About this property

Bear Hunter | Theater, Jacuzzi, Arcade, Pool Table

The breathtaking view of Mount LeConte is one fabulous reason to spend your Smoky Mountain vacation in Bear Hunter—and there are plenty more as well. The four-bedroom log cabin, which sleeps fourteen, is rich in luxuries ranging from jetted tubs to a pool table.

Bear Hunter has three floors. A primary suite makes up the entire loft level. A haven in and of itself, this bedroom boasts a king-size bed beneath a wood-planked cathedral ceiling; like all the other bedrooms, it also has a TV with satellite channels. In this suite’s private bathroom you’ll find a large jetted tub. No matter how exhausted you are from hiking, biking, or golfing, a long soak among its massaging waters will have you feeling relaxed and restored.

Down one flight of stairs is the main floor. On this level is a second primary suite, complete with a king-size bed and a huge private bathroom with yet another Jacuzzi. With two luxurious suites, Bear Hunter is a wonderful choice for two families who want to vacation together.

Also on the main floor is the great room, which is truly worth of the name. A wall of picture windows lets you admire the Smoky Mountains even as you kick back on one of the two plush sofas or sit down to eat at the dining table, which seats ten. The hickory floors, the towering ceiling, and the handsome furnishings create an ambience of rustic elegance. In addition to the comfortable couches, the living area includes a large TV with a Blu-ray player and a fireplace for cozying around on chilly winter evenings.

Along with the large table, the dining area features a quartz-top breakfast bar where another four people can sit. The breakfast bar doubles as additional counter space for the fully equipped kitchen. From refrigerator to oven, microwave to dishwasher, coffeemaker to blender, Bear Hunter’s kitchen has all the appliances you’ll need—and all the cookware and tableware too. There’s also a grill outside, should you have a hankering for barbecue. Other amenities of the main floor include a washer, a dryer, and a half-bath.

If you’re wondering where the kids disappeared to, check the downstairs game room. There’s something here to keep everyone entertained for hours, if not days: a full-size pool table, a 60-game arcade, a 65” TV with surround sound and a Blu-ray player, a PlayStation 2, PlayStation 4 an Xbox 360… Even when you’re not playing games, the room is a marvelous spot for relaxing, thanks to its two sumptuous sofas and fireplace.

The remaining two bedrooms are also downstairs. One is furnished with a king-size bed; the other includes a pair of bunk beds, so that as many as four people can sleep here. Have additional guests? One of the sofas in the game room and one in the great room open into beds for two.

And let’s not forget Bear Hunter’s two decks, both of which wrap around three sides of the home. From the gliders and rockers you’ll have an exceptional view of the Smoky Mountains, including Mount LeConte, and lush woodlands. For a true sensory delight, luxuriate in the lower deck’s hot tub at night, gazing up at the star-studded sky as whip-poor-wills trill and owls hoot. It’s an experience you’ll long remember.

Bear Hunter’s quiet, semi-secluded location means you won’t be overlooking other cabins while you relax on the decks. Yet, the cabin is close to the area’s favorite attractions. The Smoky Mountain Arts & Crafts Community, an eight-mile trail of galleries, shops, and studios, is within walking distance, and Rocky Top Sports World is just a ten-minute drive. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Dollywood, Bent Creek Golf Course, and downtown Gatlinburg are all less than a half-hour away.

Convenience, luxury, comfort, and spectacular views: Bear Hunter has it all. Book your stay today, and get ready for a truly magical vacation.

Annual trip
The check in was a little rough. The code provided didn’t work. Also the Wi-Fi network and password were incorrect on the email we received. A capital “R” makes a difference. After those first couple of hiccups, everything went great. This is an older property than those we stayed at before, but it was clean and provided a great experience.

Loved Bear Hunt
Our family loved this cabin! There were 11 of us and we had plenty of room. The house was super clean. It was perfect between pigeon forge and gatlinburg. Our men loved playing pool. The hot tub was hot and clean. Everyone had plenty of privacy. The number of bathrooms and 1/2 baths made it super easy for a large party to get ready. The view is great. Perfect to watch the sunrise and drink coffee. We loved having 2 coffee pots. There was an xbox and 2 playstations. I would like to see more bowls in the kitchen and fluffier pillows but that was minor. The mattresses are comfy as well. We will be returning in the future. Thank you for supplying such a great place to stay!

Anniversary celebration for grandma and grandpa
Cabin was everything we had hoped for. Views were amazing!! Cousins ages 2 -10 had a blast with the pool table, hot tub and bunk beds. Plenty of room for 3 families to spread out and make some wonderful memories.

Beautiful Cabin - Missing The Basics
Enjoyed the cabin, will not rent again. Wi-Fi was a disaster with 8mbs download. Kitchen was missing fundamentals like salt/pepper, trash bags, shampoo, tin foil, etc. We were shocked given the amount of money we paid that these basics were missing. Even the grill was on the last leg and had not been cleaned. SAFTEY CONCERN: We noticed the foundation pillars on the first floor were BOWING terribly and likely require a professional inspection to certify it for safety purposes.
