This delightful little holiday property is on the first floor of the South Snowdon Wharf development, adjacent to the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway’s Harbour Station. With glorious views out over the sparkling waters of the ever changing tidal Glaslyn Estuary across to Harlech Castle, this makes a great base from which to explore the area. There’s a lovely balcony where you can relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the splendid view. The famous Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway station is only 100yds away from where you can enjoy a leisurely ride on a steam hauled train on the picturesque journey to either Blaenau Ffestiniog, or Beddgelert and Caernarfon, and where there is also free Wi-Fi. Discounted weekly runabout tickets on the Ffestiniog Railway may be available from the owner of this property. Close by at Morfa Bychan is the wonderful sandy beach of Black Rock Sands, whilst the quirky Italianate village of Portmeirion is just across the estuary, and the castles at Harlech and Criccieth are both just a short drive away. Beach 2 miles. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

Stunning views from the balcony.

Stunning views from the balcony. This accomodation had everything we could possibly need. The bed was really comfy and the flat was well equipped. On our arrival there was milk, tea and coffee, plus some lovely tea cakes and a loaf of bala brith, oh and a block of butter. The owner couldnt do more to make our stay lovely. The kitchen was really well equipped, and there was even a small thermos flask that we used often. Bedroom had plenty of storage and the bed was really comfy. Bathroom had an electric shower over the bath. Flat was well decorated and cozy with all the lamps. We were a short 20 min drive into snowdonia and snowdon, and a 50 min bus ride to carnarfon. So much to see and do nearby. My partner is a key worker and this flat, porthmadog and snowdonia, was the perfect escape for a relaxing stress free holiday.
