Superb location and lovely house. Even to wet list power on Halloween night for an hour it added to the fun. Andy the owner went above and beyond to help.

Great place to stay.
Great place to stay. Pictures on line do not do it justice (loch and summer isles seen from front windows and An Teilach from the rear. It is remote, part of the attraction, Ullapool 40 mins drive away is really nearest convenience (hotel down the road In Dundonnell never seemed to be open) For reasonable sized supermarket and a few nice cafes. There is a post office / shop 6 miles away but with limited opening times, not really a convenience store in a useful way.
Middies not too bad it on odd still damp day they congregated In morning and evening ( perhaps expected in Scotland!)
There is a track Down through a field and the woods to the loch, which is grassy in places and rocky in others. Last 10 feet down to loch are steep but worth it.
Loch is great and was calm enough most of the time for Paddleboarding. But it’s a sea loch, this year plenty of jelly fish put us off from swimming in it. so we spent most of time canoeing. There is a sea cave about 1.5 miles up the coast to visit, the village on the other side etc.
Great beach in Gruinyard bay 4 miles away which we visited many times, handy path up to some waterfalls from there.
Did some mountain biking but this Is a raw landscape and involved quite a lot of hiker biking to make a circular loop. Great location for walking (up mountains) and road biking, roads quiet and drivers very considerate as on north coast 500 route.

The most beauiful place we have ever stayed.
The most beauiful place we have ever stayed. House was perfect and the location was absolutely stunning! Perfect place to go if you want to get away from everything, it is very remote, but that's what makes it so fantastic. Every window has a stunning view, from snow covered mountain's to the peaceful loch and an abundance of wildlife, from deer coming into the garden to eagles flying overhead.
Local beaches are great. This part of scotland is breathtakingly beautiful.
Owner Andy went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. This house is beauiful and has everything you need. Games room was the favourite part of the holiday for the kids and the grown ups! Only bad part was leaving, can't wait to go back

Beautiful cottage in a idyllic location with stunning views.
Beautiful cottage in a idyllic location with stunning views. WiFi has a monthly limit which must have been exceeded by previous occupants, so we were without internet access. But we go away to escape the from mobile phone calls and emails, so a frustration more than a problem. An ideal balance between the remoteness, peace and quiet, combined with the comfort and homeliness of a modern well equipped property.

A perfect house and location to get away from it all.
A perfect house and location to get away from it all. We are farmers so being out in the quiet is not unusual and is in fact welcomed .
It doesn't matter which way you look whatever the weather it is stunning from every window !
Thank you for the welcome basket ! The house has everything you need so you really don't need to bring anything for the kitchen or for cooking .
The teens loved it and the few days the wifi was not working it got them off their phones and doing stuff together..the Games room was much used as were the games during inclement weather . There's loads of space for everyone and it's very comfortable all round.
Fishing off the pier further down the road was great . The red deer are so docile , I couldn't believe it when my working collie stood ten feet away from a young hind wondering whether to " work" it or not .
We met local crofters while they gathered in their small flock of sheep for shearing , causing me much amusement as they proceeded to drink their way through it and have themselves a 3 man Ceilidh by the end in the dusk. Brilliant !
If you venture to Ullapool for food , we recommend "the ceilidh place "great food and service , affordable ! And a brilliant bookshop within you can browse while you wait for food or after.
Visit Rhue art gallery if you like contemporary landscape , it's a real treat. It's North of Ullapool.
For a great family house and with loads to do without leaving the place ..I'd recommend it !

Beautiful house in a stunning location but very remote.
Beautiful house in a stunning location but very remote. We came for a peaceful and quiet week away and were not disappointed but the weather was very disappointing with heavy rain and fog spoiling the views and making outdoor persuits very difficult. The house did have a games room which was a thoughtful and well used addition during our stay but we were disappointed at the wood burner stove being out of use and several lights not working. Perhaps a few spare lightbulbs would be a good idea. The toilet seat in the en suite was loose and didn’t feel safe but these are minor issues that could be checked between guest stays. Otherwise we loved our stay and found the house very comfortable, beautifully furnished and well thought out catering for guests every need
