We had a great stay. Close enough to walk everywhere you want but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Loved being able to open the door and enjoy the canal right outside.

Diet and Sven we are very hospitable and provided recommendations for sites to see in Amsterdam and other cities we traveled.. accommodations were comfortable and cozy. we are walkers so to qualify to get to sites close and far away took us between 25 to 35 minutes.. we took an Uber when it rained.

Very good communication with the host. Pamphlets, etc in the room with ideas of things to do. Coffee machine and tea a welcome touch. Nice sliding window on canal side to let in fresh air.Comfortable bedQuiet neighbourhood with close proximity to some restaurants and coffee shops.Bus station nearby for easy access to city core/museums if you don't always want to walk the app 30 min,Concrete wall on other side of canal.

Pros: Quiet neighborhood setting, off the tourist path, close to a tram line. Friendly host. Fan provided. Cons: “Canal view” is misleading. Check-in was hard at night, no lighting around the entrance. Shower flooded easily, could not take normal length showers due to the water not draining fast enough.

Doet was a lovely host and everything went smoothly - loved the walkability of the area and access to bus/transit. It was great to wake up on the water every day. I think we must have misunderstood the listing as we assumed it was like other VRBO's and would have a kitchen/laundry, operates more as a hotel room, which was also OK. Just a quick note for summer travellers because we forgot to check, there is a fan but no AC so it can be quite warm in there at night. Thanks again Doet!

A super cute and quaint spot to fulfill the dream of staying on a houseboat. The space is quite small, but it works for 1-2 people for a couple of nights. The area is beautiful and quiet with shops and restaurants nearby. It was great to have the fan as it was quite warm in the room! Host was super communicative and responsive. Space was very clean. It is a private room and bathroom with other stays on the premises. Doors were a little loud, but nothing too terrible or that kept us awake. Would absolutely stay here again!

We really liked being on a houseboat on the Canal. The hosts were lovely and helpful, an indication we found of many Dutch people. We were not expecting to be let in early but we were as well. Much appreciated oon a very hot day.The room had everything we needed and was in a nice quiet area yet close to a supermarket, great bakery and lots of cafes and novel stand alone businesses. We like walking and it was an easy walk to get to the centre as long as you mind the bikes. It was a great experience.

Beautiful Dutch Respite on Canal

Well maintained, simply modern style room with great views. Easy walking to Westerpark, restaurants, and bus access to any where in the city. A lovely family of hosts.

Wonderful accommodation and hosts!

I had a wonderful stay at this lovely little accommodation by the water. It’s tucked away in a peaceful, quiet area, yet it’s just a short walk to the city center. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. The location is perfect for a relaxing getaway, and I would definitely return if I’m ever in Amsterdam again. Highly recommend!
