Casa do Borratém for 2 people

The Borratém House is situated in a Country Region, Mafra district, 25Kms from Lisbon, in the center of a village that was characterized in the past by farming activities.

The scarcity of water in this village made the families dig small wells. On the street where this house now stands, was once one of these wells, which served mainly to give water to animals, which locals have come to call the “Poceco Borratem”.

For its unique location, near the capital (Lisbon), this small family house, built in 1944, and with typical construction of the time, offers a rural experience and simultaneously serves as a starting point to explore the many attractions of the region.

Gonçalo is a wonderful host, made sure I had everything I needed. The house is kept in great condition and sits on a hill that gives you a breeze and amazing early morning and evening views. Definitely returning.

Belle location près de Mafra, très bien située pour sillonner de Mafra à Lisbonne et Sintra. Accueil exceptionnel de Gonçalo Mota et de son père qui nous amenait pain et oeufs tous les matins... Parfait pour un couple. Cette ancienne maison de famille a été restaurée dans le style Portugais et chaleureux.

Todo fenomenal, la casa equipada con todo lo.necesario, Susana y Gonzalo hablan perfectamente español y son muy atentos, te explican todo y te dan un kit de bienvenida con pan, chorizo, queso y vino, todo riquísimo. El jardín de la casa muy cuidado y muy bonito, ideal si viajas con mascotas. La situación de la casa excelente para ver Lisboa, sintra, cascais, estoril..... sitios que mi pareja y yo visitamos y recomendamos. Muchas gracias por todo y totalmente recomendable casa do borratem.

Casita perfecta para ir en pareja o con niños.

Casa Borratem, una casa que en los primeros momentos ya te sientes como en tu propia casa. Muy bien acondicionada; el trato con Gonzalo (el propietario) fue genial, siempre atento y amable. Decoración sencilla pero cuidada, recordando los tiempos pasados de su familia, cómoda, agradable... Ni qué decir del pan calentito y los bollitos que traen todos los días a primera hora, todo un detalle digno de mención. Situada a media hora de Lisboa, con un coche te desplazas sin problemas a la costa surfera de Ericeira, a Sintra, Cascais... un buen centro de operaciones, tranquilo y sin turismo. Mención especial también a Mafra, con su enorme Palacio on una de las bibliotecas más increíbles que hayamos visto y su gente sencilla y agradable. Tuvimos ocasión de visitar la Iglesia, donde una vez al mes se da un concierto con sus seis órganos (sí, son seis!!). Muy recomendado para la gente aficionada a la música clásica y para los que no, también. En definitiva, la Casa do Borratem es un lugar al que volveremos, esperamos que pronto! Perfecto para ir en pareja y con niños. Recomendado!!!
