About this property

Lovely Apartment above Hastings Old Town

The apartment opens onto the garden of our Edwardian house, above the old town of Hastings. The main bedroom has a comfortable four poster bed, the second bedroom has four poster bunk beds!
The flat has a modern kitchen including dishwasher, a bathroom with walk-in shower and a lovely living room with French windows and a cosy ‘living coal’ gas fire to warm you after a bracing autumn walk. The apartment is ideal for four people but the sofa in the living room converts into a small double bed for one or possibly two.

There’s lots to do in and around Hastings. The old town, the seafront and the country park are all just a short walk away, so whether you fancy antique hunting, beach combing or blustery walks, you’re sure to find plenty to keep you busy. Walking down through the old town to the seafront and Hastings Contemporary Gallery takes about 15 minutes. We are situated 1.5 kilometre to the old town and 2.3 kilometres to the new town.

We generally have a minimum of two night stays but, if you would like to stay for one night only, then please contact us to discuss whether this will be possible.

Perfect 1/2 way home break

We had such a lovely stay - the hosts were accommodating and friendly and the property was cosy, homely and had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed sitting in the garden in the autumn mornings, which felt like a sanctuary - listening to the birds and enjoying the plants and trees. The gas fire in the living room was warming in the evenings. Beds were comfy, space was clean and it's a lovely location up on a hill, an enjoyable 15-20 minute ramble into Hastings Old Town.

Great hosts, great location

Lovely long weekend in Hastings

Great property for a stay just near enough the old town and seafront to not having to take the car, kids loved the bunk bed and apartment was comfortable & had everything we needed. Friendly owners, we had a fab time.

Great location in hastings

A nice English stay over on our stop in Hastings. The location is beautifull, and a 10-15 minute walk brings to to the old hasting city center, from which you can reach all the attractions. Housing was clean and sufficient for the stay.

Spotlessly clean and within a 5 minute drive of the beach/town centre or a 15 min walk away. Quiet location and spacious rooms. Very comfortable double bed. A perfect stay in Hastings

My husband and I had a perfect stay in the apartment of Claire and Andrew. Lots of room, a beautiful garden and lovely hosts. They made us feel very welcome in every way. Thanks! Wonderful apartment

The apartment is beautiful, spacious, and well maintained. The garden is absolutely gorgeous and made for a very relaxing and peaceful respite for our family after several days in London. The owners were very kind and attentive and the apartment is in a lovely neighborhood and an easy walk to shops and pubs. Andrew and Clare are absolutely delightful hosts nothing was too much trouble for them.The apartment was very cosy and yet spacious absolutely immaculate throughout it’s ideally located and there’s even a slight sea veiw from two of the rooms.would definitely recommend this place and hopefully we definitely be coming back.

I chose this accommodation because of the good reviews and I was not disappointed. The hosts were very friendly. The apartment was very clean and nicely furnished. In the kitchen was everything you needed. The garden is beautiful and it was wonderfull to have breakfast or just to sit there. We felt very comfortable.

Great property with gorgeous garden

A lovely little break in a period property. Comfy beds with quality bed linen, good shower and delightful lounge looking over the beautiful garden. Would have liked to have walked to the old town and seafront but the weather was too bad unfortunately. A short drive takes you to the front and the quaint old town with an array of antique shops, restaurants and coffee shops.

Great location and hosts

Beautiful space, perfect as a base to explore the area. Garden is immaculate and with a lovely veranda area to sit outside. Clare and Andrew were welcoming and helpful. Well stocked kitchen with all the utensils you may need and also some condiments. Lovely bathroom with a great power shower and plenty of hot water. Bed was really comfortable. Lots of local information leaflets and games (plus Lego) to keep all ages entertained if the weather is not kind.

Lovely house with garden

Warm welcome we received from Clare and Andrew. Absolute lovely people to talk to. Clare helped us for our trip and informed us with a perfect kids walk up to the east cliff. House is perfect for a family (we have 3 kids). We could use the garden and had breakfast there in the sunny morning. We absolutely enjoyed this garden! Easy walk to the Hastings center.
