An apartment in the nerve center of the City, for four (available to accommodate child per request) , with Rialto Bridge and boating views and its own small terrace/balcony directly on the Grand Canal - yet moments to Campo Santi Apostoli, the jewel-box Church of Santa Maria Dei Miracoli and the alleged birthplace of legendary Venetian explorer Marco Polo (1254 - 1324).
Gently nudging the fairytale archways of the hidden little 'Campiello Del Remer' courtyard just across the water from the world-renowned Rialto Market area and the broad outside dining terraces of convivial and cosmopolitan wine bar/restaurant "Narzaria" and the well-loved and traditional 'Bancogiro' on the opposite bank, Ca' Giulia offers light, bright and airy accommodation charmingly decorated with a hint of 20's nostalgia and the indelible stamp of style and great taste - irresistible!
There's a spacious and elegant sitting room flooded with natural light from the large, beautiful and intricately screened windows and arched glazed water door overlooking the Rialto Bridge and the ever-changing spectacle of water-borne activity along the canal. Enormously comfortable and featuring ornithological prints set against walls and furnishings of soothing 'sage' and 'sea-spray' greens perfectly in keeping with its memorable waterside setting, the room has one the most antique Venetian floors (made up of powder, granules marble and mixed with transparent epoxy resin formulas), a painted closely-beamed ceiling, cushioned cane furniture and access, via the water door, to a small, dainty balcony all of your own - perfect for watching the gondolas row by, glass of Prosecco in hand.
There's a fully-furnished kitchen, well-equipped and with a washing machine, two comfortable and lovely master bedrooms with warm wooden flooring, plus two bathrooms - one en suite to the master bedroom with a tiled shower and the other with a bathtub. The apartment also has air-conditioning and Wi-Fi connection .
OUR COMMENT
A fantastically roomy and airy apartment, very central in the lively Rialto area and with breathtaking views over the Grand Canal and the Rialto Bridge, yet hidden away in a 'secret' campiello - the best of both worlds!
Within easy reach of a local 'Coop' supermarket for stocking up on supplies and moments to the newly opened and amazing 'T Fondaco Dei Tedeschi' luxury department store and to the many shops of the Strada Nuova.
Also close to a number of well-reviewed restaurants including 'Trattoria da Bepi Gia 54', 'Osteria La Bottega ai Promessi Sposi' and 'Casa Mia’ near the Church of Santi Apostoli, a great range of snacks at the popular ‘Rosticceria Gislon’ off Campo San Bartolomeo (their 'mozzarella in carrozza' is a must!), not forgetting the picturesque 'Taverna Del Campiello Remer' just moments from the apartment.

Amazing Grand Canal location
This ground floor apartment gave amazing views across to Rialto Mercato, with so much to watch from dawn to dusk. It is a very comfortable space to stay and has a wonderful restaurant virtually next door! We loved it.
This property was in the perfect location, it was close to restaurants and shops, which made eating and shopping extremely convenient. We had a view of the Grand Canal and enjoyed sitting on the balcony at night. Would definitely stay again!

We loved this apartment -
great location and lovely to sit and watch the life on the grand canal. Very well equipped apartment and the service from Views on Venice was excellent - proactive and very responsive. Will use again. While we did not mind, on warm and sunny days there can be noise outside the apartment as young locals like to gather in the Campillo outside. Also the dock outside is used for general deliveries so it cant be busy. But I would book the apartment again. The Taverna in the square is also a good local place.
Fabulous apartment in a fantastic location, exactly as described. Communication beforehand was excellent, complete with clear transfer instructions. Anna met us at the boat stop and accompanied us straight to the apartment, and then provided some great recommendations. Thanks Anna!

The communication was stellar from start to finish. Enrika and her team arranged a private water taxi upon our arrival via train.
One of team members met us at the home and provided everything needed for a great stay. The home is fantastic for a family or two couples. The location is phenomenal!!!!! Water front and close to the Rialto bridge. We highly recommended!!!!

We are delighted to hear that things went so well for you Michael (Ca’ Giulia position is indeed a real plus!) Having you as guests was a real pleasure and we very much hope to see you again soon. With thanks for your kind comments.
The location was convenient especially for getting right into the apartment from the water taxi, the apartment was large and well equiped, the reception was easy and comprehensive, and the responses to questions were immediate and helpful. Only issue was that occassionally there were people waiting on the dock right outside the side windows, so we closed the shades, and delivery boats were sometimes docked in the morning at the 2 piers servicing our water taxis, but did not end up being a problem.

Thank you so much! We’re really pleased to hear how things went and that you enjoyed Ca' Giulia and its position. Hoping very much that we see you again!
Wonderful stay in Venice! The sunsets at this house were amazing on the Grand canal. Also direct views of the fish market and Rialto bridge from the living room! Gondoliers came right by our bedroom window and out into the Grand canal! Convenient location to most attractions in Venice with only a short walk. The kitchen was adequately appointed although we didn’t cook on this trip. Would definitely recommend this place.
Amazing first floor apartment in ideal location. Situated on the Gran Canal a few minutes walk to the Rialto Bridge, this apartment has amazing views, a dock for water taxis, easy access, and a wonderful old world charm. Just a few minutes walk to all the key locations, shopping, and phenomenal restaurants. We loved our five day stay there and would recommend it highly as an alternative to a luxury hotel. Great communication with the property management. Love the place and will be back as soon as possible.

There aren’t that many apartments for rent on the Grand Canal and this one has one of the best location. It’s right around the corner from Rialto bridge and within 15 minute walk to major landmarks. Air conditioning is excellent in the living area and two bedrooms. There is a third bonus room with two bunk beds as well which has a floor unit AC if needed. We were able to unlock the front gate to the small patio on the Grand Canal and sit there sipping wine and saying hi to gondolas.

Hoping that we see you in Venice again in the future and with the best wishes of everyone in the team.
This home is absolutely fantastic. There is no better waterfront terrace on the canal. All the action - gondolas go right by waiving and wondering “oh my god how did they get that place!” Its wonderful. A bit of action in the morning with all the deliveries but would stay here again ina heartbeat. Very close to the mall and Rialto bridge. Its worth the $ for sure!

Magnificent view
The best we have ever had in any city
But getting to venue is difficult if you are over 50 years
Very challenging to drag heavy suitcases from canal transport. My back was in pain the next 4 days
Apartment owners should warn guests about this and strongly advise water taxi
We spent 4 nights at the apartment in August 2023 (myself, my wife and our 14-year old daughter). We only therefore used the two double-bedrooms.
The apartment was great with a large lounge that's right on the grand canal. You can open the large double doors and just drink in the sights and sounds of the Grand Canal. If you sit out on the little balcony, you can virtually touch the gondalers as they go up the little canal by the side of the apartment. However, the double glazing is very good, so once the windows are closed, its quiet. Also the house is the "sinking house" from the James Bond film Casino Royale.
Its easy to walk everywhere from the apartment and there are lots of very close restaurants.
Check in was a breeze and Isobella was waiting for us when we arrived.
We would definitely recommend this apartment.

My family of 2 adults and 2 children enjoyed 3 wonderful nights at this spacious & beautiful apartment. The location on the Grand Canal cannot be beat and we fell in love with all the little alleys, restaurants and shops in the neighbourhood. It was such a treat to be able to sit on the little terrace with a glass of wine and watch all of the action on the canal.
The apartment is just as the pictures show. Very pretty and very large living room & bedrooms. It is definitely old and a little musty but that was expected and just adds to the charm. The shower is very small but there are 2 washrooms and one has a large tub.The apartment is well stocked and very comfortable. The hosts could not have been more helpful or responsive. The apartment was perfect for us and we loved our stay!

Thanks for writing in Danielle, your holiday sounds just what a holiday should be! So glad that you and your family enjoyed yourselves and hope to see you again.
This is an older but very nice accommodation on the Grand Canal. The front of the property has a small deck that is basically at water level. During the day, they maneuver the gondolas from the Grand Canal onto the "street" immediately adjacent to the right side of the property as one looks out onto the Grand Canal. Many of the people in the gondolas are paying at least €70 per person for a view yet you have an incredible view of the Canal from the front deck and the very large windows. It is extremely easy to explore Venice from this location. One suggestion is that you rent a private boat to bring you to the property from the train station and also take you back to the train station when you leave. The public boats are often very crowded and it is worthwhile to pay for the private transportation. (For four of us, it cost €70 for the private boat each way.) Staying at this property is quite the experience.

Ciao Carl! Many thanks for the very useful feedback on your stay at Ca’ Giulia, we are happy to hear that you enjoyed its great position on the Grand Canal which is indeed a real plus. Really hoping to have the pleasure of having you back in Venice soon.
Our family stayed here for our first trip to Venice.
The place was as advertised and right on the water just steps away from the Rialto Bridge.
Shops, restaurants, and attractions were all very close.
Really great location. Our hostess was wonderful and quite helpful. She helped book dining reservations for our first night as well as water taxis to and from the train station. You get dropped off and picked up at the dock right outside your front door! I loved the small balcony out front and had cappuccino every morning as the girls got ready for the day’s adventure.
I have only one word of caution and that is the showers are elevated above floor level and you must be very careful getting in and out with wet feet. It’s a little bit tricky.
Other than that, only positive things to say. I would also like to say thank you to the people of Venice and Murano. Lovely places and great friendly people.Thank you for making our first visit memorable and wonderful.

What fabulous feedback, thank you Jeff! That you have such happy memories is great news to us and it was a pleasure to have you as our guests. Hoping to see you and your family again soon.
This apartment is the Venice experience cornerstone of our trip! My fiancé and I have both been to Venice before, but staying here put this time a league of its own. The furnishings are calm, comfortable and beautifully done. The bar/cafe right outside is fantastic. The porch watching the gondolas and the lights on the water is an event. We found ourselves enjoying the time in the apartment as if it were an activity itself, while others paid to have dinner by the canal we simply read books on the couch and looked out at the water. The location by Rialto is central and made moving about the islands or coming back to take a rest simple.
Views on Venice was amazing from start to finish. Excellent communication and assistance with requests, including the water taxi booking that can take you directly from the dock just a few steps away from the door. A wonderful woman named Anna met us at the vaporetto stop to show us how to get there and walk us through the property as well, she also sent us recommendations.
Everything about this listing is what you are looking for. I hope to go again very soon!

The apartment was perfect for our needs, they thought of everything from the coffee and tea to the bread, butter and jam. The location is amazing, centrally located to so much to see, do, eat and shops galore! The views and pictures we took from the balcony are amazing and open family room overlooking the canal is lovely and allowed for space for work and play for our group.
Better instructions on the trash would be great, we were not sure if the various recyclables needed to be in certain bags and where exactly to put the trash and recyclables outside. The signs say no garbage to be placed outside the door and there were no receptacles. We placed it closer to the pier and it was take so I guess it was ok to do so. Other than that, the place was fantastic!

About the host
Hosted by Views On Venice
Views on Venice was founded in the late 1990’s when the concept of short term apartment rentals was in its infancy and rarely considered an option by most visitors to the city. As a ‘thirty-something’ Venetian excited by the new business and communication opportunities offered by the internet, I decided to link up with a close childhood friend in creating a partnership which, at the time, was a novelty in Venice. The idea we had in mind was to approach the traditional management of my family’s apartments from an entirely different angle, while at the same time resisting the attentions of those wanting to transform my family's palazzo into a prestigious hotel. Our aim was to offer these apartments, as well as those of friends, for rental to an international clientele who’d take pleasure in the comfort, freedom and authenticity of ‘living at home as a Venetian’ rather than merely observing the city from the confines of an anonymous hotel room or suite. The common denominator then, as now, was to offer ‘something extra’ amidst an already extraordinary city - an added dimension which turns a ‘stay’ into an ‘experience’ and a 'dream' into 'reality'.
