A good cottage in a lovely position.
A good cottage in a lovely position. We arrived and got the keys OK, cottage was lovely and clean. A few points to note. The garden is enclosed but our dogs jumped the wall within about 10 minutes so not one you can leave your dogs in unattended. The kitchen is a lovely size but quite poorly equipped as regards cooking implements and saucepans, there were only 3 of us and we struggled to cook a meal due to a lack of implements. For instance no fish slice, so no fried eggs! No bins in the bathrooms which wasn't ideal. That being said, the position makes up for a lot! There is a walk just down from the cottage that takes you into open fields and down to a very secluded little cove. It's quite steep though so not for the faint hearted. If you fancy going a bit further you can follow the coastal walk which is beautiful and (I believe) goes all the way to Ventnor. We had an issue with the TV losing the picture which meant we couldn't watch it but it was very much to do with the weather. Sophie was proactive when I contacted her and I think this is now sorted. Overall a lovely break, a good cottage but could be better with a bit of tlc and thought.
