About this property
Beach Retreat with parking near the sea
Bright, spacious bungalow with a contemporary yet homely feel. Located in the desirable Tankerton part of Whitstable, minutes walk from the picturesque seafront, cafes, shops, restaurants, bus and rail links. The property has off road parking for two cars and a large garden with patio, Weber barbecue and outdoor seating. The bustling high street of Whitstable town centre is 1.7 miles; the historic city of Canterbury, 7 miles and the sandy beaches of Margate, 15 miles.
Beach Retreat has been designed to cater for a wide range of needs and interests.
For those with young families, we can provide a high chair, travel cot, children's crockery, toys, bath toys, beach essentials (buckets & spaces etc.), board games, DVD's and netflix subscription.
For older guests or those with impaired mobility, Beach Retreat is a bungalow with block paved drive, bedrooms, bathroom and outdoor patio all on one level.
Beach Retreat is dog friendly with a large enclosed garden, hard floor open plan living room, kitchen, dinner and doggy food and water bowls. There are lots of lovely long beach walks within minutes of the property for you to enjoy.
For guests travelling to Beach Retreat with friends, the cool open plan Scandinavian style outdoor and indoor living areas, Weber Barbecue and general sense of privacy make Beach Retreat an ideal space to relax and socialise.
Aside from the picture perfect sunsets, some of the (many) reasons people come to Whitstable are to browse in the numerous art galleries, museums and independent shops, sample the fresh local seafood (in particular the oysters for which Whitstable is famous) at the towns original fishing harbour, eat at some of the many excellent local restaurants; JoJo's, the Sportsman, the Whitstable Oyster Company, Wheelers and Pearsons to name but a few. Enjoy fish and chips on the beach washed down with a beverage from one of the local micro breweries or gin bars, or an ice cream from Sundae Sundae. You can go crabbing, on a boat trip or visit Whitstable castle with it's Pirate play park and scenic tearooms to enjoy a cream tea.
If you still have time to explore, heading further down the coast brings you to the sandy beaches of Joss and Minnis Bay, Margate with Dreamland and it's hip and happening Old Town or picturesque Broadstairs. Heading inland brings you to the historic city of Canterbury with its cobbled streets, ancient architecture and stunning cathedral. All within 60 miles of London.
We look forward to welcoming you to Beach Retreat.
