Beautiful 1800 square foot Mid Century Home

My 1967 vintage Mid Century home is a one level gem set at the end of a cup-de-sac and quiet city easement. If you want to feel warm sand under your feet or swim with the fish in the Gulf of Mexico, our private neighbourhood beach is a three minute walk away. Golden Beach Community Beach has the most stunning sunsets in all of Florida! When you return, shower off the white sand in the outdoor shower and settle down in the cool back yard with a good book. Share the backyard with songbirds and cicadas, enjoy the scent of hibiscus and rose, shaded by mature acorn trees.
I think you will enjoy the recently refinished Mid Century decor and cool furniture. Spotless terrazzo flooring combined with a fresh paint scheme on the walls, updated for modern life.
The stylish master bedroom has a full bath, large flat screen TV, and more closet space than two can use. Enjoy strolling directly from your bedroom to the garden through the lanai.
The kitchen may look charmingly Retro, with its well maintained period stove, but the modern fridge, dishwasher and microwave make entertaining easy. The dining room opens into the lanai to bring the outdoors in.
Family and extra guests can use the second bathroom and the queen hide-a-bed in the family room. A second full bathroom and ample closets allows everyone plenty of space to themselves. The house has all the towels, bedding and kitchen utensils needed for six people including large beach towels with a beach bag. There is a propane bbq with cooking utensils.
At the end of the day, everyone can enjoy a movie together on the 50 inch HD TV with bluetooth surround sound in the family room. The family room has a fax machine and there is high speed internet with WiFi throughout the house. The TV service is high speed FiberOp.
There is a private back yard which borders on an undeveloped, tree-lined city easement. There are loungers and patio chairs. Stored in the garage are several beach chairs and a beach umbrella. There are beach toys for children.
The expansive single car garage houses a new washer and dryer. Extra cars may park on the wide paved driveway, and there is also street parking.

Venice Stay

We had a wonderful stay in Venice. Jim’s property was in a great location for enjoying all that Venice has to offer. Easy access to the beach, downtown Venice, and bike trails. It was just two of us, but the house was spacious and would easily accommodate a family. Jim was a good host. He was easy to communicate with and his property provided all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.

Venice island fun

The location was perfect & there was plenty of room. We walked to downtown Venice & to Sharky’s & to dog beach. (About a mile to each) The place is old but was decorated pretty cute. Also was located at the end of a dead end street so that was nice. There were some pesky ants but we got those under control. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Venice.

We highly recommend this property and thoroughly enjoyed our two-month stay. Located in Golden Beach, this late 60s style ranch home is convenient to Venice Avenue, and many restaurants. It also has deeded-access to a nearby neighborhood beach The owner has furnished and decorated this home period perfect. It is charming and roomy. When we arrived, the home was well-stocked with the basics, so we didn’t have to immediately run to the store (a much appreciated and often overlooked amenity). All the appliances and furnishings were in good condition and the owner even allowed us to use their bicycles. In addition to two-bedrooms, two-baths, kitchen and living room, the home has a large room, located off a screened-lanai that served as our TV, card playing, reading room. This home was a very nice place to rent for an extended stay in Venice, Florida.

Mid century Venice

Wonderful location and really liked Venice. The Lanai was great and the property was very well equiped. We had some issues with the plumbing drains, but owner addressed it quickly.

Nicely appointed private home for extended stay

My wife and I rented this home for a couple of months in the winter. It was well appointed and stocked with the essential items. Very comfortable and in a good neighborhood. Very close to Golden Beach with great restaurants nearby. Has been recently renovated. I highly recommend it.
