About this property
Delightful New Forest cottage with hot tub and direct forest access, sleeps 8
A lovely 3 bedroom & 3 bathroom cottage [sleeps up to 8] perfectly positioned for exploring the New Forest National Park.
Situated in the village of Godshill, with a convenience store a few hundred yards away and the local pub just 5 minutes walk, this former farmhouse is full of charm but also packed with 21st century conveniences, with a range cooker, double door F/F with ice maker, Sky TV and log burners in both the lounge and dining room.
The dining room also has a large rustic table with seating for 8.
Outside there is a lovely south-east facing patio complete with hot tub and a large gas BBQ and at the side of the property there is a fire pit to keep you warm on those clear evenings while you stargaze and marvel at how little light pollution there is in this beautiful part of southern England.
Adjacent to the property is a footpath leading directly to the open forest and there is also bicycle hire and an equestrian centre in the village.
The New Forest Water Park is about 10 minutes away in the car and there is a water skiing lake at Ellingham, around a 15 minute drive.
As well as the pub 5 minutes walk up the road, there are a number of beautiful country pubs within a 15-20 minute drive, a couple of which are walkable in around an hour.
Please note that the cottage was built in the 1800’s and the stairs are steep so may be tricky for young children or those physically challenged.
Meanwhile, the door frames and the stairwell are of limited height - around 170cm/5’6” - so please bear that in mind when booking.
I first made the cottage available for holiday hires in 2020 on another site but enjoyed it myself last year and am listing it now with availability for the summer from the end of April, hopefully I'll have some nice reviews soon!
Finally, we are happy for you to bring dogs, but please notify us in advance and animals are strictly downstairs only and NOT in the bedrooms. THANKS.
