Beautiful home with amazing views! The home was very clean and well stocked with amenities. The only suggestion would be an electric skillet for the kitchen. The beds were super comfortable too! The host was very quick to respond to our needs. We had a rough first night, but it all worked out. Great location especially since it snowed...made it truly a ski-in and ski-out. We had a really good time.

Thank you so much for the wonderful and thoughtful review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the beautiful views, comfortable beds, and well-stocked home. We appreciate the suggestion about the electric skillet and will certainly take that into consideration. While we’re sorry to hear about the rough first night, we’re happy everything worked out and that you were able to fully enjoy the ski-in/ski-out location—especially with the fresh snow! We’d love to welcome you back for another great stay.

Great Stay with Fantastic Views

Overall the home's location and views were fantastic. We were somewhat disappointed with the cleanliness of the floors and the home overall feeling worn. We ran into a number of issues including the microwave not working, the second floor shower was inoperable, the grill had not been cleaned, floor mats in the master bath were dirty, etc. Besides these details we greatly enjoyed our stay.

Thanks for your feedback. We just replaced the router which greatly improved the WIFI speed. We recently replaced the ice maker but are unaware of anything that does not work in the kitchen. We also encourage our guests (via an email the day after arrival) to advise if anything in the home needs attention so we can address it during your stay. So great, yet…

Unique multi-layer layout with fabulous views. House was comfortable and met our needs, but… Parts were great-spa tub, sauna, heated floor, fire burning fireplace, loft, balconies. Parts were also not great-minor annoying broken parts here and there, nasty vent hood, junky pantry and garage, shabby LR furniture. With a little more care it could be so much more.

Convenient for skiing

Beautiful property close to the slopes! If you are not in the mountains to ski, this may not be the property for you just due to the access to dining, shopping, etc. But if you are looking to ski Purgatory, this location is fabulous! Beautiful home, Stunning views and very attentative property management. However the stairs are no joke: if you have someone in your group who is not fully able to handle stairs, this may not be the property for you. But it was great for us! We Will be coming back!

Beautiful site

I think the house is beautiful and the views are beautiful! I feel that when you book management should give an instruction packet to tell how garbage is picked up ect! How some of the extras are to work or at least make sure they work before guest arrive! Like the sauna! And property management should look at site before renting to make sure employees are doing or fixing exactly what needs done properly! The facility is worth the stay, just need a little more communication for the amount you pay to stay! 😊

Great but what you need to know

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family had a great time there. Plenty of room . The kids enjoyed the loft where they played their PS4 a lot. We could have used more silverware and some more assortment of cooking pans, but we made do. The stairs was a bit much. There were a couple of us who could have really used the unavailable elevator. All the steps were very hard. We just didn’t realize so many steps. Should be in article when advertised. View was breath taking and all in all a very beautiful place.

Response from VrboOwner on 23 July 2024

Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad to hear that your family had a great time and that the kids enjoyed the loft for their PS4. We appreciate your feedback about the need for more silverware and cooking pans, and have taken inventory to replace and restock what is needed We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the stairs and the lack of an elevator and made sure this information is more clearly included in our listing. The breathtaking view and beautiful surroundings are truly special and we hope to welcome you back to experience them again soon! -Mackey

lovely Cantilever Lodge

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful home with all the amenities needed for our family of 12 + 3 babies. Property was clean, location was perfect for our walk to the slopes each day. Views from the giant picture windows were fantastic. Only issue was wifi - took us a while (about 12 hours) to get it working properly, and while the tech company we spoke to was very responsive, it took them a few calls and a stop at the house to get it up and running. Once it was addressed, no issues for the remainder of the days. One quick note - we brought extra paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher pods and trash bags. Would recommend the same for anyone who has a group of 12 or more and is staying for 4-5 days.

Beautiful Home and Location

Gorgeous views from the balconies and windows. This is such a fantastic home. My biggest complaint would be that the dishes were not very clean. In our case it was not hard water at all, it was food. We washed everything before we used it because it was quite unsavory otherwise. The oven also does not work properly. The main master bedroom has another bedroom connecting to it. They both share a bathroom but there is no privacy doors for the master bedroom from the bathroom. Also, to leave the smaller bedroom you must enter the master bedroom. It was a little odd but we were able to deal with it. Overall, this house is in an excellent location and absolutely beautiful - very spacious.

Stayed 3 nights in Sep 2020

Response from VrboOwner on 14 Oct 2020

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! I apologize the dishwasher did not thoroughly clean the dishes. They should have been cycled through one more time. I will bring this to the attention of our housekeeping team as this is not something that should be missed and is not consistent with our normal standards. Please always feel free to give us a call if you are having any issues like operating the oven. We do describe the layout of the bedrooms in the listing description so please be sure to read those before booking :) We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! It was an absolute pleasure to host you and we hope you stay with us again soon!

Outdated beauty

I’ve been to this property 4 times. Over all it is a good experience. There are just a few inconveniences that I would like to address. First, the hot water was not working due to the propane company not being able to service the tank. I understand it was due to weather but still annoying to be forced to take a cold shower. Second, the dry sauna has been out of service every time I’ve ever been to this property. It would be nice if this can be fixed and usable. And finally, it would be nice if the overall property could be spruced up. The first time I visited the property was in 2013 and even though it is still a nice house, it seems like it hasn’t changed much since then. Same bed spreads, curtains, etc…

Awesome property

We had a large group stay and it slept everyone comfortably. Beautiful place and great location. We did have some trouble getting up the icy driveway in our rental vans.. they provided salt which helped, the kitchen counters wasn’t very clean, (we gave them a good cleaning upon arrival) Over all the house was clean and neat. There is a lot of stairs (the elevator was locked) so if you have knee problems just a warning that this may not be for you. We had some minor issues. The kitchen filtered water was very slow (like the filter needed changed) and the faucet hot water took 25- 30 mins to get hot enough to do dishes, the Dryer wouldn’t dry clothes very well (again just needed a deep vent cleaning) and the jacuzzi tub felt a little dirty.. we only uses it once so no deal breaker there! We Loved loved the master suite. It had lots of privacy and we enjoyed the sauna and steam shower. (I have trouble breathing high altitude so we used the steam shower every day)! We would definitely stay here again. You can’t beat the views and the convenience of getting to the slopes!
