Ajijic Centro. Tranquility, security & privacy - Exclusive use of 34' lap pool.
Two bedroom, two bath cottage-style CASITA (whole guest house) with private 34 foot pool. Please rinse using shower at shallow end of pool, before and (if you wish) after swimming. Beautiful mature garden.
Exclusive, central and private Los Arcos historical 16th Century Estate - gated only at night. Nine painstakingly restored private houses each one unique. Design assist by much-loved Ajijic and San Miguel Allende, Cuban-born designer, Gene Fortun.
Prime location, minutes from the lake and the west end of the malecon (paved walk along the lake). View of Sierra mountains behind the property. Fifteen minute easy walk to Ajijic central plaza. Convenience shopping just yards up the road at Seis Esquinas (Six Corners).
Charming, renovated two-bedroom, on quiet tree-lined privada (cul-de-sac). Fully equipped. Each bedroom has en suite bathroom with large showers. Spacious living/dining room with glass wall opening onto the garden. Brand-new galley kitchen with rosa-morada, wood cabinets. Beautiful garden and solar-heated, pool. The Privada has gates that are locked at night for total security (guests have a remote and a pedestrian gate key). Available from May 1st to November 5th.
in the scenic and charming village of Ajijic. (*Landlord has forty five-star reviews for this property on the 'other' site.)
A stone's throw to the beautiful kilometer-long, palm-shaded, malecon (boardwalk). A leisurely 15 minute stroll or brisk, ten minute walk to the square. Includes maid service once a week, gardener, internet, smart TV (Roku, or your favorite provider, streaming only) NO CABLE!

About the host

Well traveled, retired professionals once, and still, involved in education and the arts. We love reading, music, theatre, cinema, good company and enlivened conversation
Why they chose this property
We tried hard and could find no better property or neighborhood in all of Ajijic.
The property was in the family but in need of total restoration.
In the end, that is what we did.
We live in the Casa (large house). When we are not there we rent the Casita (guest house). We had it restored for family and friends and to live in ourselves while the Casa was being restored. It is a great place to live and spend time, airy, cozy and comfortable.

What makes this property unique
Large very secure and tranquil property with mature gardens and a natural bird sanctuary. Bird-watching and hiking groups are quite famous here as well as the Festival de Febrero, an eclectic classical, jazz and 'other' music festival attended by musicians from around the world. And when you tire of that, relax in the 34 foot salt-water, heated pool. We are also a walk away for the renowned Day of the Dead festivities in November.
Though central to the village of Ajijic, you might never know it. It is that quiet and peaceful.
