The Writers Retreat- Hastings

We invite you to stay in our inspirational Artists Cottage in the heart of Alexandra Park. This tranquil setting is the perfect get away for couples looking for a creative getaway amongst the trees. Located inside the beautiful Alexandra park this property offers the best of Hastings with the Beach, park, Town Centre & Hastings Historic Old Town within walking distance.

The ground floor opens to the living room which contains an extensive record collection and TV with Chromecast.
Also on the ground floor is the piano room, which leads through to the eat in kitchen and gives access to the private cottage garden.
Follow the stairs up and you will find two double bedrooms both beds have fantastic memory foam mattresses with crisp white Egyptian cotton linen and fluffy pillows.
Just next door to the bedrooms is the writing room. A room with a small desk, a small library of classic and contemporary literature, and a big armchair for those times you need to wait for a little inspiration. Look inside the bureau and you’ll find boardgames to keep the gang occupied on lazy days.
The bathroom has a separate shower and bath, great for a long soak after a day walking or at the beach. There are natural, vegan toiletries provided (body wash, shampoo, conditioner) which are each scented with essential oils only.

The Cottage is accessed by following the path through the park to your private gate and entrance. Away from the road and the hustle and bustle of town life, you can imagine yourself inside a forest.

All of our properties are self-check in, however we will send all guests our contact details should they need us during their stay.

The Cottage is set in the middle of Alexandra park, a very unique location. Hastings town centre is about a 15min walk away and leads onto the Old town where you will find an array of boutique shops, bars and cafes.

Hastings train station is approximately a 15 minute walk from the property.

There is free on street parking on St Helens road.
