Beautiful and Serene getaway - trail ride or hike directly into Big South Fork!

Deer Haven Lodge located within Spruce Creek Acres is a spacious, 1,428 sq. ft. cabin with two bedrooms, loft, and 2 bathrooms. Two bedrooms have queen size beds and the loft has two twin size beds. There is also a queen-size sleeper sofa (with new memory foam mattress, sleeps great!) in the living room. There is a gorgeous and peaceful back deck with a hot tub that is such a great treat after a long day of hiking or riding! The cabin is very close to the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area and Pickett State Park. Be sure to bring your hiking boots, and/or horses, because there are hundreds of miles of trails within the 123,000-acre national park are located close by, featuring a number of scenic landmarks such as mountain streams, natural bridges, waterfalls, rock houses, natural arches and more. Deer Haven Lodge features include a cathedral ceiling, an electric fireplace, hand-crafted log staircase, outdoor fire pit, gas grill, and much more. Deer Haven also features 12 Mbps High Speed Wireless Internet along with local cable television. There are 2 flat screen televisions in the cabin both of which have local cable television and one is a Smart TV located in the living room. There are 4 stalls on site for horses. This cabin is located at the end of the road with a circle drive, very private, peaceful and serene. Nearby you can also tour historic Rugby, check out the Muddy Pond Mennonite community, take the Big South Fork Scenic Railway, go to the Sgt. Alvin C. York Historic Park, swim and hike up at Pickett State Park, and do some fishing or whitewater rafting in Big South Fork. Perfect getaway for couples, families, or friends looking for some peace and adventure. Disclaimer: Interior door locks are not toddler friendly (They are stall latches.) and there is a set of internal stairs to the loft with no baby gate. Note about additional fees: There is a $250 refundable damage deposit, but it is set to refund automatically within 7 days. If you would like to utilize the RV hookup it is $25/day. If you would like to bring a pet, the pet fee is a onetime fee of $25 for the stay for each pet with a maximum of 2 pets. One time cleaning fee of $75.

We absolutely love this cabin and the area. It's so beautiful and serene and the perfect getaway for a couple, family, or group of friends. It's beyond nice to have your horses right there where you can see them, be able to tack up and just ride off directly from the cabin to various trails within the park.
