Summary of Susanna & Andrea Home next to Montevarchi

First of all, the welcome of Susanna & Andrea in Montevarchi was very pleasant and the led us to the house (which is nearly impossible to find at the first time), where they had already prepared some food and beverage - great after severel hour drive! The house itself has got all the described amenities and is well kept. On the one hand, it is very well suited just to relax and enjoy the warm summer sun with the pool and a nice abrbecue in the evening. On the other hand, it is a very good starting point to explore the Tuscan countryside with its beauty itself and its famous and well known towns/villages, like Firenze, Siena, Montepulcano, and so on. All in all a great recommendation and all the best to Susanna & Andrea! Regards, Christian and family

Restful Hilltop House

Our 10-day mid-October 2022 stay at Susanna & Andrea's hilltop home was entirely consistent with the experiences of other 5-star reviewers, with one exception: the web photos do not fully illustrate the scale of the building, the land surrounding it, or the 180° views of this part of Tuscany. You simply need to see them. This family of hosts (including sister Elisabetta and father Giancarlo) has found, in hosting travelers to their property, at least one of their callings: super hosts of English-speakers. They are generous, nurturing, and funny people with whom we enjoyed every interaction. Advice to future visitors: (1) make sure to avail yourselves of Susanna's offer to guide you to the site, otherwise you'll likely get lost the first time (after that curated drive, we had no subsequent confusion); (2) continue to use the "southerly" route from town to house (by way of Localita Ventena and via Moncioni) rather than the "northerly" route (by way of via di Poggio S. Marco and via Chiantigiana) unless you have rented a serious 4W drive vehicle w/ high ground clearance. We look forward to staying at this property again someday.

5 star property and location!

We can’t thank Susanna and her family enough for the privilege of staying at this incredible property! We had a wonderful two weeks mainly relaxing on the terrace, by the pool or in the extensive and carefully cared for garden and grounds. The views from this property are beyond stunning, looking down a long expansive valley, watching the sun dip behind the mountains each evening, and the property has been designed to allow you to almost constantly enjoy the views - even while cooking in the well equipped kitchen! The pool is an absolute delight - also allowing you to fully enjoy the view! The property itself is very comfortably furnished and air conditioned - partIcularly welcomed as the temperature rose to nearly 40 - with plenty of fresh linens. And the family made us extremely welcome with welcome gifts of food and wine and deliveries of pastries, home made sauce (the best we’ve ever tasted) and fresh figs picked from the gardens during our stay. We mainly self catered using the Coop in Montevarchi as well as the excellent macelleria and pasticceria in Pestello, a few minutes drive down towards Montevarchi, though Susanna was very helpful with restaurant recommendations nearby as well as in Florence where we stayed for a couple of days. For something a bit different try nearby L’Altroieri which we really enjoyed. From this property you can visit a number of well known places. We enjoyed driving down through the Chianti villages from Florence and a day trip to Siena.

A hidden treasure to relax and calm down

It is very hard to describe the perfect spot, the place where you feel welcome and home immediately. For us it has been this little paradise. The breathtaking view, the quiet surrounding and calming chirping out of the olive trees has been one of our biggest treasures ever. A hot cup of morning coffee to welcome the day while relaxing on the beautiful terrace, being warmed by the late afternoon sun at the pool or being inspired by the colors of a late evening sunset - in every moment we felt the love and passion put into this dream. We enjoyed every day, every minute, every second and would love to be back soon.

Séjour en Toscane dans le Valdarno

Nous recommandons fortement cette location si vous souhaitez passer des vacances au calme, dans une nature luxuriante, au cœur d'une très belle oliveraie. Il y a énormément de promenades à faire en partant à pieds depuis la maison. En voiture, les principales villes toscanes sont aisément accessibles (Florence, Arezzo, Sienne, Pienza, Montepulciano...). La maison, ses équipements, son mobilier sont d'une grande qualité, esthétique comme pratique - amateurs d'architecture et de design vous serez comblés! Les propriétaires font le maximum pour que le séjour se déroule au mieux et avec tout ce dont vous aurez besoin. Le service d'entretien régulier de la piscine est notamment à relever. Bref, un séjour luxe, calme et volupté!

Paradise is real

This Home is fantastic on the top of hill, you can see a beautiful view on Tuscany landcape. Very quiet, peacefull, beautiful, you can appreciate a natural way of life with fruit trees. The Home corresponds to the photos, very nice and usefully. The owners are very kind and provide numerous and helpfull advices. They give you welcome gifts and provide some Feed for your arrival, very nice and pratice. The Home are located at 45-60' of majors cities and villages on the hearth of typically Tuscany. We strongly recommand you this Home for yours vacations.

Treasure on a Tuscan hill!

Paradise exists... We were hoping for a nice stay but our experience exceeded all expectations! Susanna guided us from booking to check out with a dedication I've rarely experienced. We were welcomed with the kind of warmth and friendliness that instantly puts you in positive holiday mode. The place is perfect! What a view. All the secret corners together with numerous olive and fruit trees, add to the charm. The house is great and airconditioned - a necessity in the summer heat! Great location in view of city trips to Arezzo, Firenze, Sienna,... . We can only recommend this property to anyone looking for a magical location with superb swimming pool and top owners whom you can count on. We'll be back - no doubt!
