Winter Driving Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Make sure the chains are the proper size for your tires and are in working order. You may find valuable winter driving tips from the CHP website.
Summer Patio Furniture Patio furniture is available for your use during summer months only. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills, however, do remain outside for your enjoyment.
Be Bear Aware Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wildlife.

Our family of 5 with 3 kids under 10 had a great winter break at Talmont. Super convenient location on the west side, plenty of room, comfortable living space and bedrooms, and a fantastic yard and view. The backyard was perfect for sledding during the day. The only downside was that we couldn't access the garage, so had to dig our car out of a couple feet of snow when checking out. Minor downside though and would definitely book this place again.
Absolutely loved staying here. Beautiful lake views from the living room and the balcony, the photos on the listing don’t do it justice. Kitchen was well stocked with amenities for cooking at home. Hill out back was fun for our kids to play in snow and and make a sled run. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back here. Thank you for a perfect vacation!
We had to live 5 days with all the garbage inside the house because the garbage cabin dint open and when the company comes to open was full of the prerior rental and the snow was terrible and nobody comes to clean in 4 days the snow outside I had to call and the man said i dint see the pools i waste time and loose ski classes digging
We had a fantastic time and this house was perfect for our family. Great layout, plenty of room for our family, and great amenities. The check in/out process was really smooth and the communication was great. Would definitely stay here again.
