About this property
Incredible secluded beachfront, heart of Oahu's north shore A/C
Note: Changes to Hawaii law Jun 2019 limit rentals to 31 days or more on Oahu's North shore (our monthly rate competitive to 8 days at a resort hotel).
From the moment you first enter our home, you can just feel a sense of relaxation settle through your body as you hear the warm sounds of waves hitting the beach just outside the front door. The house has been recently renovated, with a complete kitchen and decks, both upstairs and downstairs, that each have expansive views looking out over the Pacific ocean all the way to Ka'ena Point at the northwest tip of Oahu. Upstairs we have two bedrooms, a bathroom, living room and wet bar. The floor downstairs has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room and full kitchen with all the appliances you might need. Just steps out the front door is one of the most secluded beaches you'll find on Oahu's north shore -- although be advised that you may have to share the beach with one or two of our local turtles. Talk about local knowledge.
The property is close to charming Haleiwa town, with its local shops and restaurants, Waimea bay, and Shark's cove. There are plenty of local activities in the area, but you may find it hard to leave the dazzling sunsets, uncrowded beaches and warm water in front of the property. In spring, summer and fall we have great snorkeling just in front of the house, with abundant ocean wildlife on the reef. In January/February, the humpback whales can often be seen mating offshore.
As long time residents of Hawaii, we spent years looking for the perfect place on Oahu's north shore. This is it.
We prefer families and can accommodate up to 7. Find us at Kaleakai for specials. There is also a manager on site in the rare case any problems should arise. Sorry, no pets or smoking.
Come visit us and see what we mean by 'living aloha'.

We absolutely loved our stay. The location is absolutely incredible, with beautiful beaches literally on our back doorstep. The amenities within the home made this a perfect choice for our group of five adults and two young kids. Rob & Fe were available if we needed them, but never intrusive. We had a wonderful holiday and this home was a major factor in that. Can't wait to return!

Wonderful Location and Wonderful Accomodations
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful beach-front home. The location is delightful with two places to view the ocean and easy access to a beach with turtles! The house is very comfortable with lots of attention to detail. The rooms are spacious with closet space (including hangers - thank you!). Main kitchen had everything we needed plus we used the upstairs refrigerator and Keurig, too. Owner very easy to work with and we had a fabulous stay. Already missing the great sleep from the ocean lullaby! We highly recommend this beautiful North Shore home!

Thank-you for the nice review. We appreciate you treating the property like your own, and we'd love to have you back anytime you plan a vacation on the North shore of Oahu.

The pictures, as great as they are, don’t do this house justice. They can’t capture the fact that you can SEE the Milky Way it’s so unpolluted with light. They can’t capture that the snorkeling out front is fantastic and that pods of dolphins and monk seals swim by. We absolutely loved our week here and we were sad to leave. Plenty of room for two families, like we had. The kitchen was fully equipped and the hosts were absolutely lovely. We shall return!

Gorgeous beachfront property
This is a beautiful beachfront house with a ton of space. Lots of amenities including sand toys, beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs. The master bedroom has amazing ocean views! Great swimming spot for kids down the beach. Saw a large sea turtle right on our beach! Great easy walk down to the water. Great lawn for kids and two decks. Love the power hose and outdoor shower for easy rinsing. Fantastic place to watch the sunset! Great location for all north shore activities. Robert is a great host. Very communicative and helpful!

Wonderful Home! Great time in Haleiwa!
My large family just returned from spending 8 days at this wonderful home. It was great having two living spaces - it gave everyone space to spread out and a quiet area for my grandson to sleep. We loved the lanai and spent the majority of our time there. It was amazing to watch the sunset while having dinner and drinks. We saw whales in the water on more than one occasion - not to mention the turtles that live on the beach below the house.
Our family loves to snorkel, and this home has a great snorkeling area with Alligator rock just down the beach. If you love to surf or boogie board, then this is also a great spot. All in all, this is a lovely home that is well maintained in a great location. Great for families!

Amazing stay!
My family stayed at this amazing home for a week in March, and it was everything we could have asked for. Amenities were great, the kitchen had everything we could need, there were tons of beach toys, plenty of towels and anything else you could need. The only thing I would have to say is that with no a/c, the house did get really warm, especially the upstairs area. But the beach was right out the back door, we saw turtles in the water and on the sand, and were so glad we brought binoculars because we were able to sit on the patio and watch the surfers and the occasional whale in the distance! The owners were great and easy to contact, thanks for such a great week!

Location, Location, Location
On the north shore of Oahu, this house provides an unbeatable location! Besides the beauty of the home, and views of the ocean, it's within a few miles of wonderful restaurants, food trucks, and shopping. The house provided more than enough room for our family. Daytime excursions to Waimea Bay and waterfall, snorkeling at Shark's Cove, Diamond head, and a shark encounter always led us back to watching the sunset from the lanai. We look forward to coming back to this beautiful island paradise. Thank you to the owners, Fe and Robert, for being so accessible and for sharing your home with us. Hana Hou! Aloha

Wonderful property
Rob and Fe shared their amazing North Shore property with our family of five for a great stay! The location is great and the house exceeded our expectations. We only used the bottom floor however there is plenty of room for a larger family or even two to spread out with two bedrooms, living area and second small kitchen in the lock off top floor.
The views are spectacular and the quiet beach was perfect for relaxing and cooling off. The beach has some rocks but is accessible to walk in. Beware the currents though even when it looks calm they can sneak up on you!
The house is well equipped with everything you need: modern appliances, grill, chairs, boogie boards, washer/dryer, A/C (we didn’t use thanks to the cool breezes) and even sun shades on the deck.
Location makes it easy to drive up to the pipeline for food trucks and watching surfers or a drive south to Haleiwa for dinner or boat charters.
Communication with Fe and Aron was easy and pleasant. Can’t wait to return!

Fantastic Oceanfront Home on North Shore
The view as absolutely fantastic!!! We would sit on the lower porch and watch surfers while having breakfast. If we wanted a wider view, we could go to the balcony on the second floor to see further. Giant turtles on the shore almost every day.
Our younger travelers stayed upstairs so they could make their own hours, while the rest of us stayed downstairs. The house has everything we could think of - Keurig machines, all kitchen things, spices, grill.
A/C in each bedroom AND the downstairs living area meant that everyone could be comfortable at their preferred temperature.
In addition, they generously allowed use of boogie boards, beach chairs, towels and umbrellas.
Fe & Rob were perfect to work with - gave us all the information we could possibly want - excellent communication throughout the entire process. And it was an excellent value.
We loved hearing the pounding of the surf as we drifted off to sleep each night.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND this home.

We spent a thoroughly relaxing week at this beautiful, spacious and very comfortable home.
Everything was immaculate, the furnishings very pleasant, and there's nothing like looking out over the ocean and sleeping to the sound of the waves lapping the shore. The view is simply stunning.
The location is very private, and yet we were just a short ride away from the charming town of Haleiwa where we could go to the well-stocked organic grocer, shop for locally-made goods, or have fun at Matsumoto's shave ice. Very family-friendly restaurants in town too, with very good food and service. Just over a mile in the other direction is Waimea Falls and the very special botanical gardens.
Having 2 floors in the house with 2 of the 5 bedrooms being upstairs made it especially comfortable, adding a bit of privacy. For us, when the little ones were napping, we could still go about our day without worrying that we would wake them. The inner courtyard is completely enclosed, making it a relaxing place to sit and also a safe place to let young children play. The back yard is also hedged in, making it a nice place for the children and adding a layer of privacy from the beach (which is fairly secluded anyway with only occasional passers-by). We were able to watch a nesting sea turtle from our yard!!
The 2 lanais overlooking the sea were were absolutely delightful. The house faces west, so we were able to watch the sunset each evening and every day was amazing and different. The kitchen is well-equipped, there is a gas grill, beach and play equipment, 3 full baths, and the beds were very comfortable. There is a super-nice on-site manager, and both he and our hosts were responsive as well as excellent representatives of the Aloha spirit. Mahalo, Rob & Fe, and we hope to be able to visit again!!

We had 2 families stay here and everyone had an amazing time! Our trip to Hawaii was 2 nights in Waikiki, 2 nights at an incredible resort in Ko Olina and 5 nights at this home and everyone agreed that we enjoyed our stay here the best and would spend all our time back here if ever given the chance again. The photos don't do the property and beach justice. A very comfortable place to stay and everything you need is just down the road, groceries, restaurants etc.. Aside from that, everything else you need is right here at the house; beach, sun, snorkling, turtles and more. The property manager was also very nice and helpful! Glad he was there. Thanks so much for sharing your house with us, we certainly hope to be back!
Couldn’t ask for a more perfect setting or vacay home. Kitchen extremely well-stocked with spices, pans etc.
View is incredible and owners were VERY responsive and helpful. You’ll not be disappointed if you choose this property.
We loved staying at this beautiful home. The area was peaceful and low key and we basically had the beach to ourselves every day even though it was a holiday weekend. We went to nearby Waimea Bay (walked about a mile there to avoid the highway traffic, but could have driven) for a larger/more sandy beach. The hosts were super helpful and responsive. The caretaker who lives on the property was very kind and easily available by text, but we didn’t see him at all after we checked in, so the home still felt very private. The sunset views from the decks were amazing. Would highly recommend this property!

loved staying here with our two daughters
We spent 4 nights here in late December 2018 and had a great time. What we liked:
1. Location - very close to nice beginner/intermediate surfing at Puenas and Chuns, and into town at Haleiwa. One thing to bear in mind about this part of Oahu is that the road can get trafficky in peak season (we are in full peak) and you have to avoid leaving at wrong time by car or you can get stuck in traffic.
2. Views - as pictures show you are right on the beach and look out over the surfers - very cool.
3. House itself - it's two units - one below and one above - they are both nice, but the upper one feels very airy and spacious as it has cathedral ceiling and opens onto deck with spectacular view. Lower one takes you to yard and then you step down to the beach. House is well-maintained and well-stocked but not fussy. Beds and linens were great.
4. Rob and Fe were easy to work with
Would definitely go back.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this neat and clean beach- front house. We snorkeled right in front and found lots of sea glass. Wonderful spot overlooking the ocean, sunsets, turtles! We loved it!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As an active family there was much to do within a short distance. We hiked Kaena Point, snorkled at Sharks Cove, SUP surfed at Chun's reef and in Haleiwa harbor. We cooked and ate at home most of the time. The kitchen was kind of cramped and not as well equipped as we'd have liked, but we managed fine. I was able to bake a birthday cake and the grill worked well for fish and veggies. The beds were comfortable and falling asleep and waking up to the crashing of the waves is hard to beat. And best of all...2 beautiful turtles on the beach the very first day! Thank you for a lovely home to settle into for a handful of days!

Wonderful Beach location
Once again our family had a great vacation at this wonderful house. This was our second year and plan on returning next year. The house is lovely and works well for our family of eight. It is big and spacious and has everything we need. The upper and lower decks have great views. Through out the day the beach is great for snorkeling, boogie boarding or just bobbing in the waves. The house location is what makes it great for us. Great beach out front but also within a ten mile drive of Sunset Beach, Sharks Cove and a really good snorkeling bay. Up the coast is a good store and a bunch of food trucks-nice for a lunch out. Haleiwa is a short distance away and a great little town for gift shopping and has lots of restaurants. We have discovered that after leaving the airport and heading to the house there is a Costco along the way. All in all a great house for a vacation with the family in Hawaii. Jennifer

Very convenient to a family event
Our family stayed for a few days to attend a family reunion. This home was so convenient to our North shore events and to our trips to Polynesian Cultural Center and Kualoa Ranch.
We had everything we needed to function. Just bought our food and brought home to cook.
Really enjoyed walking on the sand and enjoyed the swimming turtles right there and observing the big one that slept on beach every late afternoon.
As others have observed, without A/C it does get rather uncomfortable before you acclimate to the warm weather after traveling from the cool mainland Northwest. So recommend you open up windows, turn on all fans and draw blinds when sun is hitting the beach side of house.
Glad that our 20 somethings were able to have their own floor and us older folks got the main level. Very convenient.
Rob, Fe and George were very helpful and responsive. Much aloha and mahalo to you guys.

WE LOVE THIS HOUSE!
This house is perfect for a big group (or a smaller one)! Having two living spaces (two kitchens, lanais, several bathrooms) and five bedrooms is a great way to make sure everyone has their own space when travelling together. We've been here twice now and thoroughly enjoy it. The house is well maintained, the on-site property manager is very friendly and helpful (and only around when you need him to be), and the views from the lawn are breathtaking. The best part for us was the time we spent together for breakfast, happy hour, and/or dinner on the lanai overlooking the ocean with the turtle beach only feet away. We highly recommend this house for a north shore getaway.

About the host
Hosted by Fe Medoff
I was born and raised in Hawaii and have lived here for most of my life. Although now a grandmother, I still surf almost everyday and love to cook. I believe in a well stocked kitchen. We live on the east side of Oahu but have another home just steps from this property.
Why they chose this property
This beach is one of our favorite spots on all of Oahu. When this property was listed for sale, we knew it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. We would love to share our home with others who will respect and appreciate the natural beauty of the area.
