and I want to shout it aloud!!

Why they chose this property

The Monroe Bungalow is located in the quiet Denver Congress Park neighborhood made up of turn-of-the-century brick bungalows with front porches and rows of mature trees, and it is close to everything! The house is a 10-minute drive downtown or a 5-15 minute walk to the 12th St neighborhood center, 9&Co, the Colfax District, the Cherry Creek North shopping district, the Botanic Gardens, the Denver Zoo, the Museum of Nature and Science, and several parks including Congress Park, Cheesman Park and City Park!!
The neighbors are kind, modest and out and about enjoying the Colorado sunshine come snow or heat! Enjoy the beautiful gardens along the parkways on your way to lunch or a park. In the summertime, the Congress Park Pool is the place to be with an Olympic-sized lap pool, baby pool, water aerobics classes, a fantastic playground and soft blue grass fields that tickle your bare toes. Once you visit, you will want to move here!

What makes this property unique

I take great pride in the cleanliness, design and comfort of all my properties. They have all the amenities you need to stay. The Bungalow maximizes easy living with comfy bedding, a separate office, ample closet space and storage, a cheery garden-level basement, a front porch and a fenced-in yard. Remodeled in 2017, the house boasts an inviting, new, fully stocked kitchen, and huge granite countertops great for working, cooking and hosting.
