Nice little cottage with a lovely garden
The house ist really beautifull and spacey. It was clean and well equipped, there could just be a few more plates and glasses. I highly recommend the house.

Beautiful location
This cottage isn’t at the luxury end and the decor could be updated, but it is clean, quiet and comfortable. The owner was helpful when we couldn’t work out the front door lock (our fault). The garden is beautiful and the village is picture-perfect and only a few minutes’ drive from Burford.

BEAUTIFUL - counting the days until we return
This house is a dream. There was plenty of room for our family of 5, and the kitchen and back garden are glorious. The house is just a quick drive into town, but is a lovely escape from the bustle and tourists. We can't wait to come back.

Lovely peaceful property. We either sat in the sun room/ kitchen or in the garden. We visited Hidcote Manor and Chedstow Roman Villa - both places within easy reach. One night we got a takeaway from the Indian restaurant in Burford. Delicious. Certainly a place to return to.

Lovely cottage, good location
Betty’s cottage was a good base for our family Cotswold holiday. The accommodation is a good size for a family group of six and the property is just a five minute drive from pretty Burford, where there is a spacious free car park. The front living room is a very cosy and sociable area, but the most impressive feature of the cottage is the modern kitchen extension with a beautiful view out on to the garden. The bedrooms and beds are very comfortable and the bathroom and showers are excellent. The main issue we had was the check in process: neither Vrbo nor the owner had bothered to inform us that the keys were in a digital key box at the front door, nor of the entry code. This meant wasted time waiting, and a phone call to the owner that we would rather not have had to make. The directions to the property from Buford we were given were over-complicated and inaccurate, and we had a little difficulty locating the property. These directions should be rewritten. We did feel that a few kitchen basics were lacking, e.g. no Tupperware, foil, minimal plastic bags and dishwasher blobs, but these things were relatively minor. There was only one set of crockery per person which meant there was a constant need to wash up by hand. We also felt the Vrbo website did not offer us as much detail on the property as we would have liked, compared to other letting companies we have used in the past. Overall, however, our stay was comfortable and very enjoyable.
