Jubilee House has a rich grain of history dating back to the 1830’s as part of the old Alnwick coach works but now offers a very good standard of accommodation, sleeping up to four within a boutique hotel finish, whilst still providing that homely feel. It is perfect for short romantic breaks or a week’s bolt hole to explore all of Northumberland’s coast, castles and countryside.
Alnwick is a popular tourist destination and offers a wide range of facilities, all within distance of Jubilee House, including independent shops, restaurants and a wide variety of pubs. Visitors will enjoy a trip to Alnwick Castle, renowned for being the film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts. Alnwick Gardens with its grand cascade waterfall and tree house restaurant is also well worth a visit. Heading west brings you to the small picturesque town of Rothbury which sits nestled at the bottom of the Simonside and Lordenshaw Hills. This is a beautiful place for walkers and cyclists. The National Trust property of Cragside is popular with visitors. Also close by you can explore the beautiful 20-mile stretch of Heritage Coastline, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, as well as the wild and lonely expanses of the heather-capped Cheviot Hills.
