Centrally located 5 minutes walk from the town centre, Forgan Cottage has the charm of an historic cottage with all modern comforts. The cottage was built circa 1896 by the Forgan family who in the late 1800s were one of the leading golf club manufacturers based in St Andrews. The cottage was modernised in 2012 and has recently undergone major refurbishment in 2022 with new basement utility area, new decor, furnishings and flooring in all the bedrooms, and new flooring throughout the rest of the cottage. The bright living/dining area looks out onto the back garden and the path along the Kinness Burn can be accessed through the rear garden gate. All bedrooms have superking size beds, and can all be converted to twin beds. The large centrally heated basement has been fully modernised with new units and flooring this year. There is a new washing machine, tumble dryer, additional integrated fridge and freezer, wine chiller fridge and specially designed space for your dog. There is also ample space to store bikes and golf clubs.

This was a lovey place, perfect location. Host had a little care package to start us off with, which you do not find in most places. We would stay again.
This house is absolutely perfect. It is beautifully appointed and a quick walk to old town without being in the middle of the noise. The owners were pleasant and accommodating. We hope to come back for another stay.
Our stay at the Forgan Cottage was absolutely perfect. Perfectly situated in the middle of St Andrews, the cottage was super cosy, clean and welcoming. Communication with the host was very timely and helpful. I highly recommend the Forgan Cottage for your next stay in St Andrews and hope to be back myself in the future.
We took a couples trip to the area, and this place was perfect! Has everything you need. Prompt response from the owner on any and all questions. Very clean and great location! Highly recommend!
This was a lovely house to stay in. It was very clean, the location was great and the communication with the owners was excellent. They had a nice book with places to eat and sightseeing recommendations. I would stay there again and will be recommending this to anyone I know that will be traveling to St. Andrews.

The location is amazing for walking into St Andrew’s. Comfy beds, lovely linens and towels, sweet arrival bag and the host is spotOn in replying to questions. Love this cottage. Repeat visitor.
We really enjoyed our stay. Comfortable and close to everything. Well equipped for our needs. Patricia, the owner is wonderful and very responsive. Highly recommend.
Beautiful property, well looked after, very clean and in an excellent location for town, beaches and golf courses. The owner is very helpful and communication was straight forward.
We loved the property. Perfect for our group of 4 adults who were on a golfing holiday. The walk to the courses in St Andrews were reasonable and we were close to all the shops and restaurants on Market and North Street. Adequate parking and seamless checkin/checkout process. Would strongly recommend
We had a lovely time. The house is great and so is it's location. We walked and ran along the Kinnessburn to the sea and along Lade Braes. Highly recommend.
Short stay in St. Andrews to visit family and could not have been happier with Forgan Cottage. Lovely interior, well stocked and close to walk to town. Would absolutely stay there again. A+

About the host
Hosted by Patricia Graham
We bought the cottage because our son and daughter both studied at St Andrews University and the town is a lovely place for either a day trip or a few nights stay as it is not too far from where we live in Glasgow.
Why they chose this property
My son and I looked at several properties but Forgan Cottage had a nice atmosphere and we could see it had potential to be a fabulous holiday home and place for him to stay when he was studying. It is only a very short walk from the town centre but also has plenty of free parking outside. It is centrally located for either the West or East sands which was important as we have 3 dogs.
What makes this property unique
We have fully refurbished the cottage and it is extremely comfortable either in summer or winter. New central heating and continuous hot water make it a cosy place to stay even in the depths of winter. The garden at the back which has just been newly landscaped in 2019 looks onto the Kinness Burn which is a lovely feature in the summer. We love spending time in the cottage as it has an extremely relaxing feel to it.
