After a fun day at the beach, this charming fisherman’s cottage located in the heart of Whitstable's conservation area, is perfect to stroll home to. The artistic decor is fresh, light and comfortable, with all the things you need to feel at home. You walk straight into the cosy living room and through to the dining area, seating 4-6. The long, well-equipped kitchen, complete with dishwasher and washing machine, stretches to the patio doors and contains a table and chairs from where to enjoy a coffee in the morning, looking out on to the sunny garden. There is a convenient modern wet room with WC on the ground floor too which is very handy after you've strolled home from a dip in the sea. Upstairs you will find a large, bright bathroom with bath, WC and basin, and two bedrooms; one double and one twin, both with original decorative fireplaces.
Please Note: The house is in a quiet residential road so please be respectful of our neighbours and keep noise down after 10pm.
Thank you for visiting wonderful Whitstable and welcome to Painter Cottage. I hope you enjoy your stay here and build many happy memories of your seaside visit. I came to Whitstable for the first time only a year ago and immediately knew this house would be a perfect studio and backdrop for my painting, taking advantage of the beautiful setting and wonderful Whitstable light. I discovered the previous owner was a local artist and so the dream of Painter Cottage was born. Whitstable has a thriving Arts community and many interesting galleries you might like to visit during your stay. I will be supporting artists by featuring their art in Painter Cottage for guests to enjoy.
If you are interested in speaking to any of the artists about possibly buying one of their paintings, you will find their details on the tag on each painting.
