Welcome to Las Palmas Villa. A private secure gated community along the Caribbean sea away from bars and busy, loud restaurants.
This condo is within 8 minutes of the Combate Beach restaurants and 15 minutes from the Boqueron beach seaside night life as well as just minutes away from Playuela beach at the lighthouse. Enjoy the calm Azure shades of the Caribbean's turquoise water that surrounds this Luxury seaside condo as you hike the trails right here within the nature preserve. This condo is peaceful, tranquil and remote. It sits in the middle of a nature reserve along the CaribbeanSea, on the Peninsula located at the extreme southwest corner of Puerto Rico. A grocery store and bakery/restaurant called "Ritamar" is only a 5 minute drive north of the condo. Other restaurants are 3 minutes away from Ritamar, in Combate Beach, along the sea.
FREE kayaking for up to 4 people at once, the calm bay is right here, only 40 feet away from the Condo building on the west side and 200 feet away on the east side of the condo.
NEW 55 inch smart TV in the living room with premium streaming channels..
Two master suites both with queen beds and two Bathrooms with walk in showers. The interior is Tastefully decorated by C. D. Slone Interior / Designer. Complete with Local and imported artwork and furniture from around the world. Puerto Rico, Bali, Indonesia, Thailand, Hawaii, France, Greece, Italy, Spain, England and living room furniture from Nicaragua.
You will appreciate the fully functioning kitchen with all the cooking amenities, utensils, appliances, crockpot, rice cooker, air cooker, cookbooks and cookware. Cheese knives, steak knives, butcher block. Be creative with local traditional dishes. You will find an expansive book library along with dozens of streaming channels on the TV.
Marvel at the ever changing colors that you see through the windows. The Caribbean offers every shade of blue and turquoise, along with pink, yellow and red from the local salt flats. Las Palmas Villa offers everything you need for comfort, relaxation and adventure.
We also offer 4 Kayaks for people, one of the kayaks hold 2 people the other 2 kayaks is a single person kayak. There is also a child size kayak with life vests for your unlimited use exclusively for those that stay at our Luxury Condo. The two Jacuzzis are not hot tubs. The jacuzzi water vents recycled pool water.
Every morning, from your bed, you will marvel at the sunrise view over the Caribbean to the east and then witness spectacular ocean sunsets to the west in the evening from your private balcony, pool area or Livingroom and Kitchen while eating dinner. Enjoy the breezes flowing the rooms.

You are close to everything . Previous guests have damaged Kayaks in the past by not properly transporting them in a safe manner. This has caused us to replace two of the kayaks.

If you have young children, Please check the cabinets in the kitchen, halls and bathrooms to make sure cleaning supplies, and other harmful substances are not within their reach.
Feel free to place such items in other locations they can't have access to.

I’ll just give you the run down our how our experience was; Good; -Home was nice; likes the additionally utensils, and such-It seemed homey-Host did communicate about AC issueBad; -No “Hot” tub (it was listed in the amenities time of listing) -pool was dirty, bugs, leaves, iguana poo-AC was broken; was not fixed in time communicated -Places around the condo in the pictures do not look like the pictures in the listing, which was disappointing Conclusion - We left after 2 of about 6-7days. We were not compensated even though we communicated with host about our problems. And saved them money from us not being there. I wish there would be a better way for the host to double check things before having people arrive, and the listing would be updated.

Great condo away from tourist spots

The stay at this condo was great. Everything was provided that you would need for your stay. Shower towels, beach towels, kayaks, life jackets, paddles, dishes, kitchen accessories, board games, and more. There is a nice pool on site, easy access to the water for kayaking, super close to a lighthouse, and great restaurants nearby. The breeze flows throughout the entire unit so no AC is needed. There is AC, but it wasn't needed.

A great spot for a relaxing getaway

I absolutely love this place and had the best stay. The condo has everything you could need for a beach day or kayaking thr Caribbean. I enjoyed sunrise from the main bedroom every morning, and sunsets from the balcony. The pool is very well kept and very enjoyable. I felt completely safe at all times, and the proximity to town is just right. The owner was a great communicator and answered all my questions very quickly. I cannot wait to come back to PR!

Comfortable and well stocked

We enjoyed our stay at this cute little condo. The place was clean, beds were comfy, and the kitchen well-stocked. During the day with temps in the mid-80s we opened the shutters and had a nice crossbreeze through the unit so didn't even need the A/C (a window unit in each bedroom, not central air) except at night. It is an easy drive to Combate and Boqueron. There are plenty of beach chairs and towels, as well as a large cooler to take to the beach. We didn't get a chance to use the kayaks, hopefully next time.

The condo was lovely, extremely well stocked and felt like home. The beds were extremely comfortable and the ac made for good sleep. Everything in the condo seemed new (acception - the tv didn't work and there is no internet). We enjoyed the peace and quiet, kayaked the bay, swam in the pool, and hiked the lighthouse cliffs. Very relaxing watching the birds and iguanas in the palm trees! The only downside is the adjacent lagoon and salt flats provide a stagnant odor that can be over whelming when the breeze dies down.

My Family Vacation

I stood in the condo for 10 days this place is absolutely wonderful. Condo had everything we needed from toilet paper, rice cooker, coffee maker, washing machine, even floaties for the kiddos!! so well stocked very pleased with my stay. The condo is so homie. The only thing in the morning there was a smell not to pleasant i guess from the beach but it did not last all day only in the am. I picked this location cause it was close to everything I wanted to do from the faro which we visited beautiful so worth the hike I tell you we went to playuela, combate, boqueron everything was so close to the condo we had amazing time.

Fantastic condo in a magnificent location

This condo had all the amenities one could need, including tons of outdoor and beach-related conveniences. Lots of little details - from the decor and artwork to the kitchen staples - made it feel like a home rather than merely a bare rental. The four-poster bed was extremely comfortable, with a view of the sunrise every morning. It never felt hot inside - one could always get as much of a breeze going through the apartment as one wanted. The pool was incredible; the grounds were impeccably clean (and the area felt very safe); and one is surrounded by some of the best sights in Puerto Rico (e.g. Playuella and El Faro are just over a mile away; Combate beach only a few minutes). The TV didn't work while we were there, but we didn't mind - it was nice to be away from all media for a few days. Highly recommended!

Unique Exceptional!

Are you adventurous? This is a luxurious condo with so many amenities. My husband, teenage daughter and myself hiked to Los Morollis Lighthouse, swam in the Caribbean Sea and spent our evenings in comfortable beds with the winds blowing through the entire condo without the need for A/C!! We read Greg’s informative guide book and went to dinner at Annie’s place, just a hop skip away. We found what are hikers dream destinations, and throughly enjoyed the perfectly maintained grounds and beautiful gardens of the safe gated facility. The stunning photography on the walls of unit and quality of the furnishings made us feel like we were truly living a Carribean experience! Highly recommend this beautiful place with views of the surrounding Sea and unique salt flats. What an incredible place. Thank you Greg for being responsive with suggestions and sharing your home. We will return soon.

Great Property

After vacationing twice on the north east side of the island we decided to visit the south west side. The property is as advertised and is away from all of the hustle and bustle. Greg was very responsive and even reported a power outage when I messaged him at 730 in the morning. The condo has everything you need for cooking and even has beach floaties. Very quiet property with a great pool. We found that closest beach to the condo wasn't ideal for swimming, but we did kayak there and find a ton of conch shells and saw some pretty big tarpon. Playuela and Combate Beaches are amazing places to visit and aren't too far from the condo. The Salt Flats can put off an unpleasant smell from time to time, but you get used to it. Overall it's a great property to stay at as long as you don't mind a little drive to get to things.

A simple condo near a lovely point

Cabo Rojo is very nearby, with beautiful walks to an old lighthouse and a beautiful beach in a cove, protected by two points. The water was easily calm enough for kids and for long swims. The road out to the point is rough, but passable. The condo is somewhat overfilled with furniture and knick knacks, but certainly has what you need -- except internet, which somewhat unfortunately we needed. When we booked, the listing said it had Wifi, and when we texted to ask about it, we got no response. Then we found the on-site guidebook, which explained that internet cabling did not extend that far out Cabo Rojo. So, no internet available other than somewhat iffy cell service. Listing definitely needs to be fixed.

Quiet condo - feels secluded but not far from conveniences

We were very happy with our stay. This 3rd floor condo is located in a complex that has immaculate grounds keeping and swimming pools. During the week it felt like we had the entire complex to ourselves, as the parking lots were completely empty. On the weekend they filled up some but still only one other condo in our building was occupied. The AC worked great and we loved waking to the sound of the birds in the morning. The salt flats didn’t smell as bad to us as others have mentioned… it was a cross between ocean and mineral hot springs. I wouldn’t let it impact your decision to stay here. All of the amenities were fantastic, and we even got to hunt for conch shells near the property. The guidebook made great recommendations about things to do in nearby Combate Beach and Boqueron, and both towns were completely fun and friendly and had a great vibe, but we were thankful to retreat at night to this quiet condo. Had a couple questions arise during the trip and the host responded quickly. Great place, highly recommend, would stay again!

Secluded Spot but not quite my preference

There were many pros and cons for this property, which for the most part are my own personal opinion. I think this property would be wonderful for some people. While we enjoyed ourselves, we will most likely not return (especially with the 3 night minimum stay). Pros: very private area and secluded, good distance from the lighthouse and beach which were both wonderful, wifi and tv were nice amenities, close to Boqueron which was fun. Cons: house felt too homey and cluttered for my taste, pictures are very accurate so I knew what we were getting, we chose location over accommodation. Some kitchen dishes were dirty, had to scrub the grease off dinner pans and the kettle. Grounds were clean except the pool which was disappointing since that was a selling point. Lots of iguana poo around pool (since they lay there during day) and overall pool water was a little too dirty for my taste. I also thought the process of getting the key mailed to me and then mailing it back is cumbersome and not a cost i was anticipating. I am not sure if it states that process on the listing.

Very nice property with a couple of glitches

I submitted a review a while back, but apparently it didn't go through. As most have said the condo is very well equipped and quite nice. The area has a safe feel and very close to many options, Mayaquez(shopping), Joyuda(seafood), Boqueron(Best beach we saw, La Playella was overrun with seaweed). Food at virtually everywhere was great. One of the AC's didn't work, which made for a hot trip, nor did the TV(I notice a recent review said it still doesn't). Greg was prompt and nice to deal with and gave good tips. Here are the things I wish I didn't have to say, but wish we had known before we went. The beach in front of the property was unusable while we were there due to deep silt that would cause you to sink to your knees at times (maybe left over from the hurricane?), and the seaweed behind the property smells incredibly bad as someone else mentioned. The wind blows from that direction constantly so you can't get away from it. These are things that Greg has no control over and that's a shame. We loved our trip and the island overall, but it's a shame the people or government don't take more pride in their beautiful island. Even the tourist heavy areas were unkept. A little time and effort to clean up the trash and seaweed would make a tremendous difference. As I said, Greg was great, but he could institute a better system of making sure the high priority electronics are in working condition before renters show up (AC's & TV for example).

Great location close to everything and more. Area Has numerous beaches, options, safe, gated, great community. Apartment full equipped. Great quality of appliances and items. Make sure you bring quarters for laundry $3 per load wash and dry. Overall cleanliness was ok. We removed the rugs during our stay As our kids are highly allergic and seems to need some steam cleaning. No hassle to do so and put them back before we left. Te apartment is fully stocked and ready to use. Kayaks available for 3 people. Really great experience. Greg was an awesome host. Thanks!!

Beautiful apartment. Great apartment with nice pool and a beach to use the nice kayaks that they provide. My family loved to use the kayak and was able to enjoy the pool. Tv wasn’t the best but we enjoyed the outside and all the amenities it provided other than the tv. Air conditioner in the guest room didn’t work as well because it shut off in the middle of the night and it didn’t let people that slept in the room to have a good night. It should be an easy fix.

My family and I have traveled the world over the past 28 years. Multiple trips to Europe, Canada, All over the USA coast to coast, Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico The Caribbean and Mediterranean Seas.
In 2014 we visited Puerto Rico and immediately fell in love with the Beauty of the land and the Caribbean sea. The residents are friendly and full of Joy. After two more extended trips around the island, It was clear to us that the Cabo Rojo area provided everything we were looking for in a home located in the Caribbean.
We were blessed to have our dream come true. The dream of having a home in such a beautiful and amazing location. Our villa is not your typical Pay for Stay rental unit. It is our full functioning home providing all comfort and amenities that are not usually found in your Profit oriented, bare bones, investor's properties.
We are sharing our home with you because our professions are not in Cabo Rojo. It is our wish to share this amazing home with you in hopes that you also will love it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We chose Cabo Rojo because of the rolling hills, Mountain views and the beautiful calm turquoise water. The people in the area are full of life and joy and are very friendly. We love the convenience of nearby shopping, sea side restaurants, friendly local drinking establishments with weekend live music and other entertainment. We have made great friends everywhere we have gone.
We hope that when you visit the beaches, restaurants, etc...You will enjoy the life of the island and it's people. Get acquainted with your neighboring companions to make new friends enjoy the culture and have a great experience.

What makes this property unique

Our Home, Las Palmas Villa, is part of Playas del Caribe. The closest residence to world renowned Playuella Beach.( Travel + Leisure Magazine's top 10 beaches) Known for the beautiful turquoise water and soft white sand beach offering spectacular views of historic El Farro light house, perched high on a cliff overlooking the beach and the seaside cliffs that open up to the Caribbean. Other local unique beaches are between 8 to 20 minutes away. El Combate, Boquerón, Buye' , La Parguera, and the Bioluminescent Bay are just to name a few.
We also love Kayaking directly through the mangroves and to isolated private beaches is easy when all you have to do is unlock the kayaks, place them through the gate only a few feet away, and into the sea.
The Caribbean sea is only about 80 feet away from our front door.
Pristine clear turquoise calm water is great for snorkeling, fishing or just floating on the kayak and watching all the tropical sea life.
Over 1800 acres of natural; reserve land surrounds Las Palmas Villa. Perfect for hiking, biking and exploring. Salt flats, mangroves, ocean side cliffs, The light house and world renowned Playuella Beach is only 4 minutes from our Villa.
We also love the amazing pool area featuring 4 levels of cascading water and 2 (12) person Jacuzzis. the pool is surrounded with cabanas, picnic areas. and circular sun decks making it great for tanning. There are pool side restroom facilities and also outdoor showers for convenience. You can find shade in one of the sea side cabanas or one of the many types of beautiful palm trees, Plumeria, or Red flamboyant trees to name a few.
The gated community is safe and secure. Residents have remotes for the electronic entry. Our parking is located next to our building. Which makes it convenient while bringing in Luggage, groceries, beach chairs, etc....
