The laundry room has two washers and two dryers but one washer was down and the signs led me to believe it has been out of service for a long time. The machines require quarters and there is no change machine. The laundry room is dimly lighted and the machines are dinghy. We took our laundry elsewhere. This property is quiet and is an excellent location. The off-street parking is great. We weren't able to use the TV in the bedroom... the signal was too slow but the TV in the living room is great! The mattress is extremely soft, kind of like reclining in a bowl of pudding. This property is an excellent value and the location is great for destinations in south Austin like Matt's El Rancho, Terry Black's BBQ, the Broken Spoke for live music, Sandy's Burgers, Barton Springs Pool, Zilker Park and Botanic Gardens.

Great stay!

Visited Austin, TX with my mother for a musical festival. We preferred a cozy stay for our quick over-the-weekend visit in Texas. I was satisfied with the stay and the host was friendly & helpful as well. Would recommend.

The location was most beneficial for us. The bed and futon were both comfortable. The place was clean, but we were disappointed that it smelled of cigarette smoke. FYI - The bathroom door did not always stay shut. We had difficulty placing the cover on the lock box.

There is a no smoking policy. All linens are washed after each stay. The lock cover is simple to use. First complaint.

Location, location, location!

This was an excellent location for us. Loved the dedicated, off-street parking, air conditioning and laundry facilities. If I could change one thing, a firmer mattress would be nice.

Nice apartment in South Lamar District

We had a nice stay at Rashaka's apartment. The apartment was very clean, in a nice neighborhood, and we had everything we needed. It is close to restaurants and businesses, so you have easy access to anything you need. Rashaka was very responsive when we contacted him. A very enjoyable stay! Thanks, Rashaka!

First time using Vrbo. It was a simple process. Place was just as advertised. Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is the bed was a bit too squeaky. It would squeak with any movement but other than that it was all good.

Simple and Convenient

In town for the Austin Film Festival. The location was a little far from downtown, but that was on purpose as I rented a bike so I could get some cycling in while I was in town. Safe neighborhood, walking distance to good coffee and restaurants on Lamar. Apartment is simple but exactly what I needed as I was really just there to sleep and get ready in the mornings. I plan on coming back annually for the festival and will definitely consider staying here again in the future.

One week stay

Our stay was 7 nights. Pros: Good wifi connection and a nice location with easy access to restaurants and bike rentals. Great communication with owner. Cons: Uncomfortable bed–lumpy, squishy, and creeky. We tried switching to the fold-out futon in the living room, but it was also very uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend this bed for more than one night. We found it strange that we paid a cleaning fee but were told to make sure the apartment was ready for the next guest. Stripped beds, wash dishes, take out the trash to dumpster, and spray the house with disinfectant.

The guest did not share any information with me while staying for one week. She used a review to share her grievances. I have had over 500 STR stays and no one has complained until this review. We are in a pandemic so there is additional guidance that is shared to protect the workers, guests, and myself. Full cleaning is done before and after every guest. They are a cleaning service and not a maid service. I have a contract with the cleaning company. If their guidelines are not followed, then additional money is requested. The guidance you reference is subjective. It has worked for 5 years until now. I am sorry you were inconvenienced in any way.

It was fine

User error on my part caused me to call the rental owner, only to learn that the phone number listed wasn’t available. Fortunately I figured out what detail I was missing to access the unit before VRBO was forced to book me and my mom somewhere else. The unit was good, though the futon/couch was uncomfortable if you sat for too long. It was disinfected, but the floor could use a good mop and the garbage disposal didn’t work. Through the VRBO app, the rental owner was very responsive, and I really liked the bed. Lots of linens and well stocked kitchen. Overall the rental was fine.

The floor is thoroughly clean after each guest. This was discussed. The garbage disposal has something hung in it. The dog was not included in the initial reservation. Not sure what number was called. My number has not changed in 25 years. The VRBO number worked as well.

Tailgate weekend

Don´t look more, pick this one

Close to downtown on taxi, clean, ordered, had a first aid kit, a couple bottles of water on the table. Apartment number was deep in the instructions (hard to find) but I wrote to Rashaka and got an answer in minutes. Easy check-in. He cared about us getting-in easily, that all was as we expected, and that it went fine throughout the days.

Fantastic location in the 78704

If you know you know. .that's what they say right? well, the location of this property just off South Lamar and Oltorf, about 2.5 miles from the Barton Sprints entrance to Zilker Part is fantastic. One bedroom but quite large for a one bedroom condo in that area. Very comfortable. Very peaceful. Walking distance to a lot to do in the S Austin area. If you're a craft beer (and pizza fan) you are ~10 minute walk from the ABGB Craft Brewery and Pizza Beer Garden, and about a 15 minute drive from several other craft breweries in the area. ~3-4 miles to the downtown Hike and Bike Trail which takes you along Cesar Chavez out east past I35 and back. So much more.. Back to the location: futon in the front room, very comfortable bed in the bedroom. Coffee maker and coffee if you want to use it otherwise there are a couple coffee shops within walking distance. All sorts of toiletries. This was very much appreciated. Kitchen is well-stocked with cooking and storage needs. There is an HEB a few miles out so be prepared if you traveled without a car (as I did) as you'll need to use ride share to get there. TV in the den and another in the bedroom. I didn't watch much television during my stay but I did manage to catch the Sunday night NFL game and I have zero complaints about the TVs. If you're like me, you won't spend much time in the place anyways so TV isn't anything you might care about. If you do, well, no reason to do so. Rashaka was and has been very responsive and the attention to detail is fantastic. Go to Austin. Secure this location. Enjoy your time. You shouldn't need a hotel room. This space is better than a hotel room. Trust me. Don't miss out.

nice place in a nice location

There was much to like about this property: nice neighborhood with sidewalks for walking, friendly owner who was responsive, nice condo with most everything one would need. The main thing I would change is that the bed needs a new mattress and possibly box springs. The bed is too low and too soft. Also, the shower could use a grab bar. Otherwise, everything was great.

Hip neighborhood

Perfect little place!

This was a perfect little place to stay during Ketocon. Walkable to everything, just down the block from my daughter, affordable. I couldn't ask for anything better. It was clean and had lots of toiletries and coffees (I didn't use them but it's nice to know they were available!), The only two TINY quibbles I had were the fact that the entry code sometimes took me two or three tries (kind of tempermental) and the tub didn't have a non-slip mat (for old ladies like me). Silly little nothings. I would definitely rent it again and my daughter is ecstatic that I found such a great place for her visitors from out of town!

Clean, comfortable, and well-equipped

We spent a couple of nights here while we were in the process of moving and were really happy to have it as a refuge in the middle of the chaos. It was really comfortable and exceptionally clean and well-equipped. We were too tired to attempt cooking but everything we would have needed was there. There were even reasonably sharp knives which almost never happens. I do have kind of mixed feelings about the manner of entry to the apartment. The apartment has an electronic lock and the owner sends you the code for it right before check in. On the one hand, it makes arrival very flexible,, which was nice for us in light of everything we needed to get done in the process of moving out of our apartment. On the other hand, the mechanism was pretty finicky and several times rejected the proper code. Also, the keys are fairly small and close together which my husband found a little awkward. All told, we will almost surely be staying there again when we visit Austin in the future and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to a really persnickety friend.
