The Coverack Headland used to be a Victorian Hotel. It was converted into a select development of flats and cottages. The property is located in acres of unspoilt coastal scenery with a gentle walk down to its own safe, sandy bathing beach. Within its private grounds there is also an all-weather tennis court. From the Headland there are several delightful coastal walks rich with wildlife interest and some of the most magnificent scenery in the country. The Headland stands in one of the most southerly points of England, basking in the Gulf Stream. Within easy walking distance is the fishing village of Coverack with its picturesque harbour, restaurants, coffee shops ,a pub and a hotel. This is a very comfortable self catering first floor one bedroom flat with a balcony and the most splendid uninterrupted views over its own secluded beach and uninhabited Cornish coast. The property is let on a seven-night basis from FRIDAY to FRIDAY. The flat has recently been completely refurbished with a new fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. It comes fully equipped with bed linen, towels, television and a dvd player. Free WiFi is also included.
There are lots of things in addition to walking to do in the area with the new Tate in St Ives and Barbara Hepworth’s house with many of her sculptures. St Just also has several small galleries promoting local artists. Falmouth and Penzance have larger galleries and because the county has a long tradition of painting there are usually new exhibitions on. The Minack Theatre built into the cliff side at Porthcurno with its dramatic seascape backdrop is a must for any visitor at all times of the year. Also, a trip to St Mawes via the King Harry ferry is most enjoyable. Naturally there are several good pubs, tearooms and restaurants on the Lizard peninsula ,serving excellent local produce , in which to while away many a pleasant hour . Further information can be provided on what to do, where to go and where to eat. For the golfer there is Mullion golf course with its stunning coastal views nearby .
There is a lot to be said for sitting and staring out of the window.
Please note:There are currently no facilities at The Headland for charging electric vehicles and charging cannot be done from an extension lead to a 13amp socket

Thank you Robert for your kind words.
And thank you for revisiting the flat .
Hope you may wish to return. You are very welcome.
The code changes every year for security reasons. I will always send you the new code.
This is a beautifully presented flat, which has recently been refurbished. A small balcony with wonderful views over the grounds and the headland make it a very mindful and magical location.

And thank you for your kind words in the visitor’s book. And of course you would be welcome to return .It’s glorious here at the moment!
Such a homely apartment. Everything you need. Super big comfortable bed. The views are spectacular! Easy walk to the best beach we have seen. Walks on the coastal path right from the door. Lovely and clean.Would love to stay again.
Gorgeous place to be, fantastic view at the coast from the balcony and the living room. Just watch the sailing boats and bigger ships passing by, listening to the breaking waves…The little flat is lovely and well equipped, we did not miss a thing and felt well immediately. It is only a few minute walk down to the beach. In about 10 minutes you can go along the coast path to Coverack village, we liked the sandwiches etc. at the Arthurs cafe. The host provides you with a lot of good ideas for nice places to visit around as well as with good tips for food locations. Kind regards from Germany, we really enjoyed our time at Coverack Headland!

Hope you don’t need to ask for anything
The apartment is nice, very well equipped kitchen and comfy bed. The views from lounge are stunning. Only thing that spoilt our stay was attitude of owner and cleaner who were reluctant to provide an iron even though this was on list of equipment. We were told ‘no-one in 5years has asked for an iron’! We also asked for a fan as the lounge windows didn’t open and it was the hottest week of the year. Again we were informed nobody ever asked for a fan before, it was then suggested we leave early as we obviously weren’t comfortable in the flat. We did get requested items but not willingly given. Never experienced anything quite like that before.

I’m sorry you had an uncomfortable stay with several issues which is why I offered for you to leave with reimbursement. Thank you for pointing out that an iron and board must be provided as it’s on the amenities list. It was provided almost immediately . The French door, leading to the balcony ,the kitchen window and the side sitting room window open providing a cross sea breeze. The large front facing ones are kept shut for safety and they are awkward inward opening.
Blinds have been installed to help with the glare and heat if required. I’m glad my housekeeper was able to provide you a fan as soon as possible. Regrettably she too was upset by your attitude towards her .
Neither she nor I have ever had any issues with guests before who have been made to feel very welcome and have in turn been courteous. I refer you to all the other reviews and the visitor’s book.

Simply wonderful
We had set Cornwall as a holiday destination because of the coastal landscapes and were not disappointed. During the 14-day stay, we also had picture-book weather, which significantly expanded the possibilities. The area around Coverack is very extensive, nothing works without a car. The neighbourhood has a wonderful view, the photos are all reality. We could look wonderfully at the English Channel with its passing ships from our balcony or window. Nature observations of seals and birds have shortened the time. We could even observe the blow of a whale. In summary, we were extremely satisfied and would like to mention the friendly landlady here in particular, thank you very much
Thank you for your kind words and the very thoughtful hamper of German goodies. I shared them with Lynn and the book is in the flat.
The flat was compact, comfortable, very clean and well equipped, in a peaceful location with great views over the sea from the balcony. On our arrival we found an extremely generous welcome pack.

Thank you Peter for taking the time to write me an email ( in perfect English)with your observations and suggestions . I can only apologise that the extractor filter was not as clean as it should be.
We had considered blinds on the front window as the flat does get sunny but decided the view was too precious. The side blind keeps the afternoon sun out.
Most people do also like the personal effects of the books, ornaments and the art .
And yes it is a topper on top of the mattress which makes the bed so comfortable.
I’m so pleased you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your generosity to Lynn. She wants me to pass on her thanks.
And of course I hope you visit Cornwall again.
Beautiful spot and a lovely, tiny flat with all that one might need (except for a microwave - for which there is not enough space) and it provided a lovely rest.
Great communication prior to arrival. Apartment is lovely and well equipped for 2 people. Clean, tidy and homely. Amazing views that I defy anyone to get bored of. The coastal walks were challenging in places but the views made up for the achy calf muscles. Very sad to be leaving this heavenly spot. Absolutely recommend and will definitely be returning at the earliest opportunity.

Thank you for your kind review. You were ideal guests and welcome anytime.
The flat is great! It's small but perfectly sized for a couple. It sits very quietly overlooking the sea. Perfect for a weekend away from it all and an excellent starting point for walks along the coast.
Lovely bolthole for 1 week. Well equipped cosy apartment with fantastic sea views. Nice & quiet spot down quiet private lane. Bring binoculars for wildlife & ship spotting. Saw dolphins going by and many seals in small coves around. Big hikers so took advantage of SW coastal path right outside. Enjoy
Beautiful well cared for apartment which is small but perfect. The kitchen is well equipped and the bed is so comfy!
I don’t think I could ever tire of the view.
The apartment is right on the South West coast path with excellent challenging walks in both directions.
It’s a short walk into Coverack which has everything you need for provisions.
It was the perfect place for a socially distanced staycation.
Simply perfect setting and a wonderful flat to spend a week in Coverack. Fantastic views and excellent facilities. We hope to return in the future. Thank you so much!
